September 1, 2021 at 5:21 am in reply to: Is it possible to make spacedesk server listen to specific Interface only? #2127spacedesk LeaKeymaster
Hi @testcb00,
which interface do you want to restrict?spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @zonyl,
This feature is already available in the current spacedesk.
As of now, it will only work if Videowall is enabled.
On spacedesk Server window, please click the Settings button -> Video Wall Engine…
make sure to switch ON the Videowall then select the viewer connected on the left side tree view, then you will find a “Flipped Display (for mirroring)” check box on the right panel.
For assistance, please check Video Wall Configuration chapter in our user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @joel,
Thanks for the info.
Currently the viewer app is on extension mode, that’s why there’s no task bar and icons on the extension display.
Do you want to use spacedesk for Desktop Duplication? If yes, you can easily switch to mirror mode via display settings window of your primary machine.
In mirror/duplication mode, you will be able to mirror your primary display on your viewer app screen.
For assistance, please check Configuration and Settings -> Windows PC (Primary Machine) chapter on our user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @marcioramos,
Thanks for sending the requested logs.
It seems that you are installing an outdated spacedesk Driver (v0.9.33).
Please try to install our most recent spacedesk Driver v1.0.12 available on our website https://forum.spacedesk.net.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @ezams,
Please check if any of the following driver is still present on your primary machine, please run command prompt as administrator then type the following commands and check if status is RUNNING or STOPPED:
sc query ddkmd
sc query dlkmd
sc query FLxHCIv
sc query lci_proxykmd
sc query lci_proxywddmIf you get a RUNNING or STOPPED status then type this next command:
sc delete < servicename >
Then after executing all the necessary commands please reboot your primary machine and try again with spacedesk.

spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @mpl,
..so remote mouse and keyboard input are not working?
Is spacedesk videowall mode enabled? Were you able to use spacedesk on the setup you want to do with your tablet and Zoom app before?
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @joel,
What is your primary machine’s operating system? Windows 8.1/10?
Is the task bar on your primary machine visible if spacedesk is not connected?spacedesk LeaKeymaster..so a week later spacedesk viewer app cannot discover your primary machine anymore?
Are both primary machine and android tablet still connected on the same local area network?
Do you have any third party firewall software installed on either machine?
Do you maybe have VPN (Virtual Private Network) active? For assistance, please also check Troubleshooting – Network Connection chapter in our user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @djfix13,
What do you mean by unstable?
Does the viewer apps disconnecting randomly?spacedesk requires at least 100Mbps network bandwidth to get a reasonable performance.
can I use a wifi AC network (wifi 5) or do I need to install an AX network (wifi 6)?
It’s up to your preference, just make sure that both your primary machine and tablet devices are connected on the same local area network.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @marcioramos,
For further analysis, could you please send us the following:
– run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
– spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
– setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INFPlease save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @maestro,
Yes, the description already does what it says, it will hide the spacedesk icon in the task bar not in the system tray area.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @maestro,
Please click the Settings button then select “Hide taskbar icon”, so the next time your click the close button, the dialog window will be hidden in the task bar.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @mpl,
To switch to mirror mode, just open the display settings window on your primary machine then on “Multiple displays” dropdown menu, just select the “Duplicate” option.
For assistance, please check the Configuration and Settings -> Windows PC (Primary Machine) chapter in our user manual.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @bilbo8333,
To set a custom number in the box, you have to click the up or down arrow to increment or decrement the values (you have to be patient on this one in order to get the desired value and please also take note that it will not accept any odd number values). As for eliminating the flashing X, just click the Touch Off in the Functionality tab, I assume you are not using touch screen input in your case.
FYI: The “X” button found on upper right corner of windows viewer when in full screen mode + touch enabled is currently
intended for Windows (Surface) tablet that don’t have keyboard attached and no way to exit from full screen mode.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @leefedex,
Thanks for sending your dxdiag info.
It seems that you have splashtop WiredX Display driver installed on your primary machine.
spacedesk and splashtop’s Virtual Display driver cannot coexist with spacedesk driver.
On Splashtop Wired XDisplay Agent window -> Advanced, just uninstall the Virtual Display driver.
spacedesk should work now after you uninstall this driver.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @bilbo8333,
Thanks for the video.
For the first instance viewer, once you set the first resolution of the viewer (which in your case is the native screen resolution 1680×1050) just connect first before opening another viewer instance then set your next desired screen resolution and so on until the 4th viewer instance.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @bontle,
The error notification indicates that you have a DisplayLink driver on your primary machine.
Do you have any USB pluggable display software installed on your primary machine which is probably using DisplayLink driver)?spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @bilbo8333,
You can set each custom resolution of the viewer app via Settings -> Resolutions -> Other Screen Resolution before connecting the viewer app.
And once connected, you can correct the screen resolution of each screen on your primary machine’s display settings window.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @mpl,
..so you want to use the spacedesk viewer on your samsung tablet as mirror display? and not as extension display? Is that correct?spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @alejandro-k,
To further analyze this issue, please download the spacedesk diagnostic script here, then extract it.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/z8h5llgi8c2ig3g/2021_spacedeskDiagnosticTool.zip?dl=0Inside you will find spacedeskDiagnosticTool.cmd, just right-click it then run as administrator.
This script will start a debug view app to capture spacedesk debug traces.
On step 5 it will prompt you to reproduce the issue (by connecting the viewer app and wait for the issue to happen), make sure to do this before pressing any key to continue.
After the script is done, a folder will be created on the same folder as the script file which contains various log files that we need for analysis.
Please right-click it -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @emiszero,
Is this the first time you install spacedesk?
Or do you already have an older version of spacedesk Driver on your primary machine? For further analysis, could you please send us the following:
– run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
– spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
– setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INFPlease save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @bilbo8333,
Yes, it’s possible.
Just use our current spacedesk Windows Viewer App for Windows 7 v0.9.30 from our website and run 4 instances of the viewer app and put it on each of your monitors then connect to the IP address of your primary machine (laptop).spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @myron,

Not sure if this will make any difference, but please try to disable both cellular and wifi then re-enable the wifi only and reconnect to the network?August 25, 2021 at 8:39 am in reply to: Space desk connects and works fine but then days later won’t find server #1983spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @psyko,
I have tried reinstalling, resetting, switching everything on and off again, nothing works.
Did you do these on both android viewer app and spacedesk Driver on Windows 10?
Did you already tried restarting the spacedeskService on services.msc on Windows 10?
Do you have third party firewall software on your primary machine and/or android device?
Do you maybe have VPN (Virtual Private Network) active?Could you please also try to disable the Settings -> Connection -> Automatic Server Discovery, then try to enter the IP address manually?
What is the current network connection on your Windows 10 primary machine? Wired or Wireless?
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @armor00,
Thanks for the input and dxdiag info.
It seems that it’s a network discovery issue in our iOS viewer app which occasionally happens on some iOS device.
We don’t know yet the root cause since we still cannot reproduce this issue on our side.
We have received similar bug reports from various users before.
Is your non working iPad Pro 12.9 has cellular or wifi only?August 25, 2021 at 3:32 am in reply to: can I use 2 remote viewers and laptop for 3 monitor setup? #1977spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @matewar,
Currently, this feature is not available on spacedesk.
We can only do an ultrawide monitor setup with spacedesk displays only (primary monitor not included) via Videowall Engine user interface.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @armor00,
The none-working iPad is able to discover the windows device with other apps, and manually adding IP in spacedesk always stuck at IP validation.
What do you mean by “windows device with other apps”?
..so it cannot discover the spacedesk server, right?
..so the non working iPad has the latest iOS beta version.. is it possible to downgrade it to non beta version e.g. 14.7?For further analysis, could you please send us the dxdiag info of your primary machine?
Just run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @gab_ozo12312323,
Thanks for sending the diagnostic logs.
Remote touch input will not work if Video wall mode is enabled.
Please disable it first on Videowall Engine user interface before trying the absolute touch input.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @francyfre,
No Apple version for spacedesk Driver, and currently no plans to develop it.
We only support Windows 8.1/10/11 operating system primary machine for our spacedesk Driver/Server.
You can only use your Apple device as secondary machine using our viewer apps (iOS/HTML5).spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @myron,
Thanks for the feedback.
Can you please also try with YUV444 encoding color depth (without the task manager or any screen activity in spacedesk display) then let us know if you can still reproduce the issue.August 24, 2021 at 9:59 am in reply to: Bluescreen when connecting: driver_irql_not_less_or_equal #1964spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @jw,
Thanks for confirmation.
As for the non working remote control, is videowall mode enabled?spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @dah,
Could you please check if your tablet device’s settings and spacedesk viewer settings both have auto-rotation enabled?
If possible please also send a screenshot of this issue.- This reply was modified 3 years, 2 months ago by spacedesk Lea.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @multi-cat,
Thank you very much for sending the diagnostic logs.
Could you please try our most recent spacedesk Driver v1.0.11 and spacedesk Android viewer app v0.9.75.
Looking forward to you feedback.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @bwmoynier1,
spacedesk Driver/Server msi installer is only available to download from our website.
We don’t have it in Microsoft Store. We only have the spacedesk Viewer app in the Microsoft Store.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @imtek,
It seems that this noisy pattern is happening outside spacedesk screen image processing.
Even the Window’s print screen cannot capture it too..
We are now convinced that there’s a third party app on your machine that is messing up with the connected spacedesk screen. Can you tell us some of your software (e.g. 3D apps) currently running while connecting a spacedesk viewer?
We also noticed you have a third party app for your Start menu button, can you tell us what software it is?spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @click4time,
spacedesk should work over Access point.
It does not require internet connection, only local area network is needed between primary and secondary machine.Could you please tell us how did you setup the access point?
And please send us the following info:
Primary Machine
– operating system (Windows 8.1/10)?
– graphics adapter (AMD/Intel/Nvidia)
– network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)Secondary Machine
– Viewer type (Android/iOS/Windows/HTML5)
– network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @myron,
Can you check if this only happens when there’s no screen activity on spacedesk viewer screen?
Can you please try to open a task manager window and put it on the spacedesk display so there’s a continuous screen activity on spacedeks display then leave the PC for few minutes and check if it will also disconnect. What is the current quality/performance (Encoding color depth, Custom FPS, Rendering Color depth) settings on your spacedesk Android Viewer app?
August 24, 2021 at 2:06 am in reply to: [Feature Request] HTML5 Viewer as Chrome-App without URL bar #1951spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @jw,
Thank you very much for the suggestion. This is noted and I will forward it to our developer.
As of now improvements in HTML5 viewer has the lowest priority.
We haven’t done any changes on it for a very long time now as we are more focused on improving our native viewer apps instead.August 24, 2021 at 1:59 am in reply to: [Feature Request] Connect to localhost in Windows viewer #1950spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @jw,
Can you tell us why do you need localhost connection in windows viewer app?
Currently, we only allow it on HTML5 viewer.
Maybe we can consider supporting it on our windows viewer app but will not be available anytime soon.
We are currently very busy with higher prioritized features and bug fixes.FYI: spacedesk will still perform image compression and decompression even in local host connection.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @rowan,
Please follow the uninstall procedure on our user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/
to properly remove spacedesk.spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @armor00,

Please try the latest spacedesk Driver v1.0.11 released on the website.
The blue screen crash upon HTML5 viewer connect should be fixed on this version.Looking forward to your feedback.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @elder,
Based on your dxdiag info, you have splashtop virtual display installed on your primary machine.
On Splashtop Wired XDisplay Agent window -> Advanced, just uninstall the Virtual Display driver.
spacedesk should work now after you uninstall this driver.August 20, 2021 at 9:45 am in reply to: Bluescreen when connecting: driver_irql_not_less_or_equal #1925spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @jw,

– most recent dump file (*.dmp) of your BSOD with spacedesk which is located in C:\Windows\minidump folder.- This reply was modified 3 years, 3 months ago by spacedesk Lea.
spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @brad_sask,
Thanks for the input.
Auto-rotation is still not yet implemented/handled in our Windows 10 viewer app.
This might be the only solution to fix the rotation issue on your side.
We will check with our developer if this missing feature will be available anytime soon. -
