    Thanks for sending the diagnostic logs.
    Could you please try to clear the data of your viewer app on both tablets.
    To do that just long press the viewer app -> settings/info -> storage -> clear data.
    Or Settings -> Apps -> spacedesk -> Storage -> Clear data.

    We will analyze this new diagnostic logs.
    With this new logs, you only have 1 spacedesk viewer connected with display off, right?

    In the meantime, could you please try the steps below:
    – On videowall engine window, please click the “Connected to DESKTOP-CJD43MR” on tree view, then on left panel, click the “Clear Settings”.
    – the click the spacedesk server window -> Settings -> Clear All Display Settings
    – run services.msc, find spacedeskService the restart it
    After steps above, please try again with spacedesk.

    I use Spacedesk at home on two Windows 10 laptops through a 5 GHz Wifi. My router sometimes goes crazy and reboots itself. When this happens, the viewer doesn’t notice that the wifi connection has dropped and still thinks that the connection is alive. However there are no updates on the screen of course. Server notices the wifi has dropped and removes the secondary monitor.

    Viewer should notice the wifi has dropped and go into “Server disconnected – trying to reconnect” mode.

    System info:
    Viewer: Universal Windows app v0.0.23.0, Windows 10, 5 GHz Wifi
    Server: Driver Beta v 1.0.17, Windows 10, 5 GHz Wifi

    for information : when i connect a device i always heard the sound of the connection in windows and it’s always connected -display off.
    After reboot i can connect 1 (or 2 or 3 or sometimes the 4) but when 1 device is display off (generally less than 1 minut) all the devices turns off in display off .

    we still have known synchronization problem with videowall frames.
    Could you please send us the following info:
    Primary Machine
    – operating system (Windows 8.1/10)?
    – graphics adapter (AMD/Intel/Nvidia)
    – network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)

    Secondary Machine
    – Viewer type (Android/iOS/Windows/HTML5)
    – network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)

    and after 2 minuts all of them were “Connected -Display off”. All tablets are in version 0.9.81 and primary machine 1.0.18

    Hi Lea, yes Auto rotate is enabled on both but it only seems to work in landscape mode with my tablet controls on the left side rather than the right. If I invert the tablet 180 degrees it will correctly flip the tablet but it also flips my PC monitor upside down. If I disable Auto rotate on the Space desk app it doesn’t flip the PC monitor but it then doesn’t correctly flip the tablet either.

    What does work is to turn off the Auto rotate in the tablet settings but then I need to re-enable it when done with Space desk. Again no big deal but just another couple of steps to go through.

    I also had tried this with client program win7 version

    Tired this thing again just in case..

    but it couldn’t find the server, but win10 version did

    By the way, do you have third party firewall software installed (e.g. McAfee)?

    spacedesk Driver/Server does not support Windows 7 any more (Windows 7 life cycle has expired). At your own risk spacedesk Windows 8.1 driver can still be installed on Windows 7.

    For viewer, you can still install the recent spacedesk Windows 7 Viewer app v0.9.32 available on our website too.

    The traces you posted does not show any spacedesk traces.
    Could you please download the spacedesk diagnostic script here, then extract it.

    Inside you will find spacedeskDiagnosticTool.cmd, just right-click it then run as administrator.
    This script will start a debug view app to capture spacedesk debug traces.
    On step 5 it will prompt you to reproduce the issue (by connecting the viewer app and wait for the issue to happen), make sure to do this before pressing any key to continue.
    After the script is done, a folder will be created on the same folder as the script file which contains various log files that we need for analysis.
    Please right-click it -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.

    Hello, so I’m using a windows 7 pc at work and as much as I’d love to upgrade it to windows 10, it’s a work pc so my company doesn’t let me. Would it be possible for me to find old versions of the viewer and server apps? Normally I’d be concerned about security but the computers I’d be using don’t connect to the internet so it should work good enough.

    Hello.
    So the thing I noticed is that spacedesk communication while the screen is idle is only 1-2 mbps. But when watching fullscreen video it goes up to 30 mbps with my current settings. Usually my cursor movement with static image (desktop) is not very smooth but stable. Feels like 20-ish fps. But if I do the following I have good 60-ish fps mouse movement for a second:
    1. Play a video so my bandwidth goes 30mbps. (If I move the cursor while video is playing it’s the same 20-ish fps).
    2. Pause the video while moving cursor. (The cursor movement will be 60-ish fps while the bandwidth is high. But returns to 20-ish fps the next second).
    Thus I think constant bitrate will improve stream stability. And so I ask spacedesk team to test and/or implement that feature.

    I’m a teacher,I use computer to show powerpoint when I teach online , and I want to use Ipad as the second service.In this way,I can use apple pencil to write things on powerpoint on ipad,which will be much easier by mouse on laptop.

    But every time I wrote on ipad ,my computer frozed at once (the screen is still on,I can still move mouse,but any clicking doesnt work at all ), I tried to press windows+alt+delete,it doesnt work neither. everything is frozen on laptop…TThe only way I can recover my laptop is to long press on battery button to shut down my laptop,it happens everytime I wrote on laptop.

    can you help me to solve this problem?I really like your software and it would help online teaching alot if can be solved!

    A I attach photos with the 2 devices with different versions of Andorid
    The PC does not see any monitors added
    No restrictions from the Kaspersky Internet Security firewall, the Windows firewall is completely disabled
    Indeed I add that I uninstalled the app from the android 4.4.4 tablet and started it still closes abnormally, like days ago
    But even on Redmi Note 8T android 10 I don’t see anything like the photos.
    why these problems that I have done for months and months without any kind of problem?

    Not the same person, but also having issues with “unable to connect”.
    Main things I tried were:
    – reinstall wine 6.16
    – tried 6.3 and 6.5
    – tried playonlinux

    All of them lead to the same message when trying to connect with “unable to connect” showing up.
    There are some interesting things that I noticed while doing this:
    – Host server isn’t showing up unless I enter the IP address for the device, whereas the HTML client and all other clients automatically detects the device.
    – The installer finishes a little too fast compared to installing on a standard windows device.
    – When attempting to connect or find a device, from wine logs, there is only one command that is run, wlanenuminterfaces.

    Also as an additional question, are there any output logs for both the installer and client when an error occurs? I’d like to cross reference them with other installation attempts to see what’s wrong.

    Hi @k0lk,

    2 possible reason for slow performance on your side:
    1. HTML5 Viewer
    If you laptop runs Linux, that means you are using spacedesk HTML5 Viewer, correct?
    Keep in mind that this HTML5 VIEWER app on Linux is much slower than our native apps on Android and Windows.
    This is due to technical limitation of HTML5/Javascript.

    2. Network connection
    Especially if your machines are connected over wireless network that goes thru the router.
    Please check the chapter “Performance Tuning” in the instruction manual: https://spacedesk.net/user-manual

    Could you please send us the following:
    1. debugview log on your secondary machine where you run the viewer app.
    Just download the debugview app here https://download.sysinternals.com/files/DebugView.zip
    Extract the zipped file, run the Dbgview.exe then reproduce the issue on the viewer app and you should find some error traces in debugview (e.g. SA [xxxx:xxx] …), please save it and send to us.

    2. run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save All Information”, then save the output file (dxdiag.txt) and send to us.

    My primary machine is an Acer Aspire PC, running on Windows 10. I have the driver installed, and have restarted my computer as well as uninstalling and re-installing the app. I’ve tried asking my computer to repair the app. I’ve also manually approved the app with my firewall. The app has been showing “ON (idle)”, but I’ve tried many times turning it off and back on, and that hasn’t changed anything. I’ve tried messing with my primary device display settings. I’ve tried playing with the Videowall Engine.
    My secondary machine is a Kindle Fire HD10 (under a year old), and I have the app downloaded from the Amazon App Store. It says “cannot detect a primary machine.” I have tried restarting the device and the app, have tried uninstalling and re-installing it. I’ve tried many times adding the primary device manually with my IP address, but it just circles and says it’s working on it forever.
    Both machines are on the same wifi, and I’ve tried moving them both to a second wifi, with no luck. I’ve tried changing both wifi networks to private. I’ve also tried using my Android Galaxy smartphone as the secondary device, but it has the exact same issues, which makes me think the problem is with my primary device.
    Can you help me? I would so love to get this working.

    When i slide chrome to the second monitor, plaing a video, my fps drops in games and the desk strart stutering, if i let chrome in my firs monitor, that dosent happend, the game dosent drop the fps, my firs monitor is 1920×1080, and my secon (leptop) 1366×768, my fist monitor has a refresh rate of 60hz and the second 30. My laptop runs linux, my pc runs windows.

    Hi @jake,
    You can use spacedesk with your current Nvidia driver version or update to most recent version 472.12.
    The BSOD only occurs on version below 461.09.

    So i wanted to install SpaceDesk and i saw the “Attention” part of the download area and it told me that my nvidea drivers had to be version 461.09, So i checked what version i was running and it told me i was running 462. intead of 461.09. my question is will my computer crash and give me then BSOD if i download and run it??

    @lea here and Settings-> Graphics-> Advanced- but I didn’t find the “10-bit pixel” when it is working yes, but sometimes when I restart the computer amd radeon software is simply not installed on the computer anymore, and when the i installed again desk stop working

    What do you mean empty screen? Is it black screen? Or it’s just in extension mode?

    On your Radeon Software window, please go to Settings->Graphics->Advanced->”10-Bit Pixel Format”.
    As for the server OFF status, could you easily turn it ON via Settings -> ON menu?

    Hi @rezios,
    Could you please check if 10-bit color format is enabled on your AMD Radeon Software settings? If yes please disable it and reboot your primary machine.

    Maybe the drive conflict has something to do with some 3D related settings on Radeon Software window too? We cannot specify yet which settings it is, can you maybe check if there’s any in-game overlay or screen recording settings enabled there?

    when i press the ip address of the server, the app crashes. it didnt use to be like this. the app worked for a while. i have tried everything even a factory reset and the app still crashes.im using a huawei mediatab 10 link and it has android 4. it works on my other phones

    I used Chrome at that time, and I got another problem..

    I just clicked the list to connect to primary machine

    and it gave me a message connecting to 192.xxx.xxx.x with black screen

    but it went back to main screen

    so I just tried to connect to it manually typing the IP address, it gave me an error message

    ‘Invalid address: Local host!’

    actually I can’t understand why this got happened..

    my laptop tried to connect to server which is located in PC not laptop..

    Hi @multi-cat,
    Please try the most recent spacedesk Driver v1.0.17 and Android Viewer app from Playstore.
    This issue should be fixed now.

    It is also now supports entering a full word, not just single key input.

    Multi-touch gesture like pinch to zoom is now supported with the latest spacedesk Driver v1017 and Android Viewer v0.9.79.

    Same problem.
    Server Windows 10 21H1, spacedesk driver v 1.0.17
    Client android 4.4.2, spacedesk android app v 0.9.79

    The android application gives a fatal error when trying to connect to the server. Other devices with more modern android have no problems.
    I have tested with the HTML5 viewer and it works fine, although the performance is worse. The problem occurs only with the app.

    Primary Machine
    – operating system = Win10 64bit
    – graphics adapter = Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
    – network connection type = Wifi (hotspot)

    Secondary Machine
    – Viewer type = window
    – network connection type = Wifi, I connected to hotspot of primary machine

    Which web browser did you use? I didn’t use web browser to connect to the primary machine..

    Could you please send us the following info:
    Primary Machine
    – operating system (Windows 8.1/10)?
    – graphics adapter (AMD/Intel/Nvidia)
    – network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)

    Secondary Machine
    – Viewer type (Android/iOS/Windows/HTML5) and version
    – network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)

    Which web browser did you use? Did you also try with other web browser?

    I can only change the resolution of the viewer app’s By the screen settings on pc there i have only the choise between 1024*600 or 2000*1200.
    When i do settings->custom resolution on the the viewer app’s the settings have no influence.
    So i can only change the screen resolutiion by pc not by viewer app’s settings

    Also starting happening to me today (03/10/21)…

    Two different tablets on same version of Android 4.1.1

    Other tablets (More modern OS vers. Work fine…..

    Hello,

    Just want to report the exact same problem as yyisss with the client software (v0.9.78)
    I have just updated the server to v1.0.17, but the problem persist.
