Hi @seo,
Current spacedesk Driver BETA v1064 (for Windows 10/11) supports up to 16 viewer connections (with native Android/iOS/Windows viewer app).
Hi @jharris1993,
Have you already tried to only check the “Use native android device resolution” in the spacedesk Viewer Settings -> Resolution?
I use spacedesk for my streaming setup. When I play games there is a problem with stutters even though the fps is stable. This is apparently a known issue with different displays with no matching refreshrates.
Would it be possible to set the refreshrate higher? Ultimately the android device only gets images sent does it not?
I have two 120hz, so would it be possible to set the hz to 120 on the driver as well?
Also for my needs I only need about 15 fps max on my tablet. Could we please also set a lower capture rate to sent over?
Two laptops, both on windows 10, are connected to the same WiFi network, the box is checked on the server, but the client does not see it! I tried to manually enter the IP address that is specified in the application on the server, but does not find it. Neither in manual nor in automatic mode does not see: (((((
I ran the old msi V1062 to uninstall the driver. Installing V1064 msi failed. Then went through the workaround steps to totally clear V1062. Installed V1064 using the new msi. With all monitors (both hdmi AND spacedesk) up and running, I worked with system for about 1 hour. At that point I performed a regular uninstall – reinstall process for V1064 as per your instructions. IT WORKED! Did not have to even reboot the computer. So it seems the issue is fixed.
Congrats and thank you for your tenacity and attention to detail.
I am using the windows 10 viewer from the app store. Didn’t know there was a windows 7 viewer.. I will give that a go. Thanks!
Hi @tartiak22,
We just released a new spacedesk Driver v1064 on the website.
It includes a potential fix for the spacedesk switching OFF after videowall connectivity.
Please check if it solves the issue on your side.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Hi @bkchng,
Thanks for the feedback.
Are you using the spacedesk Windows 10 Viewer from the Microsoft Store?
Or the spacedesk Windwos 7 Viewer (Desktop Version 0.9.39) from the website?
Hi @lobodelcaribe,
We just released a new spacedesk Driver v1064 on the web.
It includes a potential bug fix for the uninstallation issue.
Just do the complete uninstallation of the previous version (using the old msi) first then install this new version.
From there, please check the uninstallation-installation process using v1064 msi if it will work properly now on your side (without the work around steps above).
Looking forward to your feedback.
What is current resolution in the attached screenshot? 1920 x 1200 (I chose native option)
What is your tablet’s native screen resolution? 1920 x 1200
Is the screenshot showing the extension or mirrored display? Extension
What is the native screen resolution of your primary monitor? 3840 x 2400
What is the operating system of your tablet device? Android/iOS/Windows? Windows 10 Home
I don’t have a problem with using my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, not my iPad, as secondary screens. It’s just this Windows tablet that is a problem.
Hi, I’m using a Windows 10 tablet as a secondary display. The screen hardware supports up to 1920 x 1200 resolution.
The display unfortunately looks very distorted (everything looks much flatter than they should be) on that secondary display, even though I’ve tried various settings such as using the native resolution, or changing the resolution manually. You can look at my attached screenshot to see how it looks like.
Would someone be able to assist? Thanks!
Yes M1 prrocessors from Apple are ARM64.
Too bad for me 🙁
thank you for your support !
Hi Lea,
thank you for your support 🙂
C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskService.exe
C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskServiceTray.exe
C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskConsole.exe
I have no such files
No spacedeskService in Services.msc
In attachement the requested logs.
It appears that the install is totally incomplete but the setup installs seamlessly without problems or warning.
Since yesterday, I reinstalled totally windows 11 and tried again with same result.
I hope we will find a fix, spacedesk is so nice !
I had 2 direct USB clients (both Galaxy Tab SM-T290 tablets running on the latest Android 11 with current updates) and 1 network client (an older Nexus 7 tablet running on Android 5.1.1 that connects over a 2.4Gb network, still very decent response). I have 2 additional external monitor connected through the laptop’s Intel Iris graphics adapter.
I should have clarified my experience with device manager’s leftovers. I realize that is not an accurate description. On a previous uninstall that I had to force finish and after rebooting, the device manager showed an entry for the spacedesk virtual Bus. I just removed it then and have made an habit of checking any trace of spacedesk remains. In my last uninstall/upgrade, besides the monitors I did not encounter any other refrences to spacedesk.
Im trying to connect my phone to my pc with a USB cable, as i do not have access to wifi.
When I plug my phone in, nothing happens, there is nothing to connect to in the app.
I have activated the Android USB cable driver on my computer.
Im using a 64-bit Windows 10 machine, and a Oneplus 6 running android 11.
On the USB Preferences in my phone, I have selected the File Transfer option.
When i turn on the Android USB cable driver on my desktop the USB preferences on my phone jumps to “No data transfer”. I cannot select File Transfer again until I turn off the Android USB Driver.
I dont know if this is supposed to happen, but i think this may be the issue.
I have tried restarting my PC and my phone multiple times but it has not worked.
Hi @lobodelcaribe,
We just updated the Troubleshooting Uninstall chapter of the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_517
Product code for v1060 msi is now available, please check.
Thank you Lea. I did not communicate correctly. The product code I am looking for is for v1.060.
Thank you Sara. I am with you 100%. Backing up is always advisable, even more so when working with beta software. Yes, because of the unique product code of each new spacedesk installation, none of the ones available in the documentation corresponds to V1.060, which is the one I am looking for to totally remove from my machine. It is better than trying to go raw into the Windows register, as I did once.
Hi @lobodelcaribe,
Product code for v1057 is available in Troubleshooting Uninstall chapter of the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_517
TO respond to your question, I tried issuing a stop spacedeskservice but the Here is an update. I finally decide to go the very painstaking way and remove every single entry reference for spacedesk in the windows registry. That finally allowed me t reinstall v1.057. After a couple of days, one of the tablets connected via USB stopped working (just black screen with a menu icon on the right). I noticed that there is a new version of the console, V1.060. I uninstalled V1.057 using it’s msi file and installed the new version. Still, a black screen on the tablet. Uninstalled V1.060 using its own Msi and tried installing again. Now we are back to square one. The installation failed. Again going through the regular end user process but to no avail. Please see all the steps I took with V1.057 and that is what I have now done with V1.060. The uninstall process seems to leave an orphan entry of spacedeskService.
I hope this may help you to try to pinpoint the issue. It is just not safe for the general user to poke around with the registry to get rid of an improperly uninstalled software
Hi @switchplay7149,
Good to hear that it worked.
In case you encounter any issues with spacedesk just let us know.
We are always glad to receive user feedback.
OK, I deleted your previous screenshot.
Hi @switchplay7149,
Thanks for sending the reg file.
Please follow the steps below:
– Go to C:\Users\christian.ertl\AppData\Roaming\BetterDiscord\plugins and copy the spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1050_BETA.msi there.
– Extract the *.reg file inside the regedit-data-modified.zip which I attached, double click it to merge in your registry.
It’s the same reg file you sent I just added “PackageName” and set it to “spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1050_BETA.msi” in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer
\Products\325F9F2F024C6954BB7A89B74FE05538\SourceList
– Then go back to C:\Users\christian.ertl\Downloads\spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate where spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1050_BETA.msi is located and right-click the get_trace.bat and run as Administrator.
– If the “Remove” button is available please try to click it.
Otherwise, proceed with installation, then run again the msi and uninstall it via “Remove”.
-If it still fails, please send us the updated spacedeskmsi_trace file.
Hi @switchplay7149,
I see.. looks like System Restore point is broken.
Next to try:
– Run “regedit” on your primary machine
– go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes
\Installer\Products\325F9F2F024C6954BB7A89B74FE05538
– then right-click the “325F9F2F024C6954BB7A89B74FE05538” registry key, select “Export”
– Save the exported *.reg file in a folder then zipped it and send it to us.
Using the last spacedeskmsi_trace.txt you sent, is “spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1050_BETA.msi” still in C:\Users\christian.ertl\Downloads\spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate folder?
Hi @mripadwall,
I see…
Our iOS developer will look into it.
Usually this behavior only happens in iOS9/10 which are not supported anymore.
Ok, I have done that. When it was executed, after minutes I got this error message in German. It says that the system restore did not run successfully and the computer’s system files and settings were not changed, so it did not work. The details of the failure were that the file could not be extracted from the restore point and that there was an unknown error in the system restore. I searched for the error code (0x8007045b) and as a workaround they said to follow the steps on the page (https://learn.microsoft.com/de-de/troubleshoot/windows-client/backup-and-storage/system-restore-fail-error-0x8007045b) to restart Windows RE. This should fix the problem and I can run System Restore without any problems. However, I cannot get into the Recovery Environment. Have tried numerous methods (https://www.ubackup.com/windows-11/windows-11-recovery-environment.html) except the last two to get into RE, all of which have failed. Do you have any idea what I should do in the idea?

Hi @kadiya,
Could you please check if your current graphics adapter has WDDM version below than 2.0.
Just run dxdiag.exe, click Display tab and check for WDDM version.
For more info please refer to “Windows 11/10 Desktop Duplication (mirror) option not available” chapter in the
https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_484
I’m installed Spacedesk v1.0.57 on Win 11 22h2. Unfortunately can’t duplicate the display.
If anyone knows how to duplicate the display please help me.
Thank you for the information regarding the older iPad 2’s. If that is the case, I am a little sad because your app home page states iPadOS 9.3 or later which gives the impression that the iPad 2 hardware would be compatible as long as it can run 9.3.5.
But also, it doesn’t really explain why installing the space desk app on an iPad Pro 12.9 1st gen (iPadOS 16) only installs spacedesk app version 1.0.49 which isn’t listed within the version history on the app’s home page. Shouldn’t this iPad model be able to install the most recent spacedesk app version 1.62 ? This IPad is also not managed and is just a fresh install from the app store.
Hi @lobodelcaribe,
Thanks for sending the requested files.
Based on the logs, there’s a failed uninstallation of spacedesk Service.
The specified service has already been marked for deletion. This will require a PC reboot to complete the uninstallation.
Please try again the “Remove” option in v1057 msi then reboot.
Afterwards, try again the installation.
Hi Lea, thank you for your response.
Yes, I tried simple uninstall through Control Panel.
I also tried uninstalling using the msi installer. As a matter of fact, after running the remove option of V1.057, I tried each of the previous msi installation packages that I ever had installed and upgraded and that at the time were working on my laptop.
The versions I had were: 0.993, 1.018, 1.035, 1.047, and the current one, 1.057. Surprisingly, none of them install properly any more (same error). Each time, I ran the remove option afterwards, rebooted and tried the next one.
Version 1.035 was the last version before the upgrade to Windows 11 and migrated without issues.
Always uninstalled previous version using msi before installing new one.
Attached the files you requested
Hi @zptc,
Yes, it should work.
As long as spacedesk Driver is already installed in your primary machine.
If you are connecting the spacedesk tablet over the network, also make sure that both primary machine and tablet are connected on the same local area network.
If your tablet is Android, you can also tried a direct Android USB cable connection with the latest spacedesk Driver v1057.
Hi @lobodelcaribe,
Have you tried just the simple uninstallation via Windows Control Panel, then reboot?
Or uninstall using the original old version of the msi installer?
What is the previous version spacedesk installed in your primary machine before you update to Windows 11 and to spacedesk v1057?
For further analysis, could you please send us the following files:
– run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
– spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
– setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
Please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.
Hi @postbuzz,
Thank you very much for the suggestion.
Any updates in spacedesk Windows 10 Viewer will not be available anytime soon.
If you like you can use the Windows 7 (desktop version v0.9.39), this viewer at least does not have the pop-up notification upon exiting from remote control.
Hi @mripadwall,
Probably because Apple officially does not support updates nor installs of new apps on the below mentioned old devices and operating systems any more.

Hi @hww,
Can you please verify the following:
1. Check if you can find these files in your primary machine:
C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskService.exe
C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskServiceTray.exe
C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskConsole.exe
2. Check if spacedeskService is running.
Just run “services.msc”, find spacedeskService and check if the status is “Running”.
3. Check in your taskbar’s notification area if spacedesk tray icon is visible.
Please check the attached screenshot.
Hello Spacedesk Support,
My current setup before I ask the question:
28 iPad wall clients – iPad 2 models (iOS 9.3.5) running the Space Desk Multi Monitor app Version 1.0.44
1 PC Server – Windows 10 running Spacedesk Driver console “Beta RC Version 1.0.57
I just have an issue updating the spacedesk iPad app. I can not get it to install the latest version 1.62. I have even tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app but it will only install version 1.44 on the iPad 2’s. Is this the highest spacedesk version this iPad model can handle?
Thinking that it was a limitation of the old iPad 2 model, I tried installing the spacedesk app on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch running iPadOS 16. This iPAd Pro is completely separate from the wall and is not managed by any type of iPad MDM and it actually installs the space desk app version 1.0.49, which isn’t even listed on the versions list specified on the apps home page.
Another strange thing to mention regarding the iPad spacedesk app is that I use an iPad MDM called Mosyle to help manage all 28 iPad 2 models, and it thinks the SpaceDesk app installed are all version 1.58. It also notices that the app is considered “outdated” but 1.58 is also not listed on the apps home page. Plus, checking the app on the iPad itself it still shows 1.0.44. I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the app on the iPad 2 models but since 1.0.49 was a fresh install on the iPad Pro, I am pretty confused on what version I should be getting.
Thanks for your time.
Hi @switchplay7149,
Thank you very much for sending the trace log.
It seems that the installer immediately returns with 1610.
1610 is equivalent to ERROR_BAD_CONFIGURATION – The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel.
Could you please check if you have System Restore enabled (see the attached screenshot)?
And try to restore to an earlier point before you attempted v1057 (earlier than 2/2/2023 18:12:58).
Hi @hww,
Thanks for sending the requested files.
Based on the logs, spacedesk v1057 installation succeeded.
And you can find the spacedeskConsole.exe in C:\Windows\System32 directory.
Are you sure that the installer fails? Did it show any error message?
Can you please also send us the screenshot of the installer asking for spacedeskConsole?
Hi.
Yes, this time it was running for long period of time before crashing. But it changes all the time. Some time it crashes after an hour and some times it can run longer.
The last crash (after 13h) the MAWI server was not running only the Spacedesk and the monitors were connected . But I will have to double check it ( I am not the only one who operates this system ).
Thanks a lot for your help.
Hi @tartiak22,
Thank you very much for sending the diagnostic logs.
We are currently analyzing it.
Based on the logs, the issue happened after almost 13 hours of connectivity, is that right?
Is Audio also enabled while videowall is connected? If yes, can you also try without remote Audio and check if it will still switch off.
Are you sure MAWi server is not running when spacedeskService switched OFF?
Did you manually stop the MAWi service in the services.msc before trying to reproduce the issue?
hello; i tried to install spacedesk driver for windows11 and just before i run the app as administrator or (just open the app) it keeps asking for ( spacedeskconsole.exe) that i can not find on my computer
would you help me please!
Thank you!!
Hi @madds,
Thank you very much for sending the diagnostic logs.
Based on the logs, there’s a continuous failure to receive the acknowledgement packets from the viewer app which triggers the spacedesk disconnection.
Possible reason is unstable network connection between your primary machine and iPad device.
Not sure if this will help, but can you please try to switch your current Network profile to “Private”.
To set, open the Windows Settings -> Network & Internet -> properties of the current network, then select Private underneath Network Profile.
If the above suggestion did not help, please try connecting over WiFi Direct/Hotspot.
For assistance, please check the Performance tuning -> Network Bandwidth -> Wifi Direct / Wifi Hotspot / Wifi Access Point chapter in the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_510.
Hi @vilo,
We are glad that it’s working now on your side.
Just for your info (about the error you encountered): looks like the spacedeskService was hanging on #2 (upon switching ON is console app).
So when you first tried to update to latest version 1057, the msi uninstalls the hanging spacedeskService which requires a reboot (based on the logs) which you didn’t do (because I assume there’s no prompt message) and that’s why it cannot install the new spacedeskService and triggers an installation error.
In case you encounter again the spacedeskService hang (where spacedesk Driver console cannot switch back ON), just let us know so that we can analyze it.
Hi @switchplay7149,
I see… that might be the problem..
Uninstalling via registry editor is not recommended (for advanced users only).
Next, please send us the msi trace during uninstallation using the v1050 msi.
Please use the spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate.zip from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vr17lj6n63k52rh/2022_spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate.zip?dl=0,
copy the v1050 msi installer inside the folder, then right-click (-> run as administrator) the get_trace.bat and enter the v1050 msi file name and try to uninstall/remove again so that it will generate a new spacedeskmsi_trace.txt, then please send it to us.
Hi @stefano-p,
Then in your case, desktop duplication is disabled because of Windows limitation as per our details in the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netdt-documentation/troubleshooting/known-issues-problems-and-limitations/windows-10-desktop-duplication-mirror-option-not-available/.
It’s either you upgrade your current video card to a newer model OR downgrade from GeForce 610M to Microsoft Basic Display (which we don’t strongly recommended).
Using Microsoft Basic Display as your graphics adapter might cause some issues during desktop image updates (e.g. trailing windows, left over images, screen flickering, etc.).
Hi @ace172,
I guess, if it works now on your side.. no need to post a new logs.
Unfortunately my WDDM is 1.3, with last updated Nvidia driver…
Hi @stefano-p,
Only if your graphics adapter is old with WDDM version below than 2.0.
You can check it on your machine by running “dxdiag.exe”, go to Display tab and check the WDDM version of your display driver.
This is not the case in @ace172’s machine, his graphics adapter is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with WDDM 2.7 version.
I found this:
Desktop duplication of primary monitor to other displays is disabled in Windows display settings of Windows 10 with old version of graphics adapter (< WDDM 2.0). Just download the latest driver version from its website OR if it did not work try to downgrade the graphics driver to Microsoft Basic Display driver via device manager.
https://forum.spacedesk.netdt-documentation/troubleshooting/known-issues-problems-and-limitations/windows-10-desktop-duplication-mirror-option-not-available/
my laptop use a GeForce 610M.
Could be WDDM the cause of my issue?
thanks a lot
