    Till when can we expect IOS USB display coming ? because I use the usb on android a lot and thinking of switching to IOS, but using spacedesk is really important for me

    Hi @krakerino,

    Have you tried connecting your tablet directly to your PC without the USB extender? is the issue still happening using that setup?
    there is a similar bug present in the old spacedesk viewer app. Please make sure that your app is updated to the latest version 0.91.10 in the playstore.

    BTW: charging your phone while using spacedesk via USB cable at the same time should not affect its connection.

    We can see the same behavior only with USB cable connection.
    If it’s via Wi-Fi, it should reconnect properly upon power resume on your Android device.
    Also, is your spacedesk viewer app updated? If not, please make sure to update it to v0.91.10 in the Playstore as well as your spacedesk Driver to v1075

    Hi everyone,

    Not really sure if this should be classed as a bug or feature request, but I have realised when I turn my phone off which is mirroring as a second display, and then turn it back on it still works, but if it’s been off for around 10 minutes it will just show a black screen or won’t update from the last shown screen. are there any workarounds to this?

    We actually have virtual webcam driver software and a virtual microphone driver software on shelf and ready to be used. We developed these for corporate customers, but so far we never had time to integrate them into our own software spacedesk. Corporate customers are keeping us too busy always. But who knows, maybe you will be the corporate customer who will contrtact us to integrate these existing Windows webcam and microphone drivers into spacedesk?

    It appears that this issue may indeed be related to Windows settings, as we cannot reproduce it on any of our devices with different spacedesk configurations. For other users who might encounter this issue in the future, could you please let us know once you’ve found the cause? We will continue investigating this as well and will also update you once the cause is identified.

    Well, I wasn’t able to figure out how to do the debug mode, and then I got distracted with other stuff, but recently I figured out something that seems noteworthy. I put spacedesk on my yogabook touchscreen laptop and noticed that the glitchy behavior wasn’t present on the laptop, but just upon my PC. The laptop runs Windows 10 and came preinstalled for use with a stylus by lenovo, and the PC is running windows 11 (dell). I use a wacom tablet on the PC, and sometimes even a direct connection has shown that the tablet produces glitch as well, so it must be a setting on windows and probably not a spacedesk fault.

    We have now reproduced the same behavior you are experiencing. Unfortunately, as of now, this is an expected behavior with spacedesk. You won’t be able to use the actual mouse pointer as a hover pointer with your stylus. If you are using an active stylus (e.g. SPen), we recommend checking its pen settings to see if there is an option like ‘Hover pointer’ or ‘Show pointer when hovering’, if there is, please enable it.

    Okay I’m not sure what happened but eventually it was fixed:

    – I’m still tinkering with it, reinstalling spacedesk on my Android tablet and it became even worse: Even when there is no USB cable plugged in, after opening the app, it flashes through the home screen and then turn into a black screen.
    – I went to apkmirror, redownloaded the previous version, still has the same bug.
    – I switched off all 3 toggles in the spacedesk Driver Console in my Windows PC (the big green toggle, the “Local Area Network” and the “USB Cable Android” checkboxes), and after switching them on again it’s fixed and worked as normally.
    – I uninstalled the old version, and reinstalled the latest version via Google Play Store and it’s working as expected.
    – Additional information: I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the app multiple times before but it didn’t help. 

    I hope there is an easier way to log the bug to improve user experience. I still don’t know what was wrong with my setup. It was working fine, and then there’s a bug, and suddenly it’s working fine again.

    Thank you very much for sending your diagnostic logs.
    Are you using USB Hub or you are plugging it directly into your Machine’s USB Port?

    Could you please try the following:
    -Uninstall your spacedesk driver > then reboot your machine > install it again.
    -Restart your Android device.
    -Try a different USB cable / plug your cable into a different USB port.
    -If the issue still persists, please go to Device Manager, locate your Android device, and check for any errors (indicated by a yellow exclamation mark). If you see one, right-click on it > select ‘Properties,’ > go to the ‘General’ tab > take a screenshot > send it to us.

    Not the owner of the post, but I have the same issue as him. I’ve tried disabling the “Enable Touch Screen Control” option but the behavior still persists.

    I tried those just now and I’m still having the same issue. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with spacedesk or my laptop at this point. I’ve tried it with two tablets (Android 9 and android 11) and my phone (android 9) and none have worked properly. It seems like once I get to a certain pressure level, it loops back around to the smallest size possible. I have gotten it to work properly by turning my volume down a few notches, so maybe it’s just extra sensitive on my devices

    I am trying to setup a system where my main display is replicated to 4 other displays. This is needed for an event presentation where WiFi is not available. SpaceDesk works great for the replication – but I am in a bind on how to create a local wireless network – when there is no internet access. I was hoping to use the Mobile Hotspot functionality in Win10/11 and use that as a hub. But the mobile hotspot feature only works to share an existing WiFi connection – not to setup a new one. Any ideas on the best way to get this going? Will buying a cheap router solve the need? Any way to make it happen without buying new hardware?

    I will have a total of 5 devices – combination of Windows and Chromebooks.

    We tried reproducing this issue, but we still haven’t observed it on any of our available devices.
    Not sure if they’ll work, but if you haven’t tried these steps yet, please try the following:
    try reinstalling the spacedesk Android viewer v0.91.10 > reboot your Android device then recalibrate it again, make sure that the volume is turned all the way up.

    – Restart your primary machine
    – try reinstalling your Graphics Driver

    Thank you very much for sending your diagnostic logs.
    However, some information was not captured by the logs you sent. Could you please send your diagnostic logs again? This time, while the diagnostic is running, try to reproduce the black screen issue.

    just follow the steps below:
    – open spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics
    – if Debug View is not available, please click the download button first
    – switch Diagnostic Collection ON (make sure to click Yes in the User Account Control box to proceed)
    – try to connect your viewer and reproduce the Black screen issue
    – switch Diagnostic Collection OFF
    – click Save All Information button (if a message box appears, just click No to proceed)
    PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

    Besides the instructions from that thread, you could try the following:
    -clear spacedesk cache/data in your phone app settings
    -Reinstall or update your spacedesk app to v0.91.10
    -click ‘Clear spacedesk Settings’ and ‘Clear Windows Display Settings’ in spacedesk Console
    -Restart Android device

    Spacedesk has been working well for me until about a week ago it just show up as a black screen. There has been recent updates with NVIDIA driver and I don’t know if it has anything to do with this.

    I’ve run into this issue before https://forum.spacedesk.net/forums/topic/help-black-screen-not-working-2/ but this time disabling the In-game Overlay didn’t help. I’ve attached the debug log and the diagnostics info to this post.

    Are you using Extend mode? Could you please try hovering your mouse or a window far beyond your primary screen and check if it will be visible in your secondary screen?
    Could you also check the status of spacedeskService.exe in the Task Manager under ‘Processes’ or ‘Details’ while the issue is happening?

    In the meantime, there are a few things you could try:
    – Please make sure that your Graphics Adapter driver is up to date. If it’s not, please try to update it to the latest version.
    – Could you please try the ‘Clear spacedesk settings’ and ‘Clear Windows Display Settings’ buttons in the spacedesk Driver console?
    – Please note that we recently released new versions for the Windows 10 viewer and Android viewer. Also, make sure to update your spacedesk Driver to v1075.

    Could you please check for any incompatible software, just run the spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics -> Incompatible Software Products.
    if there is, please try to disable or uninstall it, restart your machine then try again with spacedesk.

    I’ve been using spacedesk for awhile now and for some reason if just don’t want to show display this has happened once before but I fixed it by updating my Nvidia drivers but unfortunately I don’t have an update this time and dont know how to fix it also it pc really lags when i activate it which doesn’t usually happen.

    Hello! I recently updated both my driver and viewer versions of spacedesk and the sonarpen crashing issue was resolved, but pen pressure is not working correctly. When I put my stylus down with no pressure at all it’s at full size and opacity, but when I put pressure on it, suddenly it becomes very small as if I was putting very little pressure. I have tried this on multiple apps and it’s the same on all of them. I have verified it isn’t my stylus already.

    Could you please check the following:
    – open the Windows Display Settings on your primary machine and check if the spacedesk display is detached/grayed out, and if it’s detached just attach it by selecting extend or duplicate
    – check for any incompatible software, just run the spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics -> Incompatible Software Products

    also, we just released a new spacedesk Driver V1075 (which can be downloaded on our website: https://www.spacedesk.net/ ) and Android Viewer on the playstore. Please make sure to update to their latest version.

    hello, i have same issues here, i disabled my shadowplay but know, everytime i open spacedesk android app, it becomes black screen automaticlly even when im not connecting it with USB, can you help me?

    Hi Christian,

    News from Spacedesk Viewer.
    It was not possible to install or to repair the Viewer with the Microsoft Store Version.
    It is only possible to open the software.
    Then im using the Version on the spacedesk.net Site to install, repair and remove the Viewer.
    It does only works one time (look above) but now i can remove the software (Viewer).
    Just now i install the Software from the Mircosoft Store and now it works.
    I can close the program an start again. Great!!!

    Same Problem by me.
    I am using Spacedesk Viewer for 4 month. Now, after running the software (Client) the application window appears for a second and closes.
    System: Windows 10
    Version: Spacedesk Windows Viewer v0942 Beta

    Repair does not work.
    I remove the Software und install it again.
    Now it Works. Connection over Network works fine.
    After closing the Spacedesk client, the same Problem again. I have to remove the Software and install it again. Now it works.
    After closing the Spacedesk Viewer, same Problem again.

    iOS USB cable support will be available very soon (expected late 2023)

    In the meantime, Please check if your iOS device supports USB Tethering.
    if yes, you can try connecting via iOS USB tethering.

    I just tried now to connect via HTLM, yesterday it worked and now this is what i get in Chrome:

    This site can’t provide a secure connectionviewer.spacedesk.net uses an unsupported protocol.
    ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

    Maybe this could help the investigation.
    So, for now even the HTML is not working, looks like something is going on with my windows.

    While there are numerous potential causes for BSOD, we can minimize the risk by downloading the spacedesk driver from our website and ensuring that you are using the latest spacedesk driver version. It is also recommended to update your graphics adapter to their latest version before using spacedesk.

    On the Website it says ”Update NVIDIA graphics driver to version 461.09 (release date: 2021.1.7) before using it with spacedesk!
    Older NVIDIA graphics drivers can crash Windows 10 PCs with BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).”

    Do I need to Downgrade my Driver to 2021.1.7 or can I stay at my newest from September 2023?

    – I think yes. the auto-connect was enabled, but i was uninstalling the app and installing again from Microsoft Store.
    – No, i am shutting down each time the PC and booting it from zero, so it does do reboot.
    – I even installed the server version just to check, and yes, server is working, only client version when starting just showing for a second the window and then it just disappears, no running process in Task lists.
    So weird, just one day it began, wit worked like for a year.
    May be some C++ redistributable needed i don’t know, even there was no Windows updates lately
    I even cleared everything(that has words spacedesk) in Registry after uninstall.
    Maybe there are some logs which are written ?

    Thank you for your willingness to help me solve my problem.
    I would exclude Windows Firewall and Antivirus, Spacedesk is added to the exceptions. I have the router from the network operator, and I cannot change any settings.
    I checked the HTML5 Viewer connection, and unfortunately it doesn’t work. But as in the case of Spacedesk Driver Console, HTML5 connects via the cellular network (mobile data).
    I don’t know what other changes may have occurred on my network, maybe the operator changed some settings.

    Hello, I am using Spacedesk Viewer for a long time, and this morning after running the software the application window appears for a second and closes. I am running on windows 10 Home 22H2. Was uninstalling the software and installing again from the Microsoft store and same effect. Version: 0.0.28.0
    Any help ?

    Thank you very much for previously sending in all your logs. We can see that spacedesk native USB connection is failing indeed with an unspecified error. It is very strange to see USB Tethering work while our native USB connection does not work. Does this happen on both of your Android devices? On your Redmi Note 8 Pro and your Prestigio MultiPad. Could you maybe also try a different cable? We never had any report of such a problem. If anyone else experiences a similar problem, please also reply to this thread.
