    (Sorry for bad English I’m from Turkey btw) I tried teamviewer, spacedesk and xdisplay programs on my laptop. While using SpaceDesk, my phone screen just comes on for 2 seconds and then it says “connected display off”. At the other programs it’s the same thing: I can see my laptop screen on my phone for only 2 seconds after that it disconnects. But on my old laptop with Windows 8.1 (My new laptop runs Windows 11) it connects in a few seconds automaticaly, I tried it with some kind of goofy aah phone and it’s the same! It connect to my old laptop in a few seconds but on my new laptop it comes on for 2 seconds then it says CONNECTED DISPLAY OFF how can i fix that ?

    Now remote audio is supported by win7 and phone version.I really need this function.But the experience of win7 version is worse than the store version(win10) in other ways.I really hope to add this function in store version.Or update a msi version like server version.It’s fine.Thank you.

    Thank you for the Reply.

    Ok reproducing the Error should be straightforward:

    1: Start high Demanding Games Like Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen.
    2: Set the Game on the Mainmonitor to 1080p Borderless Window.
    3: Setup a Video on the Tablet in Fullscreen mode in 1080p60Fps on Youtube or Twitch.
    4: Play the Game and just disconnect from the Tablet during you are Playing and the Video running via normal Exit from Tablet or just deactivate WIFI.
    5: Windows 11 Zooms out and in and then the Screen Freezes. Any Attempt to use the Keyboard or Mouse result in Rapidly Morsecodes. Game Audio runs normal, but i think the Graphic Card don’t liked xD. (Nvidia 1060 6GB, i7-7700 with 24 GB RAM on Windows 11 are my Specs.).

    Hi @Yikes2000,

    Please try the following workaround:

    1. Update both of your NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3080 graphic’s Game Ready Driver and Studio Driver from their official website, just input the details of your driver in the dropbox. (Geforce RTX 30 series, Windows 10 64bit)
    Link: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
    note: if one of the drivers is not available, you can proceed to download what’s available from the choices

    2. Try to enable your HDR in windows settings. you can access this by going to windows settings > Display > Windows HD Color > enable ‘Stream HDR video’

    Then Please tell us the result in your next reply.

    Hi @spacedesk lea, thank you for you Reply… i just added 2 logs which was remainining after i Panicuninstalled Spacedesk xD ^^ i just came home from Work, i submit these Logs and go back to Couch/Sofa, i hope these are helping lol XD

    Apologies for that.
    Attached the proper ones now. The error occurred around 12:23 so you may have to skip down a bit as I started at 11:55

    Any help is appreciated as this is driving me nuts.

    Multi-touch on spacedesk Windows 10 Viewer (from Microsoft Store) is currently in progress.
    We will get back to you as soon as we have news regarding this feature.

    , these are not expected anytime soon:
    – a Realtime quality slider into the viewer
    – an audio only stream mode

    As for the lower YUV settings (4:1:1/4:0:0), currently you are the only one requesting for it so far.
    We can only add features which are of interest to a larger audience.
    Can you explain the reasons why you need it? And why this could be of interest to a larger audience?

    Server Beta RC v1.0.50 on Windows 10

    When “Flipped Display” is activated, the mouse is laggy on the flipped image, and the color is wrong (tried all SubSampling options).

    Hi, connecting an older Win10 notebook to a modern android tablet or android smartphone, the tablet only displays an empty windows desktop, without any icons. I’ve updated Win10 to the actual version, but this didn’t help. What might be the reason? Thanks for any hint.

    Hi @its2k,

    spacedesk Windows 10 Viewer (from Microsoft Store) doesn’t have the Speaker/Audio option (yet).
    So far Speaker/Audio is only available in Android and Windows 7 Viewer (Desktop version) as experimental feature.

    Hi @roybautista,

    It looks like you cleared the spacedesk settings that’s why there’s no more Video Walls underneath the Control.
    To create a new Video Wall, you have to switch ON the Videowall status underneath Videowall Configuration box.
    Upon connecting a viewer/client, click the client connected underneath “Connections Active” and on the right panel, just open the Videowall tab and assign it to a Wall by setting a Wall Index e.g. “1”, then it will create Video Wall1 underneath the Control.

    Hi @jloughran,

    Thanks for sending the logs, but unfortunately it doesn’t show any spacedesk logs.

    Please follow the steps above on how to get the diagnostic logs via spacedesk Driver Console.
    spacedesk Driver Console app generates a diagnostic folder name like “2023-01-10-XXXXX-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics” (which contains all necessary diagnostic log files), then this is the folder that you should compress (zipped).

    Same issue here.
    Android tablet black and white, using App (Samsung TAB A7 505) and Dell 2 in 1 5480, fully updated.
    HTML5 version working fine, full color even at this same tablet, with Chrome. But its slower than app, so not a good workaround.

    I´m using Windows 10, updated to last server version 1.0.50 after this bug, reinstalled everything on Dell notebook and Samsung tablet. Cleared settings. Restarted everything. Still Black and White.

    I have a file here it is only for 4 minutes long in real time but has 155432 lines and is 12MB.

    Could you please try the following steps below:
    – uninstall the current old spacedesk Driver installed on your primary machine via Windows Control Panel or the original v1027 msi installer
    – reboot your primary machine
    – install the latest spacedesk Driver v1050 msi

    I tried to install a newer version 1.0.50., but could not.
    Uninstalling the old version also failed.

    The following error is displayed:
    “There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.
    A problem run asu part of the setup did not finish as
    expected. Contact your suppport personnel or package
    vendor.”

    So I deleted various files and keys referring to the following URL.

    I installed version 1.0.50 on my computer and downloaded the spacedesk application from the store on my samsung tablet, but when connected on the tablet, it says “connected-Display off”. I tried to install spacedesk on my computer many times before, but each time it freezes for days during the installation and the installation was not completed. This time I canceled the firewall option during the installation.

    Hi @gb18,

    Connecting a spacedesk Viewer from your chromebook or tablet as third screen for your primary machine should work.

    As for the performance issue, there are ways to improve performance.
    Please check the Performance tuning chapter in the user manual.

    Hi GB18.
    I don’t know for sure, but I would expect your setup to work OK.

    I have a desktop with 2 monitors using the HDMI and VGA ports, and have successfully had my chromebook work as a 3rd monitor through wifi. The chromebook appears on the Windows > System > Display as monitor 3, and extends the display.

    I even had a tablet working as a 4th display at the same time!

    My only issue was that I found that the chromebook and tablet were a bit laggy.

    I have the same problem. I believe is for the versions. PC version is v1.05 and android version in my tablet is v0.9.1. How can I dowload the v0.9.1 for my pc?

    I would like to use my laptop as a 3rd monitor. I already have my primary computer (a laptop) set up to monitors 1 and 2 with HDMI to one and VGA to another. I have another laptop to use as a 3rd monitor. I have seen how to download the software and set it up….will this 3rd monitor setup mess up my setups with the other 2 monitors since monitor 3 will be the only one using your software?

    You can send it to AndroidApp@spacedesk.ph.
    Please take note that by following the steps above, spacedesk Driver Console app should generate a diagnostic folder name like “2023-01-04-XXXXX-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics” (which contains all necessary diagnostic log files), then this is the folder that you should compress (zipped).

    the black and white screen occurs on the secondary screen with windows 7 and I already downloaded it again several times, and the main screen has windows 11 and that looks perfect, the problem is the windows 7 one, that is, the secondary one

    If the black and white screen is happening with your Windows 10/11 primary machine, could you please send us the diagnostic logs for further analysis. Just follow the steps below:
    – Open spacedesk Driver Console in your Windows primary machine
    – click the Diagnostics on the left side panel
    – if Debug View is not available, please click the download button first
    – switch Diagnostic Collection ON (make sure to click Yes in the User Account Control box to proceed)
    – try to connect your viewer app and reproduce the black and white issue
    – switch Diagnostic Collection OFF
    – click Save All Information button
    PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

    Thank you very much for sending the diagnostic logs.
    Based on the logs, the spacedesk display is detached.
    You can easily attach it via Windows Display Settings, just click the detached then select “Extend/Duplicate” underneath “Multiple displays” drop down menu.

    Windows 10 spacedesk viewer cannot be installed without the Microsoft Store.
    However, the Windows 7 spacedesk Viewer can still be installed on Windows 10.
    Windows 7 spacedesk Viewer is a regular Windows Desktop application.

    You can set a static IP for your android phone/tablet but your spacedesk drivercan not shown on android device spacedesk viewer. And the phone Ip will be 192.168.42.x for phone/tablet but it will not be a problem to connect to pc spacedesk driver.

    I use Windows 11 on the server (desktop) and the viewer has a Windows 10 home (old laptop, my second monitor) and it ever works normally so december.
    But today appears a notification for new version, I download and install but the viewer still showing just in black and white.
    What remains to be done?

    If yes, could you please send us the diagnostic logs for this issue?

    What is the current version of the client for Windows 7?
    I reinstalled the client to v0.9.39 (BETA), but the screen is still black and white.
    The server was also reinstalled to 1.0.50 and everything is fine with it if I connect through the android app.

    I updated my windows on my secondary pc to make it work, in windows 10 it won’t let me set the resolution of my screen which is 900×1600 and I also have windows 7 installed that stays in black and white. I need help

    Thanks Lea, Your solution work perfectly. No more black borders and using the entire area of the client. Also, the issue with “the mouse cursor needs to move to the right of server screen and enters from the left of the client screen.” was due to user error; In Windows 11 when I changed the client screen position, I did not notice I needed to click Applied button that pops up to save the setting. All is good, have a happy new year.
