Hi @yesiamanerd,
Are you using Extend mode? Could you please try hovering your mouse or a window far beyond your primary screen and check if it will be visible in your secondary screen?
Could you also check the status of spacedeskService.exe in the Task Manager under ‘Processes’ or ‘Details’ while the issue is happening?
In the meantime, there are a few things you could try:
– Please make sure that your Graphics Adapter driver is up to date. If it’s not, please try to update it to the latest version.
– Could you please try the ‘Clear spacedesk settings’ and ‘Clear Windows Display Settings’ buttons in the spacedesk Driver console?
– Please note that we recently released new versions for the Windows 10 viewer and Android viewer. Also, make sure to update your spacedesk Driver to v1075.
Link to video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yp8SkI6p1k
(Idk what’s going on and why it won’t update my reply ;-;)
Hello! I recently updated both my driver and viewer versions of spacedesk and the sonarpen crashing issue was resolved, but pen pressure is not working correctly. When I put my stylus down with no pressure at all it’s at full size and opacity, but when I put pressure on it, suddenly it becomes very small as if I was putting very little pressure. I have tried this on multiple apps and it’s the same on all of them. I have verified it isn’t my stylus already.
I’m using windows 11 home version 22h2
Hi @namanyakape,
Could you please check the following:
– open the Windows Display Settings on your primary machine and check if the spacedesk display is detached/grayed out, and if it’s detached just attach it by selecting extend or duplicate
– check for any incompatible software, just run the spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics -> Incompatible Software Products
also, we just released a new spacedesk Driver V1075 (which can be downloaded on our website: https://www.spacedesk.net/ ) and Android Viewer on the playstore. Please make sure to update to their latest version.
Hi
Same Problem by me.
I am using Spacedesk Viewer for 4 month. Now, after running the software (Client) the application window appears for a second and closes.
System: Windows 10
Version: Spacedesk Windows Viewer v0942 Beta
Repair does not work.
I remove the Software und install it again.
Now it Works. Connection over Network works fine.
After closing the Spacedesk client, the same Problem again. I have to remove the Software and install it again. Now it works.
After closing the Spacedesk Viewer, same Problem again.
Achim
For information: I am having the same issue.
Server is a Windows 10 Home PC – server works fine.
Viewer is a Surface Pro 6 running Windows 10. This was working fine until around 0900hrs (GMT) on Sunday.
Now loading the programme causes a very brief screen to load and then disappear. Nothing running in the background.
Running the HTML version also gives the same error as mentioned in a previous post (I’m not clued-up on HTML so decided to abandon this.)
Installed the viewer on my MotoG50 phone and it works fine. Also tried loading the viewer on my Windows 10 PC which also works fine.
Cannot roll back to a previous update on the Surface Pro so cannot test.
Disabled the firewall but same results.
Hope this helps.
Andrew
Hi @crazynou,
We have just released a new spacedesk Driver v1.0.74 on our website. Please try it and let us know if it fixes the issue.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Hi @march,
You do not need to downgrade your driver to version 2021.1.7. It is recommended to always keep your graphics driver updated to the latest version. The warning about older NVIDIA graphics drivers causing BSOD specifically refers to versions older than 461.09 (release date: 2021.1.7). Since you have the newest driver from September 2023, you can continue using it without the need for a downgrade.
Hi @henry1992,
We moved this topic from its original thread to avoid confusion.
spacedesk should work regardless of your network band, were there any errors you encountered when you tried to connect with spacedesk?
Could you please try the suggestions underneath “Troubleshooting -> Network Connection” chapter in the instruction manual https://manual.spacedesk.net/NetworkConnection.html
In case the above suggestions don’t work, could you please check if your iPad supports USB Tethering?
if yes, you can try connecting via iOS USB tethering.
Please check the ‘Connecting a New Display Monitor Over the USB Cable’ -> ‘USB Tethering (iOS and Android)’ chapter in the user manual –
https://manual.spacedesk.net/USBTetheringiOSandAndroid.html
On the Website it says ”Update NVIDIA graphics driver to version 461.09 (release date: 2021.1.7) before using it with spacedesk!
Older NVIDIA graphics drivers can crash Windows 10 PCs with BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).”
Do I need to Downgrade my Driver to 2021.1.7 or can I stay at my newest from September 2023?
Hello, I am using Spacedesk Viewer for a long time, and this morning after running the software the application window appears for a second and closes. I am running on windows 10 Home 22H2. Was uninstalling the software and installing again from the Microsoft store and same effect. Version: 0.0.28.0
Any help ?
Thanks.

Hi @spacedesk-christian,
Spacedesk version 1067 worked without any problems as I remember until Monday (11/09/23), the next day I couldn’t connect. I noticed there was a new version and installed it, but it didn’t change anything.
In the case of a USB connection, I followed all the steps in the manual.
Today I managed to connect via USB with (USB Tethering) enabled.
The connection via the cellular network was wireless (mobile data), with WIFI turned off.
Hi @jordzus,
Thank you very much for sending the Diagnostic logs.
For the Unstable Wireless Connection Issue:
-Spacedesk uses an IPv4 connection. Please always ensure that you are using IPv4 instead of IPv6 on your network adapter.
-You previously had space desk Driver v1067. Did you encounter any issues similar to this when using v1067? Is spacedesk stable on your side with v1067?
For the Non-Working USB Issue:
-Are you connecting your USB cable directly to your machine’s USB port, or are you using any USB hub? If you are using a USB hub, please try connecting it directly to your PC’s USB port.
-Previously, you mentioned that “image transmission works via a cellular network.” Do you use a USB cable with Cellular Network ON?
Please try the following steps to see if this will resolve your USB problem:
>Restart your Android device.
>Restart your PC.
Hi @dougw03,
Thank you very much for sending additional information,
Re #1, Could you try changing your Wall dimension to 2880×1920, then do the same resolution to your Videowall Client settings.
For assistance, please refer to the attached Screenshots.
note: you have to hit the enter key per textbox (Width/Height) for the measurement to apply
Could you also check again with the -1 disconnect delay? you need to hit the enter as well for this setting to apply
FYI: We just released a new spacedesk UWP viewer on the MS Store. please update your viewer and use it to test the above suggestions.
Hi Christian,
Re #1, I am using the default resolution (no custom) for surface pro 8 (2880×1920). I tried your suggestion but it didn’t seem to work. My viewer and server are both the latest version updated today. See attached screenshot of both monitor.
Regarding the disconnect, I forgot to add more details because my post kept getting rejected. It seems to be working fairly consistently now. I’d say 1 out of every 10 tries I will re-maximize the UWP viewer and it will open for a split second then the app will close entirely. I cannot seem to pinpoint exactly when this happens but I will report back if it starts happening more frequently. I also just updated the viewer so maybe this issue will be fixed now.

Hi @dougw03,
Re #1 – Are you using a custom resolution in your UWP viewer?
what resolution are you using?
could you please try assigning your viewer to a videowall, then go to ‘Videowall Client Settings’ > Click ‘Float wall preview’ > check the resolution indicated in the floating wall window > use that resolution instead of your Viewer monitor’s resolution.
note: you have to hit the enter key per textbox (Width/Height) for the measurement to apply.
Could you perhaps check the following as well?
-Make sure that your UWP is updated to the latest version. We recently released a new version in the MS Store.
-Also, your spacedesk Driver to v1.0.73
BTW: Just to be clear, does your UWP viewer fail to reconnect when put to maximize?
Re #2 – Thank you for providing information about this software, we will conduct an investigation about this problem.
On the other hand, spacedesk Videowall is already disabled by default upon installation.
Hi @jordzus,
Thank you very much for sending the requested files.
Based on the logs you sent, the server didn’t receive any response from the Viewer.
Please make sure that your Android viewer app is updated to the latest version (v0.91.9).
Also, try to clear spacedesk Cache/Data from the system settings of your Android device.
For further checking of the non-working USB issue, could you please send us the Diagnostic logs again for this specific issue?
Just follow the steps we have sent in our previous reply, but this time, by using a USB cable then try to reproduce the Non-working USB Issue.
then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
Hi @temcat,
Windows 8.1 has its own version of Driver Console; however, it offers the same options as the Tray App (ON/OFF, Windows Display Control Panel, Clear All Display Settings, and Hide Taskbar Icon). The difference is that it contains a lot more information, such as the IP address and active client connections. You can access it by searching for ‘spacedesk Server’ in the search bar.
As for the Native USB connection, Unfortunately, it is not supported yet on Windows 8.1
However, you can try connecting via USB Tethering. Please check the Connecting a New Display Monitor Over the USB Cable -> USB Tethering (iOS and Android) chapter in the user manual –
https://manual.spacedesk.net/USBTetheringiOSandAndroid.html
I would like to connect my Android tablet using a USB cable instead of WiFi but have no USB connection options in the driver window and no Driver Console item in Windows Start menu. It has only these options: ON/OFF, Windows Display Control Panel, Clear All Display Settings, and Hide Taskbar Icon. Is it possible at all to connect using USB from a Windows 8.1 PC?
Hi Christian,
Re #1 Indeed please see attached screenshot to give you some perspective. The connection boxes are simply too small for my fat fingers :D.
Re #2: This is a bit of a unique situation and somewhat nuanced. I am using an ethernet crossover connection between my PC’s for spacedesk. I need to manually switch my thunderbolt dock depending on which PC I want to use as my primary. However, when I switch PC’s and am only using one PC then my crossover cable is essentially looped back into itself. This is the only way to make it easy to switch between PC’s with just one thunderbolt cable. This however causes my spacedesk viewer app to freeze up and I cannot click the disconnect button in the viewer. The only way to get around this is either I have to force close the app or wait a couple minutes for it to finally time out. Let me know if this is clear
Hi @dougw03,
Thank you very much for your input.
There are just some things we would like to clarify.
in #1. Do you mean that the display/icons of your primary machine are too small when displaying in the UWP app?
for #2, “it takes forever to exit spacedesk viewer” does this happen whenever you try to click the disconnect button of the viewer?
I have set Videowall disconnect delay to -1 and my monitor is unassigned under videowall. If I assign the monitor then the screen has issues. The UWP app still disconnects if I don’t have the app open and maximized. Do I need to have my PC assigned to a videowall for the timeout settings to take effect? I cannot disable videowall due to the aforementioned IT software.
Hello,
Your software has been a great boost in my productivity and made my surface pro as a 2nd monitor so much more valuable. There are a couple of improvements I wanted to suggest to the Windows UWP viewer app:
1. For the main screen, can you please increase the size of the UI elements or scale them based on how many connections are available? I have one server PC but there are two options to connect (ethernet or WiFi). I use a Surface Pro with touch screen and I frequently accidentally tap the wifi connection instead of ethernet because the button is so small. Only about 25% of the space in the GUI is being used and it would be a huge help to scale these elements so that the buttons are larger.
2. Startup auto connect does not allow for interrupts. I would like to have spacedesk auto connect via ethernet, however, when I am not connected to ethernet, it takes forever to exit spacedesk viewer because it’s constantly trying to reconnect. I have to wait for things to timeout or force close the app to cancel this. Please allow me to cancel the auto connection.
Thanks
-Doug
Thank you Christian. Indeed I am using the UWP app on Windows 11. I believe I am also using Videowall even though it is unassigned since disconnect delay is grey under control settings. Unfortunately my company’s IT department has software on my machine which prevents me from disabling videowall. I’ll report back if things do not work.
I will add one more thing, because I don’t know if we understood each other well.
I cannot connect to my PC via tablet/smartphone. I get the message “Display connected” – black screen – and the message “The network bandwidth is low…”. On my PC in Spacedesk I get the message “error: connection lost”. Sometimes it’s 1 second and other times it’s 4 seconds, no picture during that time.
Thank you for your answer.
But I still don’t know what’s wrong. I tested the USB connection again and it didn’t work. It turned out that I managed to connect via a mobile network.
The network is not loaded and the router is 1 m away from the tablet/smartphone.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a WiFi card on my PC and I can’t use WiFi direct.
The PC connects to the router via cable and the smartphone via WiFi, so far there have been no problems.
Hi @dougw03,
Are you using spacedesk Viewer for Windows 10? This is expected behavior for UWP apps, but a workaround can be done by setting the ‘Disconnect Delay’ in the spacedesk Console to -1. This will not unplug your secondary machine and will resume its connection when the UWP app becomes active again.
Note: There are two ‘disconnect delay’ settings in the Console: one in the Control Settings and one for the VideoWall settings. You should choose the one based on your setup (if you’re using a VideoWall or just a normal connection).
Thanks for the spacedesk team at first, spacedesk is a useful tool for me.
I link two pc by 1000Mbps net cable, so I have high bandwidth in theory.
Can I using higher fps than 60? I can also try to change file of it.
Thank you for any response!
First of all: spacedesk is designed for use in the LAN (Local Area Network) only. Remote use is not supported. No plans for the future either….
However, you are exploring interesting limits here…
Thus we can take this a little bit further…
You might want to try two more different approaches:
1. Either try to connect with spacedesk HTML5 viewer
2. Or try disabling spacedesk Server Discovery on Android Viewer App (small checkbox at the bottom). Then add the IP Address of the spacedesk Server again manually. Then it will immediately connect if Server is accessible on the network.
Please let us know if one or both of these approaches work for you.
Hi @mrsnh,
As of now 19200 x 3240 is unlikely to be achieved, as the maximum working resolution is around 16k pixels. Currently, not many hardware devices can support resolutions higher than that, and it’s not something that third-party applications like spacedesk can easily bypass.
I am looking for a solution that can extend the pixel space from the windows 11 16k horizontal resolution to 19200. The total desktop resolution I need is 19200 wide x 3240. The standard windows desktop tool allows up to about 16k pixels wide, which is not quite where I need to operate. We are successful with 15360×3240. Can spacedesk get around this desktop canvas size limit and extend the additional 3840 pixels?
Good day
I use an old lenovo X61 tablet pc. This device has a wacom tablet, with a pen. The tablet works without problems, as does the operation with this pen. When connecting via SpaceDesk, however, it is not possible to control the remote side. The mouse works but the pen doesn’t. Does anyone have any experience please?
server: windows 11
client: windows 10 ltsc (device: galaxybook 10.6)
when I use touch screen,
the corner often be clicked.
I uploaded a photo.
I touch anywhere,
but the lower right corner was pressed.
(I flipped the host’s screen,
so the actual wrong-clicked position was
the upper left corner of the spacedeck viewer windows)
When watching the flickering the VLC player keeps being maximized window but in 3 diffent sizes:
-at correct full size
-partly outsize the screen as if height and width were flipped
-as if the screen had only 1080 * 1080
The desktop itself keeps being in place. Something must confuse the player.
Yes, this was the gesture. Thanks. If you want I can tell you more problems.
If I ask the Internet my iPhone has a screen resolution of 2340 * 1080.
If I set this resolution, windows reports it as correctly taken. But that didn’t happen always. I got the feeling I first have to add the IP to make the change worky. Can this be true?
Windows seems to remember the horizontal-setting which is nice.
When playing a full screen video in VLC everything is flattened.
If moving the window in the middle of both monitors it seems the height is 2.5 times higher as it should.
And the mouse will not click where I click. In horizontal rotation everything seems coorect.
Ah, now I see: The screen output will be stretched as if it was 1080 * 2340.
Now guess what would happen if I try to set this resolution? “max 2436 * 1125” 🙁
Hi @rikku33,
1. You can only open the viewer settings if it’s not connected to the primary machine.
2. “Sometimes, it asks me if I want to stop the connection, but I don’t know what gesture triggers that.” – This behavior should only occur when a pinch gesture is made on the screen; no other gesture should trigger it. Are you perhaps accidentally pinching the screen?
3. Regarding the rotation issue, could you please provide a video clip that shows the actual issue you are encountering?
Hello, nice tool.
I’m using iOS and I wanted to know how to open the Settings without completely shutting down the app.
Sometimes it asks me if I wanted to stop the connection but I don’t know what gesture triggers that.
I have also a problem with rotation:
When disabling auto-rotation of server-
-I must manually set to horizontally on PC to use the phone in landscape mode.
When enabling auto-rotation of server-
-I cannot set the correct orientation because the auto-update overwrites the setting.
So in both cases the error is the app confusing the correct orientations like this:
-If the Phone is horizontally, the orientation is correct.
-If the Phone is rotated to the left, the view is rotated clockwise by 90 degrees.
-If The Phone is any of the 2 other orientations, the view is rotated counter-clockwise by 90 degrees.
My System:
iPhone 12 mini, iOS 16.2, Windows 7, USB Tethering

Hi @lanson,
I see, next, we should get traces to pinpoint what might be causing your spacedeskConsole issue.
just follow the steps below:
– Run your CMD as administrator then add this command:
reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\datronicsoft\spacedeskConsole /v DebugTraceEnabled /t REG_DWORD /d 1
note: If there’s an overwrite prompt, just type yes.
– Download DebugView app using this Link: https://download.sysinternals.com/files/DebugView.zip
– Extract the files from the zipped folder
– Run the Dbgview.exe as Administrator
– Make sure to only check the Capture -> Capture Win32 and Capture Events
– while DebugView is open, please try to run your spacedeskDriver again and reproduce the Issue
– please save the logs (as .txt file) and send it to us.
Hi @285714,
What is your spacedesk Driver version?
How did you attempt to uninstall it? (via control panel, etc.) and did you encounter any error during uninstall?
Which files are still present that you are trying to delete?
Could you please try to install again the driver using the latest spacedesk Driver v1.0.73 from http://www.spacedesk.net/ and from there, try to uninstall it the regular way using .msi installer (Remove) or control panel (Uninstall)
If the above suggestions didn’t work, please try the following steps found in the chapter Uninstall on Windows Primary Machine > Troubleshooting Uninstall in the Instruction Manual – https://manual.spacedesk.net/TroubleshootingUninstall.html
Can I connect a windows 11 laptop to the iPad Pro with ethernet cable and run a spacedesk connection?
Just trying to see if this is possible before buying an Ethernet to usb dongle. It would be a completely wired connection.
I try to connect, in my computer, using https://viewer.spacedesk.net/ not possible to open it. I tried using 2 different browsers, Edge and Chrome. I try to connect from another computer and work without problem.
Any idea?
Hi i connected a iPad Air 5 (with Magic Keyboard) to a Windows 11 PC (server) everything works Just fine every Key works beside the Enter and Backspace Key in the Magic Keyboard. The Keyboard definatly works Just fine on the iPad itself.
Thanks in advance for any Help
Thanks for your attention. iOS app on macOS could not support native resoluion. Instead, it only have a scale option which is not beautiful on a bigger screen.
This app is promoted by many KOL in China’s big video platform Bilibili, and a lot of users like it very much. This is a video: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV18z4y1772c/
Look forward to a native version!
Thanks again.
Hi @squale323,
Did the registry workaround fix we provided work on your side? Are you able to connect your iPad with spacedesk v1.0.73 now?
Regarding your question, We are still not sure about the cause of your PC suddenly switching to IPv6 address only,
Additional information may help in identifying the cause of this Issue. For further investigation, you could send us your diagnostic logs.
just follow the steps below:
– open spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics
– if Debug View is not available, please click the download button first
– switch Diagnostic Collection ON (make sure to click Yes in the User Account Control box to proceed)
– try to connect your viewer app if applicable
– switch Diagnostic Collection OFF
– click Save All Information button (if a message box appears, just click No to proceed)
PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.
Here is a video of me trying to use it. This program is for making concept graphs. In this video I tried to link some words together. I tried to make a diagram of two sentences, first using the touch screen. In the second case, I was trying to do the same action with the stylus At some point, I need to draw an arrow connecting one shape to another. It works fine with the touch screen. But, it fails to keep A single press With the stylus. The software is in this video is CMAP. The tablet is a BOOX Tablet X running Android, and the computer as the video server is a Windows 11 PC.
As for the problem here–the stylus dropping things unintentionally–I have seen this in other cases, such as when I men to drag a file into another directory using windows explorer. The touchscreen works fine but the stylus doesn’t drag well.
Hi @alei69,
comparing different machine and different version makes absolutely no sense and can give no result.
Either you try same version on different machines (usually we only support newest version) or you try different versions on the same machine.
For connection problems on your Windows 11 Enterprise machine, please try the suggestions underneath “Troubleshooting -> Network Connection” chapter in the instruction manual https://manual.spacedesk.net/NetworkConnection.html
(Maybe third party firewall installed? Maybe VPN active? etc.)
If this does not help, then don’t hesitate to get back tu us again here.
I’m using a new Boox Tablet X with Android connecting to windows 11, and for the most part, spacedesk works well to use the boox as a monitor for the windows system. One thing that is a little glitchy, though is the stylus data. When I use the stylus, there are breaks in the lines that I try to draw, so that when I drag the stylus from point A to point B, the windows computer seems to think that I might have lifted up the stylus at C, D and E while en route to B. This actually makes even dragging a file icon into a folder rather difficult, since the drag tends to drop the file prematurely. How can I fix it?
hi all,
since the latest version, my network adapter show an IPV6 address instead of IPV4, and it’s impossible to connect to my ipad. If i disable IPV6, IPV4 appear in spacedesk, and the connection is ok. a solution or a fix please ? (i don’t want to disable ipv6)
thanks
Hi Christian, I just upgraded to 1.0.7.3 and the lag is pretty much gone and now I have 50+ fps. You can disregard my request for now. Thanks anyways
Hi @hermivore8151,
please do not step back to an old version! We fixed the bug in the new release of spacedesk Windows Driver. Please upgrade to BETA RC 1.0.73 from our download page http://www.spacedesk.net and let us know if this new version works for you.
