Hi @fred,
it seems that the viewer is continuously trying to reconnect despite the possible error occurring on your primary machine upon connection attempt.
Could you please check if the auto-reconnect is enabled on your iOS viewer app, then disable it and try again to connect. Then let us know if it gives any error code/info with connection time.
Then also check if there’s an error notification on your primary machine upon connection attempt.
For further analysis, could you also please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save All Information”, then attach the output file (dxdiag.txt) on your next reply.
By the way, please update to most recent spacedesk Driver v1.0.8 available on our website.
Hi @jland0001,
For further analysis, please send us the following:
– screenshot showing the color issue
– dxdiag.txt of your primary machine (just run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save All Information”, then save the output file (dxdiag.txt)
Hello, I have an iPad 2017 full updated and when I tap on my automatically found PC IP address to connect, it shows this text: “Connected, display off” or somethings like this. At the same time as I do that, my PC does the unplug sound every “n” seconds and all the times it does that my resolution change or my monitor shut down. I don’t support Miracast cause I don’t have Wireless module, so I’m obviously trying to connect them with my iPad connected to the USB port.
Thanks for the help.
I have Windows 10 Pro and connect to two Sony Bravia TV’s that have Android OS. When I connect TV’s using Spacedesk, the image that is “mirrored” on the two TV’s are washed out. I have tried several changes in the TV settings but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?
It works, but the pen is laggy. After installing the driver the Win10 starting Menu stopped working. I had to reboot the computer.
Can confirm the bug is fixed in 1.0.8. Thank you so much!
Can’t wait for pro version release so I can support spacedesk team.
Hi Lea,
I get the exact same message when I tried to use the 1.0.7 .msi file.
I’ll try the other things you mentioned and see how things go.
Hi @johncoool,
Thanks for the info. We will try to reproduce it.
For further analysis, could you please send us the dxdiag of your Windows 8.1 machine?
Just run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file.
Can you also quickly try with v0.9.73 if the issue is also present. You can download it here.
Hi @a_mad_denial,
please try the following:
– use v1.0.7 installer available here to uninstall the current version on your machine
– try the Troubleshooting Uninstall – Step 2:Try Microsoft Fix chapter in our user manual
If problem still persist, please send us the following for further analysis:
– run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
– spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
– setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
I am unable to uninstall the 1.0.7 version because Windows doesn’t recognise it as a valid installer.
Please see attachment for message.
I tried installing 1.0.8 and it wouldn’t install because of the previous version. I then tried to uninstall the previous version and had this pop up.
WTF

What is your secondary machine? Android/iOS/Windows?
For further analysis, could you please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save All Information”, then attach the output file (dxdiag.txt) on your next reply.
um, the video is too large…
Here is it:
[video src="https://github.com/yfzhao20/cloud/blob/main/4872923199bbecd883350c4b15a87a01.mp4" /]
server: v1.0.7 win10 21H2
secondary machine: surface go 2 ; v0.0.23.0; win 10 20H2
Unable to connect to server wirelessly. However my Android phone can connect server.
I think it is the bug of the app on my secondary machine…
Here is the video ↓
Looking forward to the solutions. Thanks!
Hi @ajwbd17,
It seems that the app being opened is located on the primary display, the current connected spacedesk viewer is still the secondary display that’s why I suggested to move the window to your viewer screen.
If it’s not easy to do, you can also try display switch (Windows logo + P hotkey maybe for several times until it switch to single output/projector mode or duplicate so that the spacedesk viewer screen will become the primary display of the laptop.
I’m still experiencing this problem and would like to pursue it. I’m running the viewer on a Samsung S7+.
my Windows machine is using Beta Version 1.0.7
Android is using v0.9.73
I’ve rebooted and I’ve explicitly run services.msc and restarted the spacedesk service. Still to no avail.
I have been using and updating Spacedesk for about 2 years so far.
I am using it between Windows 8.1 and Android Lollipop.
It was more stable a while ago at around version 0.9.44 .
The current issue now is that as soon as I connect the Windows explorer hangs and I need to restart the explorer.exe and sometimes it would keep on hanging until I stop the Spacedesk service and starting it again.
This issue showed up in the past 2 updates. I am not sure if this issue started after I did a Windows update or just from the latest Spacedesk updates. I do have over 50 programs running in the background as well but even with it, it was always more stable than it has been lately.
Spacedesk has been at Beta for a several years since it started. I assume that is because it is not easy to get it to be 100% stable. Will it always be free or is that just during the Beta testing phase? (All other similar products are not free).
Let me know if you need more information. I will most probably be downgrading it back to an older version by the end of this week.
The Graphics card is Intel.
Spacedesk an amazing program, just needs to be more stable.
Hi @lun,
Please make sure that both primary machine and secondary devices are connected on the same local area network.
Do you maybe have VPN (Virtual Private Network) enabled?
Do you have third-party firewall software on your primary machine?
Could you please send us the following info:
Primary Machine
– operating system (Windows 8.1/10)?
– graphics adapter (AMD/Intel/Nvidia)
– network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)
Secondary Machine
– Viewer type (Android/iOS/Windows/HTML5)
– network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)
For assistance, please also check troubleshooting – network connection chapters in our user manual https://spacedesk.net/user-manual.
The second screen connects properly and the mouse input also works, but not the touch, neither the pen. However, the spacedesk Driver window in the primary machine (Win 10) shows “No remote connection”, and nothing happens when I try to change the “Settings” to, for instance, OFF. I receive a popup message “Dou you really want to disable…”, I choose “Yes”, but nothing changes. The tablet is connected through wi-fi hotspot, and everything is updated (NVIDIA driver 471.41)
NoPenNoTouch.
Hi @virtuala,
1. Yes, current BETA version is free and has touchscreen support.
Once we release a Pro version, the free version will only support touchpad / relative touch feature as stated in our website.
2. Pro version purchase will be a one time payment only.
Hello, dear developer;)
I’m a user from China. I found a problem when using it
Environment: win10 (main display, spacedesk version 1.0.7), Android (secondary display, spacedesk version 0.9.55)
There was no problem with NVIDIA driver version 27.21.14.6647, but after I upgraded to version 27.21.14.7141, I could only cast the screen on Android instead of clicking the mouse on the control installation. I don’t know if it doesn’t support the latest version of driver. I can only return NVIDIA driver version 27.21.14.6647 (solved the problem)
PS: when will the official version come out? expect
PS:The above comes from translation software
I experienced exactly the same issue. Downgrading to a previous, working driver version (1.05) haven’t solved.
Same issue with the latest versions -> win10 64bit driver v1.0.7, android app v0.9.73
Hi @firefall,
Thanks for sending the requested files.
The dump analysis shows a crashing Intel Graphics driver (igdkmd64.sys).
We can’t tell if it was the spacedesk driver that causes it to crash, there’s not much details in the (stack) trace.
In any case, spacedesk bugs on our Windows 7/8.1 driver will not be fixed any more.
Further improvements (e.g. bug fixing and feature implementation) on Windows 10 spacedesk driver is our priority at the moment.
If you like, you can upgrade to Window 10 and the BSOD (blue screen of death) will most likely gone.
Hi, I was able to use my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite S-Pen yesterday. However, the feature can not be and it prompts up the msg.
Unsupported feature on server-side
You cannot use the stylus feature with your current Windows-PC spacedesk Driver.
Thereafter, I have download and install the latest version of spacedesk v1.0.7. However, the issue remains unresolved. Please help.
Hi @makesgood,
Do you have Nvidia graphics driver on your primary machine?
Is Nvidia ShadowPlay/screen recording currently active?
If yes, please disable it, reboot then try again with spacedesk.
If problem still persist, please send us the following info:
Primary Machine
– operating system (Windows 8.1/10)?
– graphics adapter (AMD/Intel/Nvidia)
– network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)
Secondary Machine

– network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)
Hi @cody,
Seems like the uninstall issue we have on our previous installer.
Could you please try the following:
– reboot your primary machine
– delete the C:\Users\Public\spacedeskSetup.log
– open device manager, just run devmgmt.msc
– click View tab -> Devices by connection
– scroll down and find spacedesk virtual HID device
– underneath spacedesk virtual HID device, please right-click -> Uninstall device each devices (one by one)
– then uninstall spacedesk virtual HID device last
– try to uninstall spacedesk via Control Panel or original MSI installer
– reboot your primary machine then try to install the latest spacedesk version 1.0.6
Good day, I ran into such a problem, when I connect a second monitor (laptop) and throw something on it, then with a time of literally 5-10 seconds the picture will freeze, in a second 2-3, and so every 20-30 seconds. Before reinstalling windows, everything was fine, I don’t know what to do.
Hello, I’m using windows 10 where I had spacedesk installed for a long time. Recently I created a new windows user and I wanted to use spacedesk there too. But I couldn’t and I couldn’t install spacedesk either so I tried uninstalling it from the main account. When I didn’t succeed I deleted the second windows account and went to reinstall spacedesk on the primary account.
spacedesk Windows DRIVER Setup gives a message that there’s already a version installed and asks if I would like to update it. Then it proceeds to get stuck. The driver doesn’t install. Is there anything that I can do?
I have two 10 inch Android tablets connected via WiFi Direct. This works great, but on one tablet as soon as I touch the screen the Windows desktop pointer disappears. Everything functions correctly apart from that, I can use my finger to move and select items as normal, just with no visible Windows mouse pointer. The pointer functions correctly on the other tablet.
This seems to happen after I connect a second tablet, the pointer will function normally on the last connected tablet and stops working on the first one. I am not sure exactly at which point this happens but it seems related to start order.
It is not a problem restricted to one particular tablet, I can get the pointer to work on either of them depending on which one I connect first.
Both tablets are the same make, model, and software versions, and I cannot find any difference in any of their settings.
When I try to connect to primary machine(Windows 8.1) from secondary device(Windows 7), primary machine crashes.
– Primary machines’s Graphics adapter: Intel HD Graphics 3000, NVIDIA NVS 4200M
– Network connection type: Wi-fi
Hi @mrjtrix
Our developer is currently fixing various bugs in our current spacedesk iOS viewer app (including app crash issue).
We will get back to you as soon as we have new version released on the App Store.
For further analysis, may we request for your iOS application logs?
In order for our developer to receive it, please go to your iOS device’s Settings -> Privacy -> Analytics & Improvements, then enable the “Share With App Developers”, then try to reproduce again the spacedesk viewer crash.

Hi @ajwbd17,
It seems like the window is opening on the wrong screen and you have to drag it to your visible primary screen.
Can you please try the following steps:
– hover your mouse on the task bar icon of the app
– once the small preview window show up on top of the task bar icon, right click it and select “Move” on the context menu
– try to move it by clicking the left or right arrow key continuously (depends on which side the window is located), to drag the window to your primary/visible screen.
For assistance, please check the screenshot attached.
Current public spacedesk version BETA RC v1.0.4 supports Windows 11 Insider Previews.
Please download and try it out.
Only two known reasons for BSOD crash on Windows 10:
1.) NVIDIA graphics? Previous NVIDIA drivers were faulty. Update to 461.09 (dated1.7. 2021) or above.
2.) USB Tethering? Some USB cable drivers crash. Update or don’t use USB Tethering.
Can you update for Windows 11 now that insider builds are available?
I have a HP ProBook 4440s Laptop with an intel core i5 3210M 2.50ghz
I use spacedesk for like 15 minutes and i get a BSOD (Blue screen of death), I don’t know what’s the reason of this error.
Primary device: Windows 10 20H2
– Primary machine operating system: Windows 10 20H2
– Secondary machine operating system: Android 11
– Primary machines’s Graphics adapter: Intel HD Graphics 4000
– Network connection type: USB tethering
I just did a fresh format of my computer and reinstalled Windows 10 x64 Pro version 1803 10.0.17134.320 (the very latest one).
Yes, it’s the x64 Windows 10 one. Any ideas? I also tried the previous two driver versions and got the same error message. Doing a google search this seems to be a common problem. Why can’t Nvidia get their drivers straight?
Hi red2021,
Could you please try to disable the 10-bit Pixel Format in the AMD Radeon Software settings?
Just open the Radeon Software window, click the Settings icon on the top right side, then “Graphics” -> “Advanced” -> disable the “10-bit Pixel Format” then reboot your primary machine to apply the changes.
