    Thank you very much for sending a video clip of the issue.
    Are you clicking the Flight Simulator buttons from your primary monitor using the mouse pointer of your primary machine?

    Next, could you please send us the following:
    1. screenshot of the Windows display settings with spacedesk display connected
    2. diagnostic logs while offset issue is happening
    To generate the logs, please follow the steps below:
    – open the spacedesk Driver Console window by clicking the spacedesk tray icon on your task bar’s notification area
    – click the Diagnostics on the left side panel
    – if Debug View is not available, please click the download button first
    – switch Diagnostic Collection ON (make sure to click Yes in the User Account Control box to proceed)
    – try to connect your viewer app and reproduce the mouse pointer offset issue
    – switch Diagnostic Collection OFF
    – click Save All Information button
    PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

    Hi @tomf,

    Thanks for sending the screenshot.
    I noticed that there’s a “3D Display mode” option in the display settings and currently OFF in spacedesk display.
    Is this enabled on your other displays (1+2) ?
    If yes, can your try to enable it on spacedesk display (3) too?
    Then check if duplicate option will show up with this settings ON?

    Thanks for sending the diagnostic logs.
    Could you please try the following:
    1. On primary machine, open spacedesk Driver Console -> Control -> click Clear Windows Display Settings -> then reboot
    2. On spacedesk Android Viewer app in your Samsung tablet, open Settings:
    – Quality/Performance -> Custom FPS rate -> 60 FPS
    – Resolution -> check “Use custom resolution” -> Choose Custom Resolution -> 1920×1080

    Hi @guenterz,
    Based on your spacedeskDiag info, your Intel Graphics Adapter remains WDDM 1.3 version even after updating to latest version.
    Desktop duplication remains disabled/unsupported in your Windows primary PC.

    It seems that this Intel graphics adapter is already an old graphics driver (last driver version released on 2020) and cannot be updated any further.

    In this case, we cannot do anything about it unless you upgrade your graphics card to a newer model.

    Hi Lea,
    following your proposal I’ve updated the Intel graphics adapter, but spacedesk still didn’t work as it should (and as it works with another PC and the same tablet). Attached please find the actual diagnostic zip file.
    Another observation, however, may help to identify the source of the problem.
    Pressing Win+P during active connection, indeed shows that the “extension” mode is active (as you assumed in an earlier post). Switching to the “Duplicate” mode, however, results in a black second screen, as if I had selected the first mode “PC screen only”. The other 2 modes (“extension” and “second screen only”) work as expected.
    What might be the reason that the option “Duplicate” doesn’t work? Is any setting of the Windows system wrong?

    Hi @dimaveng,
    please do not respond to old discussion.
    These old Radeon issues from 2021 probably do not apply any more nowadys in 2023.
    In the future please rather create a new discussion instead.
    BTW: Yes – spacedesk does support AMD graphics adapter.

    1. Updated to latest Game Ready driver for Nvidia RTX 3080 (could only install one of them, “Game Ready” or “Studio” driver, not both).

    2. Only main monitor is HDR capable. Turning HDR to ON fixes the problem, but the main monitor becomes unusable — color calibration doesn’t work in HDR mode.

    Please note, turning off “Flipped Display” also fixes the problem when HDR is OFF. Something is inefficient and backward about the flip code, e.g. a pixel of 0x10101111 is flipped to 0x11110101 when it should remain the same while the pixel position is flipped with respect to the screen.

    I tried all. And read forum reply’s concerning mirror and stretching.
    I’m on as of now latest w10, spacedesk, iOS, and Nvidia drivers. I switched off incompatible software. I did choose both native and non *resolutions in the app. Connected my primary screen through hdmi and dp. No succes. Both resolutions match up 1920×1080. But the iPad screen gets strechted to full screen. When it was working, half a year ago, the iPad screen on that resolution (1920×1080) was not stretched but had these black bars. Then mirrored screen worked. Now I can only extend. Cleared the windows display settings.
    Any help needed.

    Response to Post 2 above:
    What exactly makes you think that Windows would update the spacedesk Driver? We never heard any such idea nor such a thing happening before. What makes this even more questionable is the alledged driver date of 2010. spacedesk did not even exist in 2010 (first spacedesk version was released in 2014).

    I believe Windows keeps updating the driver Space Desk is installing because it’s from 2010. Again, this is just trouble, I wish I never installed this to my PC or Android phone.

    Driver date: 10.07.2015
    Driver Model: WDDM 1.3

    Desktop duplication of primary monitor to other displays is not supported/ disabled in Windows display settings of Windows 10 with old version of graphics adapter (with less than WDDM 2.0).
    Please try to download the latest driver version from its official website https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html.

    However, several diagnostic log files are missing.
    Please follow the steps above on how to get the diagnostic logs via spacedesk Driver Console.
    spacedesk Driver Console app generates a diagnostic folder name like “2023-01-18-XXXXX-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics” (which contains all necessary diagnostic log files), then this is the folder that you should compress (zipped).

    I have one player thathas been getting stuck and then jumps into the Connected – Display OFF black screen, When pinging the player it is losing about 25% on average of the packets. Had a monitors anywhere support guy, remote in and was told to just monitor spacedesk….
    Today, All 10 players have gotten stuck in that connected- Display OFF screen about 3 times.
    Spacedesk is up to date, Driver up to date, Agent up to date. Have attached a Diagnostic file

    (Sorry for bad English I’m from Turkey btw) I tried teamviewer, spacedesk and xdisplay programs on my laptop. While using SpaceDesk, my phone screen just comes on for 2 seconds and then it says “connected display off”. At the other programs it’s the same thing: I can see my laptop screen on my phone for only 2 seconds after that it disconnects. But on my old laptop with Windows 8.1 (My new laptop runs Windows 11) it connects in a few seconds automaticaly, I tried it with some kind of goofy aah phone and it’s the same! It connect to my old laptop in a few seconds but on my new laptop it comes on for 2 seconds then it says CONNECTED DISPLAY OFF how can i fix that ?

    Hello again @spacedesk Lea,
    Thank you for the Reply.

    Ok reproducing the Error should be straightforward:

    1: Start high Demanding Games Like Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen.
    2: Set the Game on the Mainmonitor to 1080p Borderless Window.
    3: Setup a Video on the Tablet in Fullscreen mode in 1080p60Fps on Youtube or Twitch.
    4: Play the Game and just disconnect from the Tablet during you are Playing and the Video running via normal Exit from Tablet or just deactivate WIFI.
    5: Windows 11 Zooms out and in and then the Screen Freezes. Any Attempt to use the Keyboard or Mouse result in Rapidly Morsecodes. Game Audio runs normal, but i think the Graphic Card don’t liked xD. (Nvidia 1060 6GB, i7-7700 with 24 GB RAM on Windows 11 are my Specs.).

    Please try the following workaround:

    1. Update both of your NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3080 graphic’s Game Ready Driver and Studio Driver from their official website, just input the details of your driver in the dropbox. (Geforce RTX 30 series, Windows 10 64bit)
    Link: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
    note: if one of the drivers is not available, you can proceed to download what’s available from the choices

    2. Try to enable your HDR in windows settings. you can access this by going to windows settings > Display > Windows HD Color > enable ‘Stream HDR video’

    Then Please tell us the result in your next reply.

    Hi @spacedesk lea, thank you for you Reply… i just added 2 logs which was remainining after i Panicuninstalled Spacedesk xD ^^ i just came home from Work, i submit these Logs and go back to Couch/Sofa, i hope these are helping lol XD

    Hi @its2k,

    spacedesk Windows 10 Viewer (from Microsoft Store) doesn’t have the Speaker/Audio option (yet).
    So far Speaker/Audio is only available in Android and Windows 7 Viewer (Desktop version) as experimental feature.

    Same issue here.
    Android tablet black and white, using App (Samsung TAB A7 505) and Dell 2 in 1 5480, fully updated.
    HTML5 version working fine, full color even at this same tablet, with Chrome. But its slower than app, so not a good workaround.

    I´m using Windows 10, updated to last server version 1.0.50 after this bug, reinstalled everything on Dell notebook and Samsung tablet. Cleared settings. Restarted everything. Still Black and White.

    Hello i just made this Account because my PC freezes when i play Games like Elite Dangerous WHEN i am Disconnecting my Tablet during the Gamingsession.

    The Entire PC just freezes and makes morsecode too.

    I was connected via Wlan because my Samsung galaxy Tab s2 don’t can Tethering.

    It works extremly smooth to watch Youtube/Twitch during make Rescue Flights. I paniced and unistalled the Software xD.

    Are they News about this Issue?

    I don’t know for sure, but I would expect your setup to work OK.

    I have a desktop with 2 monitors using the HDMI and VGA ports, and have successfully had my chromebook work as a 3rd monitor through wifi. The chromebook appears on the Windows > System > Display as monitor 3, and extends the display.

    I even had a tablet working as a 4th display at the same time!

    My only issue was that I found that the chromebook and tablet were a bit laggy.

    I would like to use my laptop as a 3rd monitor. I already have my primary computer (a laptop) set up to monitors 1 and 2 with HDMI to one and VGA to another. I have another laptop to use as a 3rd monitor. I have seen how to download the software and set it up….will this 3rd monitor setup mess up my setups with the other 2 monitors since monitor 3 will be the only one using your software?

    This black and white screen is spacedesk Server issue.
    The spacedesk server on primary machine is the one sending the black and white desktop image to the viewer app on secondary machine.
    The spacedesk Viewer app is only rendering the desktop image being sent by the spacedesk Server.

    Please send the diagnostic logs of the primary machine machine so that we can analyze why the server is sending a black and white screen to the viewer app.

    Based on the logs, the spacedesk display is detached.
    You can easily attach it via Windows Display Settings, just click the detached then select “Extend/Duplicate” underneath “Multiple displays” drop down menu.

    Update needed for your spacedesk Driver/Server on Windows 11:
    Install spacedesk Driver/Server version: Beta RC v1.0.50 (from spacedesk website)

    Please also make sure that the Viewer/Client is up to date as well.
    For your spacedesk Viewer on Windows 10 you have three alternative options:
    – Install spacedesk Viewer for Windows 7 Beta III v0.9.39 (from spacedesk website)
    – Install spacedesk Viewer for Windows 10 Beta v0.0.23. (from Microsoft Store – or follow link on spacedesk website)
    – Use spacedesk HTML Viewer v0.9.10(follow link on spacedesk website)

    You can set a static IP for your android phone/tablet but your spacedesk drivercan not shown on android device spacedesk viewer. And the phone Ip will be 192.168.42.x for phone/tablet but it will not be a problem to connect to pc spacedesk driver.

    Hi!
    I want to connect a Windows laptop to a chromebook with the chromebook as the secondary machine. I plan to make a USB A male to USB A male cable using the A ends of 2 A-B cables. I’ve successfully used wifi to connect, and it works, but is a bit laggy.

    Am I right in thinking that I should NOT connect the red wire, otherwise the two machines will each be trying to power the connection, and one may damage the other? Or do I connect all 4 of the wires?

    I updated my windows on my secondary pc to make it work, in windows 10 it won’t let me set the resolution of my screen which is 900×1600 and I also have windows 7 installed that stays in black and white. I need help

    Image of the laptop screen that I use as a second monitor, black and white.

    On December 31, 2022, everything was normal, and on January 1, 2023, it became black and white.
