Hi @fredrik,
I would like to clarify these statements:
“Please also check in Windows display settings of the primary machine if the display has been detached.
If it is, set the display mode to extend or mirror/duplicate.”
-> Upon connecting the HTML5 viewer, do you see the spacedesk display in the Windows display settings of the primary machine?
-> If it is detached, set the display mode to extend or mirror/duplicate.
Hi @kostovite,
could you please try to re-install spacedesk viewer?
After installation, connect it to the server with no changes in display orientation in both devices and check if the issue is still reproducible.
Yes, the pen on the surface app work normally, but somehow inverse on the spacedesk. Do I need to provide any more specific details?
Hi @kostovite,
we were unable to reproduce the issue on our side.
Does the pen input work normally on the Surface device without the spacedesk Viewer app running?
Hi @xarispwner,
such setup might work.
You may use the HTML5 viewer on your ChromeOS device’s browser and
install the spacedesk legacy (Win8.1) driver on your Windows 8 laptop.
Hi @mairunar,
I checked the specs of the Mi TV Stick and it does support 1080p resolution.
But, does the TV itself support 1080p?
Our spacedesk viewer only detects the given native resolution and gives a list of available custom resolution smaller than the native.
Hi @scruff67,
it seems that you are trying to reinstall spacedesk.
Have you tried to reboot the machine before running the installer?
Hi @fredrik,
did you mean connecting spacedesk via the HTML5 viewer?
Have you tried to clear the browser cache?
Does the HTML5 viewer connect using a different browser?
Please also check in Windows display settings of the primary machine if the display has been detached.
If it is, set the display mode to extend or mirror/duplicate.
Hi @doney90,
did you mean to connect spacedesk by USB via a USB hub?
Is “USB Cable Android” enabled in the spacedesk Driver Console?
Does the connection work when it is plugged directly to the port?
Hi,
It has worked really fine in almost 8 month. I have a plug in browser in “Modern Browser” för Milestone Xprotect Smart Client. It stopped working. It does not work in MS Edge browser anymore.
I can connect in both browsers, reach the meny settings, but no desktop picture from server PC. I have upgraded Spacedesk server to ver 2.1.21
Both windows Defender is disabled. I run on a local ethernet, with dedicated IP adresses. I can ping the PC:s both ways. The Specedesk server says that it is connected.
The PC client is a Windows 10, ver 21H1, with Edge version 127.0.2651.98
Please se attached export config file from server program.
Looking forward for help ASAP.
Regards
Fredrik from Sweden
Hi @spcdsk_nicole
I have a similar issue using a Mi TV Stick – my TV has a resolution of 1920×1080 and spacedesk viewer doesn’t allow setting a resolution higher than 1280×720. Is there any patch in the work as I’m not really knowledgeable enough to fix it myself as amiga did?
Hi @uhh25,
please send us the following files:
– run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
– spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
– setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
Please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.
Hey I got this error when I tried to uninstall spacedesk. The error is “An error occurred while installing the Spacedesk driver. The installation will be stopped. Please restart your computer and run this setup again.” I have restarted my computer several times and it still doesn’t work. Is there any solution?
We have this on our radar and we want to support ARM. Like all other spacedesk functionality it will happen as soon as a corporate system integration customer will pay for it.
Hi @riyal2k69,
the issue does not seem to be related to spacedesk anymore.
Hi @kostovite,
what is the display orientation of the spacedesk display in the Windows display settings of HP ZBook 15 G2?
Is it set to Landscape (flipped)?
Hi @riyal2k69,
the issue seems to be a hardware issue and not related to spacedesk.
Is the new monitor a regular monitor or an Android TV?
I’ve tried everything, in display settings it shows “cannot detect any new display”. I’m only able to use my system on spacedesk but not on my monitor.
Hi @riyal2k69,
have you tried to extend to this new monitor?
Display modes e.g. mirror or extend can be switched using Windows display settings or display switch (Win+P).
For reference, please see the following topics of our user manual:
– Desktop Extension or Desktop Duplication (mirror) Settings in Display Control Panel
(https://manual.spacedesk.net/DesktopExtensionorDesktopDuplica.html)
– Desktop Extension or Desktop Duplication (mirror) Settings in Display Switch

Hi, I was using my laptop as my monitor with the help of spacedesk via ethernet cable. I bought a new monitor today and when I connect my pc to the monitor it shows no signal, I can only connect my pc to the laptop with spacedesk. Please help I’m panicking
Hi @landy,
which viewer app is being used (Android/iOS/Windows)?
Can the viewer app discover the primary machine?
Please send us the basic diagnostics – open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Click “Save All Information” button, wait for it to finish and send us the generated folder (zipped/compressed).
Thanks for responding.
Spacedesk is already allowed through the firewall, and have also tried the other solutions but its still not connecting to the LAN
Hopefully they can provide this soon. It’s been over a year since I’ve seen inquiries about it.
Spacedesk has been great otherwise. Extremely reliable.
Hi @landy
for connection issues, please try the tips of our user manual Troubleshooting chapter “Network Connection” topic (https://manual.spacedesk.net/NetworkConnection.html).
Currently, ARM64 devices with Copilot+PC specifications are continuously being released, and their sales volume is also steady enough to be ignored. In addition, many existing ARM64 devices are being used, including Surface products.
Spacedesk’s driver and server do not support ARM64. In addition, even UWP applications frequently crash. I think it is a problem to declare that you will not support ARM64 and not support it.
Windows 10 does not need to be supported. However, Windows 11 in the ARM64 environment must be supported. Please develop and release drivers + servers for ARM64 and UWP clients.
I’m on Windows 11, and spacedesk doesn’t connect to the LAN.
Hi @ilsyer,
does the Android viewer app still crash?
Maybe you could try to disable -> enable “USB Cable Android” option in the spacedesk Driver Console?
Hi @zanderil,
this is a Windows behavior – it either remembers the last display configuration or sets a new one based on available displays.
Please try to manually configure by setting the spacedesk display as the primary display via Windows display settings or via display switch (Win+P). For reference, please see our user manual chapter “Configuration and Settings” (https://manual.spacedesk.net/CONFIGURATIONANDSETTINGS.html).
Hi @javier,
Calibration might help with this issue.
On your Windows machine, search for “calibrate” and select the “Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input” result. Select the primary display and follow the instructions.
Btw, does the touch screen on the primary display work again after disconnecting spacedesk?
Hi @maxark68,
do you have both native resolution and custom resolution enabled on your viewer app?
If yes, then Windows could be using the custom resolution which is not a match to your tablet’s aspect ratio.
Three potential solutions:
1. In Windows display settings, identify the spacedesk display and select it. Change its resolution to the native resolution.
2. Select a different custom resolution on the viewer app. Custom resolution with a (*) mark indicates that it matches the tablet’s aspect ratio.
3. Disable custom resolution by unchecking the option on the viewer app. This is not a preferred suggestion as you may encounter the black bars again when you duplicate/mirror the main display and spacedesk display.
Hi @deep,
thank you very much for your inquiry about our spacedesk SDK (Software Development Kit).
spacedesk SDK is a B2B product (Business to Business) which is used by world leading medical device manufacturers, conference room equipment manufacturers, PC manufacturers and hardware manufacturers.
If this is the case, you may send an inquiry via email (info@spacedesk.net) with the corporate name and address and qualified contact data e.g. name, department, telephone etc.
Otherwise, it is not available to private users nor to non-profit organizations.
Hi @ivypolaris,
only Windows machines with 32/64-bit operating system can be spacedesk primary machines.
spacedesk driver can only be installed on Windows machines.
spacedesk viewer apps can be installed on Android/iOS/Windows devices.
For further details, please refer to our user manual “System Requirements” topic
(https://manual.spacedesk.net/SystemRequirements.html).
Hi @adam_plast,
yes, licensed or not, that is possible by extending the spacedesk display via the Windows display settings
and presenting to this display. Please refer to our user manual Configuration and Settings topic (https://manual.spacedesk.net/DesktopExtensionorDesktopDuplica.html) for further details.
Did you mean the pop-up window “spacedesk Non-Commercial Viewer connected”? This is expected to show for users who use the free version of the spacedesk Viewer app. If you wish to continue to use spacedesk as a free version, then minimizing the window is the only thing to do.
If the presentation needs a keyboard input from the spacedesk Android viewer app and
if it is connected via network/wireless, then it requires commercial license to enable password and security.
An alternative is to connect by USB cable where keyboard input is always allowed.
Hi @adam_plast,
spacedesk business license is not a subscription model.
You may purchase a license once for one concurrent connection.
For further details, please refer to:

– spacedesk Android viewer app Licensing menu
Good afternoon, I did not find accurate information in any of the descriptions, the SpaceDesk commercial tariff is distributed according to a subscription or one-time payment model?

I get this error when installing spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v2121 on my Windows 11 machine
To use other Android USB applications, turn OFF USB option on Windows PC in spacedesk Driver Console (you turned it ON before). Or uninstall spacedesk on Windows PC. Read instructions in spacedesk Driver Console (re-plug, restart, reboot) and instruction manual https://manual.spacedesk.net
Hi,
I’m using Spacedesk on my tablet but I also installed it on my Phone (Android).
The problem is that it prevent my phone to be seen in the storage section and to transfer files on my PC.
I’ve uninstalled it from the phone but it keeps showing a window asking for starting the app or not (see screenshot, in french sorry).
How can I remove it completely or get back the normal behavior of the phone when connected with USB?
Thanks for your help.
Hi @mohamedwaly,
To further analyze the issue, please send us the diagnostics.
Open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Follow the collection steps and send us the zipped folder.
In case the folder size exceeds 512KB, upload it in Dropbox/Google Drive/One Drive/etc. and send us a download link.
Welcome,
I use Spacedesk with Windows 10 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet. When I connect using a wifi connection, everything is normal. However, when I connect it via USB, it does not connect normally. The tablet can connect to the server, but the screen remains black. The touch function still works, indicating that there is a connection between the tablet and the computer. I tried many solutions, but I was not able to solve the problem. I did everything from restarting Windows and also the Samsung device and activating the file transfer, but nothing happened and the screen remains black???? . Can you help me? Thank you.
Hi @slagr,
spacedesk does not support Windows remote desktop.
Remote desktop feature is currently not included in our short term or long term plans.
Hello,
I’ve checked the settings you suggested and Mono Audio is not enabled. I’m receiving stereo audio through other apps on my iPhone, but all audio seems to be running through one channel when using spacedesk. It’s strange, as Windows recognizes the output as stereo, but I can pan audio left or right and the sound still comes through both channels.
Hi @zahy,
Please try the following:
– select File Transfer mode instead of charging mode on the Android device
– turn off USB debugging on the Android device
– restart the Android device
– restart the Windows machine
– different USB cable
– directly connect to a USB3.0 or USB2.0 port
If the above suggestions did not help, please send us the generated diagnostics folder to further analyze the issue.
Open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Follow the collection steps provided and send us the zipped folder.
In case the folder size exceeds 512KB, upload it in Dropbox/Google Drive/One Drive/etc. and send us a download link.
Hi @crodriguezefe-com,
In the Avast firewall settings, can you also add the port to be included in the exception list?
spacedeskService is using “28252” port, if you can possibly add this port, please try it and check if it will fix your problem.
¿ Alguna sugerencia ?
Gracias
Hello,
I use Spacedesk with Windows 11 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet. When I connect using wifi connection, everything is normal. However, when I connect it with USB, it doesn’t connect normally. The tablet can connect to the server, but the screen remains black. The touch function is still working, indicating that there is a connection between the tablet and the computer. I have tried various solutions but have not been able to solve the problem. Can you help me? Thank You.
Hi @misovicb,
the spacedesk Driver should be able to handle multiple client connections.
Were you not able to connect the two Android tablets?
Please download and install the latest spacedesk Driver v2.1.21.
Hi @jmusic,
the spacedesk virtual Speaker does not support mono channel.
Please check on the iPhone device if Mono Audio is enabled and if the left and right channels are balanced (Settings -> Accessibility -> Audio & Visual).
