    Hi @looping,
    Thank you very much for sending the diagnostic logs.
    It seems that there’s a connection time out, this usually happens during temporary network connection loss, and there’s nothing we can do to fix your network.
    Maybe enabling the Auto-reconnect on your spacedesk viewer app settings might help in this case.

    Hi @wastanley,
    I assume your primary machine is either Windows 7 or 8.1, right?
    FYI: spacedesk Driver Console window -> Diagnostics is only available for Windows 10/11 primary machine.

    To get the diagnostic logs for Windows7/8.1 machine, please download the spacedesk diagnostic script here, then extract it.

    Inside you will find spacedeskDiagnosticTool.cmd, just right-click it then run as administrator.
    This script will start a debug view app to capture spacedesk debug traces. If there’s a pop-up message from DebugView, just press “Agree” to proceed.

    On step 4 it will prompt you to reproduce the issue (by connecting the viewer app and wait for the issue to happen), make sure to do this before pressing any key to continue.

    After the script is done, a folder will be created on the same folder as the script file which contains various log files that we need for analysis.
    Please right-click it -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.

    I re-installed Spacedesk and now I’m running version 1.0.35. I am, however, getting the same error.

    I’m not sure what you mean about the diagnostics. On the main computer with the driver console, there is a dialog box that only has a Settings option in the top left. When I select that, I can toggle the function ON and OFF or choose Windows Display Control Panel…, Clear All Display Settings, or Hide taskbar icon.

    Where would I find the diagnostic option?

    OK, XenceLabs updated their driver today and one fix in that driver (see attached image) was an application crash when too many displays were connected. So that must be the issue. Nothing to do with SpaceDesk–case closed!

    – run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
    – spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
    – setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF

    Please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.

    Yes – spacedesk is acting as an additional display monitor. Thus it can be set to Desktop Duplication (mirror) and Desktop Extension. Please check the instruction manual https://spacedesk.net/user-manual/ Look at chapters “CONFIGURATION AND SETTINGS”->”Primary Machine”->”Desktop Extension or Desktop Duplication (mirror) Settings…”.

    Downloded driver for primary computer, an Asus 2N1, and the app for my kindle fire with the intention of having a second screen to send another app, like an email client or browser for research, not a duplicate/mirror of my primary computer screen. Is Spacedesk capable of that?

    I can’t reproduce the problem. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled both applications and updated the android client with the latest version that just came out. I now have SpaceDesk server 1.0.35 running and everything appears fine. I used to get a BEX crash for the Xencelabs driver application, see attachment, but for the first time in weeks that didn’t happen now. I have attached an image of the Xencelabds driver application’s program folder as well with files. It uses some sort of QT interface toolkit. Just curious if you have any ideas of what might have caused the crashes.

    Could you please send us the spacedesk diagnostic logs during Xencelabs driver crash.
    – open spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics
    – Diagnostic Collection ON
    – connect a viewer app to reproduce the Xencelabs driver crash
    – Diagnostic Collection OFF
    – Save All Information
    PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.

    If problem still persist, can you further describe the problem on your side?
    Is it a discovery issue? Error code upon connect? Display Off?

    spacedesk is currently using JPEG Image compression and it’s a lossy compression which means that the quality of image will be reduced after compression.

    You said “It used to work earlier”. How much earlier was that?
    Earlier than October 2021 when spacedesk Android client started supporting multitouch?
    Earlier than March 2021 when spacedesk Android client started to support pressure sensitive stylus pen?

    I am using my Samsung Galaxy A50s to mirror my laptop’s screen using Spacedesk. It works fine, but there is something wrong with the color output sent by the Windows driver to my phone. The colors on my phone are coming a little different from the source color. You won’t notice any visual difference, but when I use the pixel picker on my phone, I can see the difference.

    For example:

    Red (#ff0000) will be outputted on my phone as (#fe0000).

    Here you have a link for that older version from which you are trying to upgrade to 1.0.35 based on what I read there is or was some bug in the installer that it needed older installer to uninstall the older version and installer newer one. So if it asks again for file “spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v109_BETA.msi” download the older installer of the version you are trying to replace. I’m including you official link to that older installer so it can uninstall that older version https://spacedesk.net/downloads/spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v109_BETA.msi

    spacedesk Viewer for Windows 10 (Microsoft Store) and Viewer for Windows 7 (Desktop) do not support local host.
    There are no plans to do so in the future.

    First we need to analyze if your problems could be related to spacedesk in any way at all (which is actually very unlikely). Please send us the following:
    – run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
    – spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
    – setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF

    Please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.

    I need help, urgently! Hello good since I installed spacedesk in my system I left it almost invalid, every time I try to uninstall this program a file of this was left which is affecting my system, I formatted the computer and even in the system 32 folder there are traces of it help me to eliminate them Please as soon as I open streamlabs the graph collapses 🙁

    I wouldn’t mind if 16:9 resolutions would just have black bars so the image is not stretched that’s how it behaves when spacedesk server software is running on Windows 10. BTW my iPads native resolution is 2360×1640 and acording to Aspect Ratio Calculator it has 59:41 aspect ratio.

    Hi @andy,

    Is it a blue screen (BSOD) crash on your primary machine?
    If yes, please send us the diagnostic logs via spacedesk Driver Console app -> Diagnostics -> Save All Information.
    Please also include the most recent *.dmp files (up to 3 files if available) located in C:\Windows\Minidump folder, then save it on the same diagnostic folder.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then send the *.zip file to this email address – AndroidApp@spacedesk.ph.

    @lea Yes, 1920×1080 was marked. As I already said I this looks like some kind of conflict between Windows 11 and Spacedesk, because on Windows 10 it was working just fine, I even tried it one more on computer with Windows 10 before posting this issue since it was working fine with Windows 10 i then tried it once more on Windows 11 and you guessed it image was stretched again.

    Hi @natanrufino,

    Native USB cable connection is not supported by spacedesk.

    BUT if your android tablet supports USB tethering, you can use your USB cable to establish a direct network connection between you android tablet and primary machine.

    Another option is the Android Debug Bridge Cable connection, this requires Android SDK platform tools downloaded on your primary machine.

    For instruction, you can check Performance tuning -> Network Bandwidth -> USB tethering or Android Debug Bridge Cable chapter in the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/.

    Hi! So, I was unable to install the Spacedesk software and I did not have it on my “system tray”. Well, I followed the earlier instructions and I after rebooting I was finally able to install it and use it. Thank you very much!

    Now, let me just ask you that… is it possible to use USB connections between android tablet and notebook so that I could improve the operation? Maybe to eliminate some delay or lag?

    Hi @natanrufino,

    Is spacedesk tray icon visible on your task bar’s notification area?
    If yes, you can click it to open the spacedesk SERVER window / Console window, there you will find the current version on your machine.
    OR you can check the C:\WINDOWS\System32\spacedeskServiceTray.exe -> right-click Properties -> Details tab -> File version.

    Hi @burntsea,

    Please make sure that you have the most recent spacedesk Driver version from the website https://forum.spacedesk.net.

    You can easily verify if spacedesk SERVER is installed correctly via:
    – search for spacedesk Driver Console, open the window and check if spacedesk status is ON
    – run services.msc, find spacedeskService if status is Running

    It seems that uninstalling the old spacedesk HID driver is hanging.
    This is a known issue in our older version, as a work around, please try to manually uninstall the old spacedesk Driver version on your primary machine before installing the latest version 1035.

    PS: Please make sure you do the Step 4: Uninstall spacedesk virtual HID Device (for Windows 10 only).

    Hi @tipek360,
    In case of mirroring your primary monitor to spacedesk viewer, you can try this on your spacedesk iOS Viewer Settings -> Resolution, enable the “Use custom resolution” and select 1920×1080, then disable the “Use native iOS device resolution”.

    I don’t know if it’s the same thing with me, but my spacedesk stopped working too. I have been trying to install it again but it gets stuck on the instalation window….

    Can somebody confirm if this happens on their devices, because I want to know if this is just my issue or it’s bug in spacedesk.

    Edit: just tested this using my android phone and it also happens on it so it looks like spacedesk bug

    Based on the diagnostic logs, it seems that there’s a connection time out.

    And we also noticed that you have two kinds of antivirus software on your primary machine – PC Matic Super Shield and Total AV.
    Could you please check if those two antivirus software has its own exception list settings so that you can add “C:\Windows\system32\spacedeskService.exe” to allow incoming and outgoing connection on both Private/Public network profile.

    Based on the logs you have McAfee Firewall software on your primary machine.
    Please make sure that you add “C:\Windows\system32\spacedeskService.exe” in the exception list of your McAfee Firewall settings to allow incoming and outgoing connection on both Private/Public network profile.

    Hi @downstairsflier,

    This looks like a network connection lost, and there’s nothing we can do to fix your network.
    We will release a new spacedesk Driver (v1035) in the next few days and you can try the suggested workaround below to hopefully prevent the sudden disconnection issue (during network drop out)
    – enable Auto-reconnect on your spacedesk viewer app settings
    – set a disconnect delay for a specific period of time, enough so that the spacedesk server will not disconnect the viewer app immediately (upon network drop) and by the time the network connection resumes the spacedesk display remains connected.
    To set the disconnect delay, just run the spacedesk Driver Console -> Control -> Configuration.

    Which spacedesk Viewer (client app) platform are you using? Android, iOS, Windows 10 (Microsoft Store) or Windows 7 (Desktop)? Please let us know so we can inspect the problems which you are mentioning.
    Can you try a different spacedesk Viewer platform? Maybe another one (Android, iOS, Windows Store or Windows Desktop) works better for your needs? In case it does, please also let us know.

    I also met with some terrible situation. I have installed the latest version of Spacedesk for windows 10 one day ago and during its installation mp screen went black. When it came back, I found Disk D was almost cleared. I was terrified and I uninstall spacedesk immediately. I lost more than 200G data. These files are my important experiment materials and results, without them I can’t continue my research. I have tried to recover my data by some data recovery softwares, but the data recovered were almost broken, I can’t open it again. Hope for some help!

    i just did install 1.0.34 over 1.0.33 and got a bsod (see attached screenshot). after reboot i started the installation all over again and it went through the installation process without errors. so everything is fine but just to let you know.

    if you need further information i.e. log files you are welcome.

    Hi @ifen,

    We have a previous spacedesk users that verified that MS Flight Simulator does NOT support/recognize touchscreen input.
    And according to that user, it can only recognize mouse input from a remote display.

    We can only suggest either of the following:
    1. Use mouse touch which automatically activates on your second viewer connection.
    Current spacedesk’s touchscreen only supports in first spacedesk display, so on your first viewer app just activate touch screen first, then connect a second viewer app where you can move your flight simulator app and try to send the mouse touch input from there.

    2. Select relative touch input in your viewer app settings (the touch input will behave as mouse pad for your primary machine).

    If yes, do you have third party firewall software installed? Or VPN (Virtual Private Network active)?

    spacedesk connection over native android USB debugging is not supported.
    As an alternative you can try either of the following:
    – Android debug bridge cable (requires Android SDK installed on your primary machine)
    – USB tethering connection (if you android tablet supports USB tethering)

    Don’t worry! Thousands of spacedesk downloads daily (millions since 2014). There has never ever been a single verifyable report that spacedesk has ever done any damage to any files or Windows PC environment. In this case I assume that Windows has re-arranged your Desktop shortcuts and/or Desktop icons. Windows sometimes does this when it detects new display graphics adapters. Our engineers will contact you on Monday morning by email to help you find your files again.
