Hi @firius2010gmail,
Currently the full comprehensive feature set of spacedesk is only available on Android Viewer.
This includes On-Screen-Keyboard and Multi-Touch you are asking about.
Eventually it will all become available on iOS, too. However, no official timeline yet.
I use spacedesk on my Ipad to connect with a windows PC, is there any way to see an virtual keyboard on the Ipad? y just can use the touch as mouse.
Thanks
Hi @mhofer,
Unfortunately, this is not possible.
spacedesk Driver is installing Device Driver Software.
Windows security architecture requires a specific privilege to install device drivers. This privilege is typically held by the admin.
So you either have to be admin or the admin has to assign this privilege to you.
Hi @zxxd1527,
Thank you very much for sending the requested logs.
Could you please try the most recent spacedesk Driver v1.0.37 on the website https://forum.spacedesk.net#download.
Hi @cartoonest,
Please check the Troubleshooting -> Network Connection chapter in the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_489.
If the problem still persist, could you please run spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostic -> Save All Information.
PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.
Hi @josemtoar,
For further analysis, could you please send us the following:
– run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
– spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
– setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
Please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

Scince the last update a haven’t been able to use it. I tried updating the driver but the updating window kept running forever without moving. Then I tried to uninstall it but it is the same: the uninstall window keeps moving without doing anything else. I also tried re-installing with no results. Then I tried the Revo Uninstaller and Microsoft problem solver (I saw that one on a thread here) but any of those worked niether. I am running Windows 11 and I just runt out of ideas on how to solve this problem.
my phone cant find primary machine in my laptop , i has updated it to the newest version and it doesn’t work
1st thing first, this is not an issue, just want to know about it.
I came to know about it and install it right away as soon as possible. As I run the Spacedesk app after installation it has suddenly increased monitors display brightness or contrast (I don’t know what…). And I realy-really-really-really like it. Everything is brighter now. Text, Pics, Vids… everything…
O want to know that it how did it happen…? Please, explain it to me…
Thank you in Advance…
Hi @keycookie17,
Please try to uninstall the previous version 1.0.33 via Troubleshooter program here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed
Run the “MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab”, select Uninstalling.
If “spacedesk Windows DRIVER” is not on the program list, just select “Not Listed” then paste the product code of spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1033_BETA.msi here: {A3F7D2C7-F3B2-40CD-B236-37BA2CDACA1D}
After that, please try again to install the latest spacedesk msi installer from the website.
Hi @rwoodland,
Version mismatch will be fixed in the next version release.
The error 2-5 can be caused by other things (e.g. Incompatible products detected) but definitely not because of version mismatch.
Could you please quickly check in the spacedesk Driver Console window -> Diagnostics -> Incompatible Software.
For assistance, please also check the Troubleshooting -> Windows PC (Primary Machine) chapter in the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/.
Hello,
I want to use spacedesk with my HUAWEI Matepad Pro with a non-HUAWEI laptop / PC.
(Therefore I am not able to install the native HUAWEI PC Manager).
As I have a corp. laptop, I habe to use software without admin right.
Is there a way to use deskspace this way or is it planned to integrate that way in a further release?
Kind regards,
Mario
I always get a previous installation. I have to click yes, otherwise the installation will be aborted. But when I click YES it doesn’t find the previous installation because I uninstalled it earlier (just wanted to use it again..) and that’s why I can’t use spacedesk… Is there a solution? I write this with google translator because my english is bad. sorry but please help me 🙂
After uninstalling version 1.0.35 using the add or remove programs setting in windows 10 then restarting the pc, Using the 1.0.36 msi file to install spacedesk I see that it instead installs 1.0.35. After that I also tried uninstalling using the msi file itself, but still see 1.0.35 after installing. Double checked and I am definitely using the 1.0.36 msi file.
Hi @shodan,
Thank you very much for the feedback.
1. Coming out of fullscreen
We will try to reproduce it, but so far it’s not yet happening on our side. Maybe keeping the client monitor active to prevent monitor sleep can already help avoid this, please check #2.
2. To keep the client monitor active while server is on PC sleep, just activate it in the spacedesk UWP viewer Settings -> Display -> Keep display on.
3. To start spacedek UWP Viewer automatically during Windows Start-up, we suggest the following steps:
– run “shell:appsFolder” then find spacedesk VIEWER
– right-click the spacedesk VIEWER -> Create shortcut
– the shortcut file will be created on the Desktop
– run “shell:startup”, then copy/move the “spacedesk VIEWER – Shortcut” file from Desktop to the Startup folder.
(just copy-paste another shortcut file with different name so that it will start two UWP viewer instance upon start up)
PS: As for the position of each viewer instance, we don’t know if it’s possible to specify the position for each instance, maybe you have to create a simple program for it.
Hi @matt_97,
For further analysis, please send us the diagnostic logs for this issue.
– open spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics
– if Debug View is not available, please click the download button first
– switch Diagnostic Collection ON
– try to connect your viewer app and reproduce the issue
– switch Diagnostic Collection OFF
– click Save All Information button
PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.
I had this exact error message appear on the Fire tablet, trying to connect (for the first time) to a Windows 7 64-bit laptop (I installed the Windows 8.1 software).
On the laptop, the error message said “MCT Driver detected – incompatible display driver”. Supposedly there is a “Spacedesk Driver Console” that will allow you to find and remove any incompatible drivers, but I could not find that software anywhere. The only program that installed on my laptop was the basic “Spacedesk Server” software.
So, I gave up and uninstalled Spacedeck from the laptop. But then I saw in the list of programs to uninstall, something called “Trigger External Graphics Family” from MCT Corp. That was the name from the error message. I uninstalled that Trigger software, reinstalled Spacedeck, and it works fine.
I found online discussion of possible problems with uninstalling Trigger External Graphics Family, but solutions were available and in any case those problems (trouble with Microsoft Word and Excel) did not happen on my laptop. “Trigger” was apparently auto-installed at some point for another external monitor or projector, no longer needed I guess.
Hi @mediagvc,
To mirror flip the spacedek screen, you have to switch ON the Videowall via spacedesk Driver Console window, then click the connected client.
On the right panel, click the Videowall tab beside the Statistics, to show the videowall settings then you will find below the “Flipped Display (for mirroring)” checkbox.
For assistance, please check the attached image below.

Currently using Spacedesk viewer X86/UWP version 0.0.23.0
Works great, but it often switches from fullscreen to maximized windows upon various screen related events.
In particular, if other screens change resolution or if the computer goes to sleep.
This does not happen all the time. I would say once out of 3 or 4 times.
NOTE : This might not have anything to do with it but, I run two instances of spacedesk viewer on the same windows PC each on their own screen.
Full setup is as follow
Spacedesk server is running on windows PC with one monitor attached (1920×1080)
I have four screens in total
2x 1680×1050 screens running on android on a ARM based SBC
and 2x 1680×1050 more screens running off another windows x86 PC running uwp spacedesk viewer
The android viewer does not ever have the “coming out of fullscreen” problem
A few more observations
When the server PC goes to sleep, the android screens remains turned on and display bouncing disconned message
The windows PC running viewer, eventually goes to sleep, but does not wake up when the server PC wakes up.
However, manually waking up the viewer PC, it will reconnect, the viewers are still in the right location, just sometimes not fullscreen anymore.
If the windows viewer PC is reset, I have autologin enabled, however I have not found out how to automatically start two instances of the spacedesk viewer and each put them in fullscreen and each in their proper screen. But over all it works great and is very usable
Here is a picture of my setup
I’m using Spacedesk as a telepromter over to the Ipad. Is there an option to mirror flip the image to fit in the telepromter format?
That’s great to hear! Unfortunately I am using Spacedesk on my iPad as a second monitor for my Windows computer. I guess multi-touch is still not supported on iOS?
Hi, in case you want to try the Android Debug Bridge Cable connection, just follow the steps below:
1. Connect your android device via USB and enable the USB debugging in the Developer options on your Android System settings.
2. Download Android SDK platform tools on your primary machine, then extract it.
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
3. Open command prompt on the primary machine, change the directory to your android SDK platform tools folder, then type the command: adb.exe reverse tcp:28252 tcp:28252
4. On your Android device, open the spacedesk Viewer app, and make sure to disable the auto-discovery by unchecking the LAN/WiFi box below.
5. Click the + button, then try to connect to 127.0.0.1 IP address.
Hi @tymops,
There are various reasons for network discovery issue (e.g. Third party firewall, VPN, etc.), please check the Troubleshooting – Network Connection chapter in the user manual. https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/
Hi @mery,
To create a video wall, you have to connect first your viewer app then you can assign the Wall Index in the Videowall tab.
For details, please check the “Video Wall Operation” chapter in the user manual.

Hi @art,
Unfortunately, no short term nor mid term plans of spacedesk Driver/Server for Linux.
Protocol specification is not publicly available.
You can only use your Linux machine as client via spacedesk HTML5 VIEWER http://viewer.spacedesk.net/.
Keep in mind that this HTML5 VIEWER app on Linux is much slower than our native apps on Android and Windows.
This is due to technical limitations of HTML5/Javascript.
Hi @remy,
Routers can cause lags and latency. Bypassing them always improves performance.
Configure your Windows PC or Android device as WiFi Access Point (Hotspot) and connect to it before connecting spacedesk.
USB Tethering and Android Debug Bridge cable connection can also achieve the same result.
Please check the “Performance Tuning” chapter in the user manual: https://spacedesk.net/user-manual
Hello.
It would be great to have Linux support in spacedesk, at least for “commercial grade” distributions (RHEL8, Fedora – distros using Wayland)
Do you have plans to release Linux version of your software?
Hi. I just started to use Spacedesk to make my old phone as me secondary monitor. Mainly to use as sensor panel for my PC. What I notice is that when I played Borderlands 3, the monitor is still on but my sensor is not there. But what is more important is that there is a long(few minutes) of keyboard input lag. So, it is very annoying to play any games at all as it hinders with my character movement greatly.
Hi @aragubas,

I’m trying to use my old Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (SM-T110) as a second monitor for my computer to increase my productivity. I have tried using wifi connection for that but its too slow and unstable to be useable, so i found a way to use USB Tethering to connect my tablet to my computer. It worked, pinging the interface gives me <1MS delay, spacedesk is noticeable faster and responsive, but there is still a noticeable lag and the video feed just freezes from time to time. Reducing quality and framerate seems to give similar results;
What can i do to have lower lantency or don’t that these lag spikes. If its possible to remove the lagspikes i will be already satisfied.
Good morning @lea, when I connect the tablet to laptop via USB tethering, in the Spacedesk Driver Console it shows the Remote NDIS Adapter, but the viewer app does not detect it. I seen you mentioned something similar in the past but I didn’t know you can use Spacedesk over laptop hotspot that says: Connected no internet. Will try that. I just tried the connection over ADB cable and… IT WORKD!!! Many thanks Lea. Now everything works again 🙂
Thanks

Hello,
I’m a field application engineer at Qualcomm who is responsible to deliver Windows on ARM(WoA) tech support. One of our customers in Japan who evaluates a WoA device cannot use “SPACEDESK DRIVER SOFTWARE for Windows PRIMARY PC (server).” They’d like to use iPad as a second monitor of the WoA device.
Although I understand it doesn’t support WoA but I have two questions for you.
Do you think there are any workarounds?
Do you have any plans to support WoA? If yes, I’d like to chat with you about what support we can do for you.
Even after installing the x64 version server module on the WoA device, the following four files are not located in the System32 folder.
spacedeskConsole.exe
spacedeskService.exe
spacedeskServiceTray.exe
spacedeskSrvLibConnectorUsb.exe
I’ve attached a screenshot to show what I wrote above.
Regards,
Nori

Hi, my name is roger, I want to use your developed tools for screen mirror.
Try many times still fail install on my win 10(Home 64bit version, 1809 OS build 17763.1039)
this is my download package : spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1035_BETA
how to solved this problem ?
Hi @matt,
Can you further describe when you said USB tethering sometimes doesn’t work?
Is the private network cannot establish over USB tethering?
You can easily check in the spacedesk Driver Console -> Network -> Adapter Interface, if the Remote NDIS Adapter is active (this is the network adapter for USB tethering network).
As for the “Connected no internet” in hotspot setup, this is still good since spacedesk does not require internet connection, it only needs to be connected to a local area network.
In case you want to try the Android Debug Bridge Cable connection, just follow the steps below:
1. Connect your android device via USB and enable the USB debugging in the Developer options on your Android System settings.
2. Download Android SDK platform tools on your primary machine, then extract it.

Hi @kilan8,
Thank you very much for sending the diagnostic logs.
It seems that Nvidia ShadowPlay/In-game overlay is currently running on your primary machine. This Nvidia feature is incompatible with spacedesk, you can verify it on spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics -> Incompatible Software/Product.
Please make sure to turn off this feature before spacedesk connection.
Hi @kilan8,
Is the main monitor instantly frozen when the spacedesk connection is made?
For further analysis, could you please send us the diagnostic logs on your primary machine.
Just run spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics -> Save All Information.

Hi @hacchan,
Thank you very much for sending the requested logs.
We are currently analyzing the logs and it seems to be a low memory situation even though you have 32GB RAM, maybe you have too many applications currently running on your primary machine.
Could you please reboot your primary machine, then try to install spacedesk first without any other applications open/running.
Looking forward to your feedback.
