Hello! I connected my laptop as a second monitor. As long as I don’t work on it, there are no problems. But as soon as I play the video or open the browser, within 1-10 minutes the screen freezes until the Viewer on the laptop restarts. I don’t get any errors, the screen just stops freezing, and I can still send apps to the second screen.
My PC:
Windows 10 Corporate
v. 22H2 19045.4894
SpaceDesk Driver Console v. 2.1.22
My laptop:
Windows 11 PRO
v. 22H2 22631.4169
SpaceDesk Viewer v. 0.0.34.0
1) Both devices have the latest Windows updates installed.
2) The latest video card drivers are installed on the PC.
3) Both devices do not have external antiviruses and the firewall is disabled
4) Rebooted and reinstalled SpaceDesk on both devices
I couldn’t find a way on the Internet or on the forum that would fix the problems.
I heard about this app when searching for an option to use my iPad Pro as a second monitor for my work PC and got everything downloaded but I’m not sure my PC has the right specs. I connected my iPad to the PC via USB and there was a warning that popped up on the PC saying something about not enough power and my wireless mouse and keyboard stopped working (have to use a Bluetooth dongle that came with the mouse/keyboard combo). The iPad Pro is running iPadOS 17.6.1 and the PC specs are Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz, Installed RAM 8.00GB, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. Windows specs are Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2, OS build 19045.4780, Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19060.1000.0.
Hi @mohamedwaly,
please send us the diagnostics.
Open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Follow the collection steps and send us the zipped folder.
In case the folder size exceeds 512KB, upload it in Dropbox/Google Drive/One Drive/etc. and send us a download link.
Hi @kevins_24,
does the problem only happen in one of your devices (TB-X704V)?
Is there maybe an antivirus installed on this device?
If you still have the spacedesk driver v2.1.21 installer, you may revert to this version.
Hi,
I love your App very much, it’s great! Recently i updated your app and found the opportunity to set connection via USB cable, but i couldn’t find anywhere in documentation what is the cable type i need to use?
My devices are:
Windows 11 laptop and Ipad 7th gen. I want to use Ipad as a second monitor via usb.
Is it Lightning to HDMI adapter?
Thank you very much in advance!
Hi @kevins_24,
is spacedesk connected via wireless or USB cable connection?
To further analyze the problem, please send us the diagnostics.
Open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Follow the collection steps, compress and attach the generated folder (.zip) in your next reply.

After updating to version 2.1.22 the other day, my android device has been experiencing connectivity issues with my computer nearly every time. I restarted both devices and the issue is still here. In case you were wondering, it says connected – display off, but I can still move my mouse to the virtual display and it thinks its still connected.
Hi Nicole.
thanks for the reply.
Yes, correct. it’s Windows 11 Home OS ARM platform.
Is there any plan of updating the spacedesk for that OS?
Hi @xxkillerkid99xx,

Hello spacedesk supporters.
I’ve been using spacedesk well on the previous laptop so far. I recently purchased a new, latest laptop and tried to install and use spacedesk, but the spacedesk on the second monitor does not work. The second monitor is a Samsung tablet as well and it just shows a message “Connected – display off”. I tried to check it with the previous laptop(HP) again, it works well. I’m curious if spacedesk dose not work on the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU.
The laptop model and CPU specifications are as follows.
* Company : SAMSUNG
* Model: NT940XMA-K01AB
* CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon® X Elite CPU
After inquiring with the SAMSUNG company, they told me to contact spacedesk to see if it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon® X Elite CPU.
I’ve also tried to change the resolution to the main monitor’s resolution of 1080P with no results
Hi @xxkillerkid99xx,
spacedesk graphics adapter and all other screen extension/duplication applications that are using Microsoft Indirect Display Driver model has a default WDDM 1.3 version.
Missing display duplication option should only happen if the main graphics adapter has < WDDM 2.0.
Please try the following:
(a) in the spacedesk viewer app, select a resolution that is supported by the main display.
(b) use the display switch (Win + P) to duplicate the displays
I have a MS Surface (client) connected to a LG Gram with Windows 11
Android Clients works ok, but in Surface the mouse froze every 15 seconds aprox.
The keyboard also froze
Can you help me ?
Windows Viewer v 0.9.45 (BETA)
Windows Server
Windows Driver version 2.1.22
Hi, I am looking for a fix to my duplication option in my windows not showing up. I am running windows 10 with newest nvidia graphics drivers, but the WDDM for the space desk is 1.3. I have no idea how this has happened and have tried reinstalling and updating drivers and spacedesk to of no use. If anyone has any clue on how to get my duplicate display back, please do reply to this message.
Hi @juriy,
we do not have such option but you can achieve quite a similar setup with the following steps:
1. Open spacedesk Driver Console.
2. Navigate to Control on the left pane. On the right pane, input value -1 in Connection close delay and press Enter key. Please refer to the screenshot attached.
Connection close delay setting will only take effect after manually disconnecting the viewer app.
The display will stay plugged up to N seconds/hours/etc. Value -1 means infinite.
The display can be unplugged when spacedesk Driver is switched OFF or upon primary machine shutdown/restart.
Hello, I have an issue with the windows 7 spacedesk viewer where I have the YUV compression disabled for seemingly no reason, I have connected my computer with an ethernet connection to my laptop so bandwidth couldn’t be a problem, and changing the colour depth options, quality, or fps doesn’t change anything. I am running the v0.9.45 (BETA) version of the viewer and I am on a fully updated copy of Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64. I have attached a screenshot below of the issue.

Good evening, sorry for the delay.
I tried to install qWAVE but without success.
I installed windows 10 and now I will have to re-insert many software but some are no longer on the market.
thanks for the assistance
Hi,
Very sorry for the extremely late response, I was away for the summer.
Obviously I have already tried restarting both devices (one of the first things I did), however I have managed to solve the problem by downgrading from windows 11 to windows 10. The laptop has been stable with the tablet connected for the past week and a half.
Thank you for your help.
1) spacedesk has detected that qWAVE feature is unavailable;
2) there is a problem with this windows installer package;
3) an error has been encountered while inistalling spacedesk driver.
thank
Hello
Still impossible to connect two iPads at the same time… When I launch the second one, it switches alternately from one to the other with the message no display: “connected – no display”
I’m on Windows 11 latest update… SPACEDESK 2.1.21… on iPad also latest version …
SPACEDESK 2.1.21 starts correctly and the iPad is detected in the Wall1 wifi LAN…
But when I plug in the second iPad, it goes from one to the other…
Thank you for your attention…
Hi @rfml,
Do you have the latest driver version installed in your server machine? Are you connecting your ipads via USB or via wifi? Also, are both displays in desktop extension mode? For further info on connecting new displays, you may refer to the User Manual here:
Connecting a New Display Monitor over the Network
Connecting a New Display Monitor over the USB Cable
Desktop Extension or Desktop Duplication (mirror) Settings in Display Control Panel
First of all: You can always uninstall spacedesk in Safe Mode. Just look at the instruction manual on https://manual.spacedesk.net There is a chapter “UNINSTALL ON WINDOWS PRIMARY MACHINE” and “Troubleshooting Uninstall”.
Second: Since you are talking about contemporary Windows (Windows 11 or 10), we can hardly imagine how the problem could be related to spacedesk. WDDM IddCx Display Drivers are not known to have such side effects (*). However, if you like we could still analyze details of your case. Then on Monday our team could instruct you how to create and send logfiles.
(*) Only in case of Legacy Windows (8.1 and 7) such a problem could theoretically be related to spacedesk. In rare cases, Legacy WDDM Hook Display Drivers might expose such side effects.
I tried to uninstall spacedesk in safe mode, but when deleting, the error “An error has been encountered while installing spacedesk driver” came out. If I restart my computer, I will exit safe mode and find myself in normal Windows mode, where the screen freezes due to spacedesk. What should I do? (windows 11)
Hello, I was using the iOS app on my Mac and after I installed an app to help keep my screen from turning off (Amphetamine), Spacedesk started to become unusable. I noticed that when it tries to connect (I have it set to auto connect to my PC) the status box is cropped out and the screen is completely black after it connects. I can tell it’s connecting because my PC can detect the screen.
I’m running on macOS 14.6.1 as well as the most recent version of the Spacedesk iOS app. My driver is up to date as well.
I have found spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v2116.msi package, opened the installation package and selected the uninstall option, that’s it, the problem is solved.
I decided to add another monitor to my computer, so I tried using your program. However, I keep getting the same error. When trying to increase the resolution to 4K on my Android Philips TV, it always shows that the maximum allowed resolution is 1920×1080, which is Full HD. I keep trying to do this over Wi-Fi, but it doesn’t work.
Zipped diagnosticss folder was less than 512 k but have uploaded to https://we.tl/t-05ddOyEsXK
It’s an older Samsung but it does support 1080p.
However, it could have been an issue with that or with the stick interacting with the TV because when I asked a friend to try the adb method, there’s been a huge change in the main screen already. Even though the stick itself was set to display 1080p. After setting the resolution manually everything works fine
Hi @xarispwner,
such setup might work.
You may use the HTML5 viewer on your ChromeOS device’s browser and
install the spacedesk legacy (Win8.1) driver on your Windows 8 laptop.
Hi @mairunar,
I checked the specs of the Mi TV Stick and it does support 1080p resolution.
But, does the TV itself support 1080p?
Our spacedesk viewer only detects the given native resolution and gives a list of available custom resolution smaller than the native.
Hi @landy,
following up on the diagnostics. If the file size exceeds 512KB, please upload it to Dropbox/Onedrive/Google Drive/etc. and send us the link.
Are the devices maybe connected to a public network? Have you checked Step 5 of our network connection troubleshooting (user manual link above)?
Hi,
It has worked really fine in almost 8 month. I have a plug in browser in “Modern Browser” för Milestone Xprotect Smart Client. It stopped working. It does not work in MS Edge browser anymore.
I can connect in both browsers, reach the meny settings, but no desktop picture from server PC. I have upgraded Spacedesk server to ver 2.1.21
Both windows Defender is disabled. I run on a local ethernet, with dedicated IP adresses. I can ping the PC:s both ways. The Specedesk server says that it is connected.
The PC client is a Windows 10, ver 21H1, with Edge version 127.0.2651.98
Please se attached export config file from server program.
Looking forward for help ASAP.
Regards
Fredrik from Sweden
Hi @spcdsk_nicole
I have a similar issue using a Mi TV Stick – my TV has a resolution of 1920×1080 and spacedesk viewer doesn’t allow setting a resolution higher than 1280×720. Is there any patch in the work as I’m not really knowledgeable enough to fix it myself as amiga did?

The web return error duplicated reply with the links so I will post it separately.
Hi @landy,
the file isn’t attached. If the file size exceeds 512KB, please upload it to Dropbox/Onedrive/Google Drive or similar and send us the link.
Hi @kostovite,
what is the display orientation of the spacedesk display in the Windows display settings of HP ZBook 15 G2?
Is it set to Landscape (flipped)?
Hi @riyal2k69,
have you tried to extend to this new monitor?
Display modes e.g. mirror or extend can be switched using Windows display settings or display switch (Win+P).
For reference, please see the following topics of our user manual:
– Desktop Extension or Desktop Duplication (mirror) Settings in Display Control Panel
(https://manual.spacedesk.net/DesktopExtensionorDesktopDuplica.html)
– Desktop Extension or Desktop Duplication (mirror) Settings in Display Switch
(https://manual.spacedesk.net/DesktopExtensionorDesktopDuplic1.html)
Currently, ARM64 devices with Copilot+PC specifications are continuously being released, and their sales volume is also steady enough to be ignored. In addition, many existing ARM64 devices are being used, including Surface products.
Spacedesk’s driver and server do not support ARM64. In addition, even UWP applications frequently crash. I think it is a problem to declare that you will not support ARM64 and not support it.
Windows 10 does not need to be supported. However, Windows 11 in the ARM64 environment must be supported. Please develop and release drivers + servers for ARM64 and UWP clients.
I’m on Windows 11, and spacedesk doesn’t connect to the LAN.
Hi @javier,
on your Windows machine, search for Tablet PC Settings.
For reference, here is a post in the Microsoft forum that describes the same issue:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/touch-going-to-wrong-monitor-tablet-pc-settings/a41a75b9-4264-498a-980b-ebe1b528191d
Hi @Nicole,
when I disconect USB cable from tablet, the primary display touch work fine .
I’m using win11pro on primary display and don’t find where calibrate touch screen.
Thanks
Hi @maxark68,
do you have both native resolution and custom resolution enabled on your viewer app?
If yes, then Windows could be using the custom resolution which is not a match to your tablet’s aspect ratio.
Three potential solutions:
1. In Windows display settings, identify the spacedesk display and select it. Change its resolution to the native resolution.
2. Select a different custom resolution on the viewer app. Custom resolution with a (*) mark indicates that it matches the tablet’s aspect ratio.
3. Disable custom resolution by unchecking the option on the viewer app. This is not a preferred suggestion as you may encounter the black bars again when you duplicate/mirror the main display and spacedesk display.
Hi @ilsyer,
do you maybe connect by USB cable?
We received similar reports and released a new version with the fix.
Please update the Android viewer app to v2.1.13 and let us know if you still encounter the issue.
