    zoom in/out feature will be available soon on Android viewer app.

    If the desktop objects appear to be smaller on the Android viewer app,
    you may set a smaller resolution in the viewer app.
    Just go to Menu -> Settings -> Resolution, check ‘Use custom resolution’ and choose a resolution that fits the aspect ratio of your device. Upon connect, select the new resolution on the Windows Display settings.

    Your Phone/Main monitor:
    Resolution: 1600×720, Aspect Ratio: 2.22: 1
    What you want:
    Resolution: 800×600, Aspect Ratio: 4:3

    You can’t stretch the game to fit your whole screen without getting those black bars because these two resolutions have different Aspect ratios.
    If you want the game to cover your entire screen on your main monitor, you’ll need to adjust the game’s resolution to match your phone/main display’s aspect ratio, which is 2.22:1. So, instead of 800×600, we suggest picking a lower resolution with a 22.2:1 aspect ratio to make it fit better (e.g 800×360)

    note: make sure to set spacedesk viewer resolution to your phone’s native resolution too.
    since you are only using mirroring mode, just go to spacedesk viewer settings > Resolution > uncheck the ‘Use custom resolution’

    Hey, im using a mobile phone as a monitor since my monitor broke and i wanted to still play my games, i have a MOTO G9 Play (Resolution : 1600×720) as a mobile phone and i play valorant and roblox, and im using mirror/duplication in this case im using mirror, and Roblox/Valorant support most of the resolutions so in only need the method.

    In case of Desktop duplication (mirroring main screen):
    Your main screen resolution and spacedesk Viewer resolution need to have same aspect ratio (e.g. 4:3). Example for 4:3 aspect ratio: Main display screen 1920×1440 and viewer display screen 800×600. You can change resolution of spacedesk Viewer in spacedesk Viewer app menu. Still the game might cause black regions on each side or top and bottom if it does not support this specific resolution.

    In case of Desktop extension:
    You just need to select a resolution which is supported by the game. Change resolution of spacedesk Viewer in spacedesk Viewer app menu.

    Are you using Desktop duplication (mirror) mode or Desktop extension mode? In case of mirror/duplication Which resolution do you have on your main monitor? Which game are you playing? Which resolutions does this game support? Does this game adjust resolution automatically?

    Which viewer are you using?
    Zooming is possible in both spacedesk Windows 7 viewer and the spacedesk UWP viewer for Windows 10.
    In Windows 7, you can zoom in/out using your mouse’s scroll wheel.
    In the Windows 10 viewer, make sure to enable the ‘Scale’ option in the settings > display. Once enabled, you can zoom in and out on the spacedesk screen with your mouse’s scroll wheel.

    -Have you tried moving a window from monitor 1 to monitor 2? How did it go?
    -What’s the current resolution for your Monitor 1 and Monitor 2?
    -Is your spacedesk Android viewer app and spacedesk Windows Driver updated to the latest version? if not, please try to update them.

    It is possible that you have a wrong arrangement of your Displays in the settings.
    Could you please check and follow these steps below?
    – Go to Settings > System > Display
    – Check which number are your monitors by clicking ‘Identity’
    – Drag and drop your Android monitor (could be display 2) to the right side of your display 1
    – Under the Multiple displays section -> click on the drop-down list -> make sure the ‘Extend these displays’ option is selected.
    – Click Apply

    I use a Android Handy as 2nd Monitor, but can’t See my Mouse on Android device when i move Mouse to it. I enabled Screen Extension in Windows settings in my Main PC (Server).

    I’m using my Android tablet (Tab S7+) as a second touchscreen monitor by USB via a 25ft active USB extender to a USB-C cable to connect the PC to the tablet. The issue happens when I start sending touch inputs to the host computer: it disconnects after ~15 seconds. If I don’t, the connection stays flawless. Please also note that my tablet starts charging when I connect the cable, which might “steal” the active USB extender’s power and causing it to cut off the connection. Needless to say, I would rather not root my device to disable charging just to test that theory.
    I’ve attached a diagram of my setup.
    All cables are USB 3.0 but they were the cheapest on Amazon (they were still relatively expensive).

    Spacedesk has been working well for me until about a week ago it just show up as a black screen. There has been recent updates with NVIDIA driver and I don’t know if it has anything to do with this.

    I’ve run into this issue before https://forum.spacedesk.net/forums/topic/help-black-screen-not-working-2/ but this time disabling the In-game Overlay didn’t help. I’ve attached the debug log and the diagnostics info to this post.

    I have checked the incompatible software product section and I don’t have any installed

    edit: also when I had this problem the 2nd time i just did windows control shift b which did work but I’m having this problem for a 3rd time now and windows control shift b doesn’t want to work

    Hello! I recently updated both my driver and viewer versions of spacedesk and the sonarpen crashing issue was resolved, but pen pressure is not working correctly. When I put my stylus down with no pressure at all it’s at full size and opacity, but when I put pressure on it, suddenly it becomes very small as if I was putting very little pressure. I have tried this on multiple apps and it’s the same on all of them. I have verified it isn’t my stylus already.
    I’m using windows 11 home version 22h2

    Same Problem by me.
    I am using Spacedesk Viewer for 4 month. Now, after running the software (Client) the application window appears for a second and closes.
    System: Windows 10
    Version: Spacedesk Windows Viewer v0942 Beta

    Repair does not work.
    I remove the Software und install it again.
    Now it Works. Connection over Network works fine.
    After closing the Spacedesk client, the same Problem again. I have to remove the Software and install it again. Now it works.
    After closing the Spacedesk Viewer, same Problem again.

    Hi @march,

    You do not need to downgrade your driver to version 2021.1.7. It is recommended to always keep your graphics driver updated to the latest version. The warning about older NVIDIA graphics drivers causing BSOD specifically refers to versions older than 461.09 (release date: 2021.1.7). Since you have the newest driver from September 2023, you can continue using it without the need for a downgrade.

    spacedesk should work regardless of your network band, were there any errors you encountered when you tried to connect with spacedesk?
    Could you please try the suggestions underneath “Troubleshooting -> Network Connection” chapter in the instruction manual https://manual.spacedesk.net/NetworkConnection.html

    In case the above suggestions don’t work, could you please check if your iPad supports USB Tethering?

    On the Website it says ”Update NVIDIA graphics driver to version 461.09 (release date: 2021.1.7) before using it with spacedesk!
    Older NVIDIA graphics drivers can crash Windows 10 PCs with BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).”

    Do I need to Downgrade my Driver to 2021.1.7 or can I stay at my newest from September 2023?

    Hello, I am using Spacedesk Viewer for a long time, and this morning after running the software the application window appears for a second and closes. I am running on windows 10 Home 22H2. Was uninstalling the software and installing again from the Microsoft store and same effect. Version: 0.0.28.0
    Any help ?

    Spacedesk version 1067 worked without any problems as I remember until Monday (11/09/23), the next day I couldn’t connect. I noticed there was a new version and installed it, but it didn’t change anything.
    In the case of a USB connection, I followed all the steps in the manual.
    Today I managed to connect via USB with (USB Tethering) enabled.
    The connection via the cellular network was wireless (mobile data), with WIFI turned off.

    note: you have to hit the enter key per textbox (Width/Height) for the measurement to apply

    Could you also check again with the -1 disconnect delay? you need to hit the enter as well for this setting to apply

    FYI: We just released a new spacedesk UWP viewer on the MS Store. please update your viewer and use it to test the above suggestions.

    Re #1, I am using the default resolution (no custom) for surface pro 8 (2880×1920). I tried your suggestion but it didn’t seem to work. My viewer and server are both the latest version updated today. See attached screenshot of both monitor.

    Regarding the disconnect, I forgot to add more details because my post kept getting rejected. It seems to be working fairly consistently now. I’d say 1 out of every 10 tries I will re-maximize the UWP viewer and it will open for a split second then the app will close entirely. I cannot seem to pinpoint exactly when this happens but I will report back if it starts happening more frequently. I also just updated the viewer so maybe this issue will be fixed now.

    what resolution are you using?
    could you please try assigning your viewer to a videowall, then go to ‘Videowall Client Settings’ > Click ‘Float wall preview’ > check the resolution indicated in the floating wall window > use that resolution instead of your Viewer monitor’s resolution.

    Could you perhaps check the following as well?
    -Make sure that your UWP is updated to the latest version. We recently released a new version in the MS Store.
    -Also, your spacedesk Driver to v1.0.73
    BTW: Just to be clear, does your UWP viewer fail to reconnect when put to maximize?

    Re #2 – Thank you for providing information about this software, we will conduct an investigation about this problem.
    On the other hand, spacedesk Videowall is already disabled by default upon installation.

    Re #1 Indeed please see attached screenshot to give you some perspective. The connection boxes are simply too small for my fat fingers :D.
    Re #2: This is a bit of a unique situation and somewhat nuanced. I am using an ethernet crossover connection between my PC’s for spacedesk. I need to manually switch my thunderbolt dock depending on which PC I want to use as my primary. However, when I switch PC’s and am only using one PC then my crossover cable is essentially looped back into itself. This is the only way to make it easy to switch between PC’s with just one thunderbolt cable. This however causes my spacedesk viewer app to freeze up and I cannot click the disconnect button in the viewer. The only way to get around this is either I have to force close the app or wait a couple minutes for it to finally time out. Let me know if this is clear

    Hello,

    Your software has been a great boost in my productivity and made my surface pro as a 2nd monitor so much more valuable. There are a couple of improvements I wanted to suggest to the Windows UWP viewer app:

    1. For the main screen, can you please increase the size of the UI elements or scale them based on how many connections are available? I have one server PC but there are two options to connect (ethernet or WiFi). I use a Surface Pro with touch screen and I frequently accidentally tap the wifi connection instead of ethernet because the button is so small. Only about 25% of the space in the GUI is being used and it would be a huge help to scale these elements so that the buttons are larger.

    2. Startup auto connect does not allow for interrupts. I would like to have spacedesk auto connect via ethernet, however, when I am not connected to ethernet, it takes forever to exit spacedesk viewer because it’s constantly trying to reconnect. I have to wait for things to timeout or force close the app to cancel this. Please allow me to cancel the auto connection.

    First of all: spacedesk is designed for use in the LAN (Local Area Network) only. Remote use is not supported. No plans for the future either….

    However, you are exploring interesting limits here…
    Thus we can take this a little bit further…

    You might want to try two more different approaches:
    1. Either try to connect with spacedesk HTML5 viewer
    2. Or try disabling spacedesk Server Discovery on Android Viewer App (small checkbox at the bottom). Then add the IP Address of the spacedesk Server again manually. Then it will immediately connect if Server is accessible on the network.

    Please let us know if one or both of these approaches work for you.

    As of now 19200 x 3240 is unlikely to be achieved, as the maximum working resolution is around 16k pixels. Currently, not many hardware devices can support resolutions higher than that, and it’s not something that third-party applications like spacedesk can easily bypass.

    I am looking for a solution that can extend the pixel space from the windows 11 16k horizontal resolution to 19200. The total desktop resolution I need is 19200 wide x 3240. The standard windows desktop tool allows up to about 16k pixels wide, which is not quite where I need to operate. We are successful with 15360×3240. Can spacedesk get around this desktop canvas size limit and extend the additional 3840 pixels?

    The unnecessary input at the lower right portion of the display bug is a known issue. The fix for this will be released in one of the next spacedesk Driver updates. We will let you know once the fix has been included and is available for download.

    I’m trying to use Spacedesk for my Samsung Galaxy S9 with direct USB-connection which seems to me being the most stable connection. However, if I use my original Samsung pen that came with the tablet calibration is way off. It’s ok in the center of the tablet (a few millimetres off) but if I touch the screen with the pen close to the edges of the tablet, the touch is recognised about 2cm off. Like this the pen is unusable. Already tried Windows touch and pen calibration but to no avail since there is no way to hit the Windows calibration crosshair. What can I do? Any help appreciated. The strange thing is that I do not observe this if spacedesk connects via usb tethering or local network, however these connections heavily depend on the bandwidth in my network and are unstable at times.

    Yes, this was the gesture. Thanks. If you want I can tell you more problems.
    If I ask the Internet my iPhone has a screen resolution of 2340 * 1080.
    If I set this resolution, windows reports it as correctly taken. But that didn’t happen always. I got the feeling I first have to add the IP to make the change worky. Can this be true?
    Windows seems to remember the horizontal-setting which is nice.
    When playing a full screen video in VLC everything is flattened.
    If moving the window in the middle of both monitors it seems the height is 2.5 times higher as it should.
    And the mouse will not click where I click. In horizontal rotation everything seems coorect.
    Ah, now I see: The screen output will be stretched as if it was 1080 * 2340.
    Now guess what would happen if I try to set this resolution? “max 2436 * 1125” 🙁

    2. Maybe, I just read about the meaning of pinch gesture. So didn’t have tested yet.
    3. How am I supposed to do that. Use a second phone? The problem is only as described when activiting auto-rotation. If disabled it behaves different. And if I manage to duplicate the desktop, which isn’t always allowed by windows, it gets even more strange and reverts back to Extend Mode at the second rotation.

    1. You can only open the viewer settings if it’s not connected to the primary machine.
    2. “Sometimes, it asks me if I want to stop the connection, but I don’t know what gesture triggers that.” – This behavior should only occur when a pinch gesture is made on the screen; no other gesture should trigger it. Are you perhaps accidentally pinching the screen?
    3. Regarding the rotation issue, could you please provide a video clip that shows the actual issue you are encountering?

    Hello, nice tool.
    I’m using iOS and I wanted to know how to open the Settings without completely shutting down the app.
    Sometimes it asks me if I wanted to stop the connection but I don’t know what gesture triggers that.

    I have also a problem with rotation:
    When disabling auto-rotation of server-
    -I must manually set to horizontally on PC to use the phone in landscape mode.
    When enabling auto-rotation of server-
    -I cannot set the correct orientation because the auto-update overwrites the setting.
    So in both cases the error is the app confusing the correct orientations like this:
    -If the Phone is horizontally, the orientation is correct.
    -If the Phone is rotated to the left, the view is rotated clockwise by 90 degrees.
    -If The Phone is any of the 2 other orientations, the view is rotated counter-clockwise by 90 degrees.

    My System:
    iPhone 12 mini, iOS 16.2, Windows 7, USB Tethering

    I see, next, we should get traces to pinpoint what might be causing your spacedeskConsole issue.

    just follow the steps below:
    – Run your CMD as administrator then add this command:
    reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\datronicsoft\spacedeskConsole /v DebugTraceEnabled /t REG_DWORD /d 1
    note: If there’s an overwrite prompt, just type yes.
    – Download DebugView app using this Link: https://download.sysinternals.com/files/DebugView.zip
    – Extract the files from the zipped folder
    – Run the Dbgview.exe as Administrator
    – Make sure to only check the Capture -> Capture Win32 and Capture Events
    – while DebugView is open, please try to run your spacedeskDriver again and reproduce the Issue
    – please save the logs (as .txt file) and send it to us.

    How did you attempt to uninstall it? (via control panel, etc.) and did you encounter any error during uninstall?
    Which files are still present that you are trying to delete?

    Could you please try to install again the driver using the latest spacedesk Driver v1.0.73 from http://www.spacedesk.net/ and from there, try to uninstall it the regular way using .msi installer (Remove) or control panel (Uninstall)

    If the above suggestions didn’t work, please try the following steps found in the chapter Uninstall on Windows Primary Machine > Troubleshooting Uninstall in the Instruction Manual – https://manual.spacedesk.net/TroubleshootingUninstall.html

    Theoretically, it should work with the use of an ethernet adapter, But please note that this feature has not been fully tested yet. so it may or may not work on some devices.
    Another option that you can try is by using USB tethering on your iPad Pro, provided that the device supports it.

    FYI: native iOS USB cable support is expected to be available in late 2023.

    I have uninstalled and installed it many times since it is not starting.
    Yes, I have spacedeskConsole.exe in C:\Windows\System32.
    I have provided this files in 7zip format.
    – run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
    – spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
    – setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF

    please solve this issue since I have to connect using USB cable or is their another way of doing this without opening diver console.exe
