Hi @zahy,
Please try the following:
– select File Transfer mode instead of charging mode on the Android device
– turn off USB debugging on the Android device
– restart the Android device
– restart the Windows machine
– different USB cable
– directly connect to a USB3.0 or USB2.0 port
If the above suggestions did not help, please send us the generated diagnostics folder to further analyze the issue.
Open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Follow the collection steps provided and send us the zipped folder.
In case the folder size exceeds 512KB, upload it in Dropbox/Google Drive/One Drive/etc. and send us a download link.

Hi @crodriguezefe-com,
In the Avast firewall settings, can you also add the port to be included in the exception list?
spacedeskService is using „28252“ port, if you can possibly add this port, please try it and check if it will fix your problem.
¿ Alguna sugerencia ?
Gracias
Hello,
I use Spacedesk with Windows 11 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet. When I connect using wifi connection, everything is normal. However, when I connect it with USB, it doesn’t connect normally. The tablet can connect to the server, but the screen remains black. The touch function is still working, indicating that there is a connection between the tablet and the computer. I have tried various solutions but have not been able to solve the problem. Can you help me? Thank You.

Hi @misovicb,
the spacedesk Driver should be able to handle multiple client connections.
Were you not able to connect the two Android tablets?
Please download and install the latest spacedesk Driver v2.1.21.
Hi @jmusic,
the spacedesk virtual Speaker does not support mono channel.
Please check on the iPhone device if Mono Audio is enabled and if the left and right channels are balanced (Settings -> Accessibility -> Audio & Visual).
Hi @castaa,
I would like to request another diagnostics.
The previous diagnostic logs were incomplete.
Please follow the diagnostic collection steps provided in the Diagnostic’s right-side panel of the spacedesk Driver Console. Screenshot of the same steps is attached.

Hi @rukirgaming,
Yes.
Please download and install the latest spacedesk Driver version.
unsure how else to put this, but the SpaceDesk version that I’ve been running with, 2.1.14 was causing USB driver issues with a Logitech G733 Lightspeed receiver, and the only way to get it to work is uninstalling Spacedesk, getting the receiver working, then reinstalling. Is this fixed in an update? Event Viewer events relating to the receiver are included.
Hello Lea. Thank you for the reply.
The Fire HD tablet is set to its native resolution of 1280×800.
I’ve tried all of those things. I’ve tried 60 fps, then 30 fps. I’ve adjusted the image quality to low. I’ve changed the settings to 16-bit and 32-bit color. I’ve tried using a different USB-C cable and changed the connected USB-C port on my GPU and then to my motherboard.
The PC’s cpu usage isn’t high, the spacedesk process is using 0% when the issue happens.
None of these things did anything to change the the issue I described.

Hello,
As of the latest update, the spacedesk virtual speaker audio seems to only come through my iPhone as a mono signal. Perhaps I’m misremembering, but I believe the output was previously stereo. If not, you can disregard and close this thread. Not sure if this is an issue on my end, or if it is a bug with the latest update. I’ve checked the output and mono audio is not selected. I’ve also uninstalled/reinstalled spacedesk as well as the spacedesk virtual speaker driver to no avail. Any ideas on how to fix would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi @mete,
please update your spacedesk Driver version.
It seems that you still have the old version of spacedesk Driver Console.
You can download the latest spacedesk driver from our website – https://www.spacedesk.net/#download
Hi @castaa,
Can you please tell us the current screen resolution of your client viewer?
Maybe try to lower it and check if it will improve the performance.
Do you have other USB cable that you can try? If yes, please try.
Please also check if there’s a high memory and CPU usage of the „spacedeskService“ in the task manager while spacedesk connection is lagging.
For further analysis, please send us the diagnostic logs of the issue via spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics.
Just follow the diagnostic collection steps provided in the Diagnostic’s right-side panel of the spacedesk Driver Console.
Hi @nicoteix,
For the black bar, please try this work around steps and see if it helps:
– On iOS viewer app’s Settings -> Resolution, please enable the native device resolution and the custom resolution (select any resolution in the list, preferably same resolution as your primary machine’s monitor)
– connect the ios Viewer app
– open the display settings window in your primary machine, there will be 2 available resolution for the secondary display/ios viewer display (these are the ones you configure in your ios viewer setting resolution), try to switch the resolution back and forth
check if the black bars will disappear after the steps above..
As for the rotation issue, please check if you enable the screen rotation on both iOS device settings and spacedesk iOS viewer settings.
And make sure that videowall mode is disabled in the spacedesk Driver Console.

Subject: Possiblity to drive two (2) different remote Android tablets (SAMSUNG TAB) by one Win10/SpaceDesk server/console??
To: <info@spacedesk.net>
Dear SpaceDesk support vendor
Should you inform me, if it should be possible to drive SIMULTANEOUSLY two (2) different remote Android tablets (SAMSUNG TAB) by one Win10/SpaceDesk server/console or you have some app solutions for my request?
This moment, I have established correct IP communications, between the:
– SERVER/IP=172.16.1.117
– TAB1/IP=172.16.1.119
– TAB2/IP=172.16.1.122
But SpaceDesk app operated correctly just by the one remote tablet!??
Configuration files in attached files!!
Kind regards

What you can do is, if you have the app in your account or can add it. Go on the app store on purchased app and search spacedesk, once you click install it will ask you if you want to install an older version compatible with your device.
I did this on my old iPad and it went fine, nevertheless, I can’t seem to be able to use the connection via USB cable, but only via network…
My tablet model is lenovo P12(TB370FU).
I have never used USB hub for the spacedesk usage.
Also, I have connected my tablet to both USB 2.0 and 3.0
Everything connects and displays properly on the tablet as a 2nd PC display but then it goes from full frame rate to less than 1 fps after less than a minute while using the Fire HD tablet as 2nd PC display. Using the USB-C to USB-C tablet to Windows 10 PC. Turning off and on the spacedesk resolves the issue but it returns again in less than a minute.
I’ve tried changing the FPS to 30, lowering the image quality, changing the color bit depth/format. Same issue with these settings. I’ve rebooted everything. Same issue.
Everything is up to date. Installed it via the Google App store onto the Fire HD tablet. I also have an Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020 model).
I see multiple people in this thread with my same issue: https://forum.spacedesk.net/forums/topic/usb-tethering-lag-fire-hd-8/

the only 3 times it crashed that day was when using OBS, Opened Helldivers 2, And Sitting not being used. it seems that space desk doesn’t like intensive programs running. i have a usb hub but i have the usb going directly to the pc port. not tried usb 2.0 -> 3.0. and usb debugging is disabled.
Hi @juventino,
thank you for the diagnostics.
It seemed that the Android device was able to stay connected up to one hour.
The traces did not indicate any errors in the first 10 minutes of connection.
So far, we could not reproduce the issue on our side.
Could you please share how spacedesk is being used and which applications are running on your machine?
Is the Android device plugged to a USB hub or directly to a USB port?
Have you tried to plug the device in a USB2.0 or USB3.0 port?
Is USB debugging of the device disabled?
PS: DebugView tool captures available traces of running applications. This is why there’s Oculus and other software’s traces in the log file.
Hi @hawak,
if you have HDR or 10-bit pixel format enabled, please disable it in Windows display settings or in the graphics adapter (e.g. Nvidia or AMD) control panel.
Both features are not supported by spacedesk.
For further details, please refer to our user manual topic “Windows 11/10 Known Issues and Unsupported Features” (https://manual.spacedesk.net/Windows1110KnownIssuesandUnsuppo.html).
I have reproduced it again after resetting the spacedesk. I have turned on the USB Cable Android option after connecting my tablet successfully to my computer. I have checked that my computer recognizes my tablet correctly, and was able to search through the tablet’s files via PC.
As soon as I turned on the option, the Tablet connection was disconnected and the same problem occurs again.
I attached the diagnostics below.

Yes, I have reproduced it two times.
My tablet recognized that it was connected to PC, and the spacedesk pop up message appeared on my tablet.
Hi @kevins
We have a previous spacedesk users that verified that MS Flight Simulator does NOT support/recognize touchscreen input (in general not just in spacedesk).
And according to that user, it can only recognize mouse input from a remote display.
We can only suggest either of the following:
1. Use mouse touch which automatically activates on your second viewer connection.
Current spacedesk’s touchscreen only supports in first spacedesk display, so on your first viewer app just activate touch screen first, then connect a second viewer app where you can move your flight simulator app and try to send the mouse touch input from there.
2. Select relative touch input in your viewer app settings (the touch input will behave as mouse pad for your primary machine).
Hi @nicoteix,
thank you very much.
In the spacedesk iOS viewer app’s Settings -> Resolution,
is the custom resolution enabled? If it is, then it might not be a match to the display’s aspect ratio.
You may select a different resolution or disable it on the app or
change the resolution in the Windows display settings (right Mouse Click on Desktop → context menu “Display settings”).
I have tried all the possible USB control options including File Transfer. There are ‚File Transfer‘, ‚USB tethering‘, ‚MIDI‘, ‚PTP‘, and ‚Smart Connect‘.
I tried the exact same steps for the diagnostic collection and attached here.
I couldn’t find certain generated folder with that name format; therefore I have submitted the log file that has been downloaded with debug view zip files.
I also included entire downloaded files from diagnostic collection via following dropbox link.
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/t3ugrz6zgyhmohpkzndch/2024-07-18-185900-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics.zip?rlkey=4qvvk1geovw9ktc53d9ojbw5n&st=db3pbi7f&dl=0
I have never used the oculus service when using spacedesk, it must be running in the background. i disabled it and rebooted, after 10 minutes it freezed again. I glance multiple times to see when it will crash.

Hi @juventino,
thank you for the diagnostics.
The traces showed something from Oculus, do you use VR while spacedesk is connected?
Do you observe the issue when desktop is idle?
Hi @donglee0612,
please follow the diagnostic collection steps (screenshot attached) in the spacedesk Driver Console
and send us the generated folder e.g. YYYY-MM-DD-HHmmSS-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics.

Thanks for sharing, I agree that SpaceDesk offers a versatile second monitor experience via a wireless connection, enhancing productivity. Pairing it with a gamepad transforms mobile gaming, delivering convenience and expanded gameplay possibilities on the go.
Im also encountering the same problem.
I have tried restarted my laptop and my tablet severl times.
I even restarted after switching the USB Cable Andriod option off and turning it back on.
Spacedesk still shows no sign of recognizing my tablet USB connection.
When I connect my tablet, it shows the popup notification saying „Open spacedesk to handle USB (spacedesk)?“ and after I press OK, there’s only black screen appears. While being that, my Spacedesk Driver Consol shows 0 connected USB device.
USB debugging is off on my tablet, my USB cable surely does work because I have been using the same cable for my USB tethering. Please help.

Hi @wmartin573,
the spacedesk iOS viewer app is free to download from the App Store.
As per the discussion from the Apple community, this might point to a pending balance, subscription, or billing issue.

Dear Spacedesk Team
I’d like to use Spacedesk to turn my ipad Mini into a second screen for my Windows PC.
The driver installs fine on my PC. But when I try to get the app from the Apple App store, it gives me a message „Payment not completed“
The app isn’t yet installed so I can’t seem to remove it.
What is the problem and how might I fix it?
Best regards
Will Martin
Hi @juventino,
does the issue always happen?
Did the primary display freeze too?
Did spacedesk recover?
Have you tried a different USB cable?
To further analyze the issue, please send us the diagnostics.
Open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Follow the collection steps and send us the generated folder (zipped/compressed).
In case the folder size exceeds 512KB, upload it in Dropbox/Google Drive/One Drive/etc. and send us a download link.
Hi @xlab,
the log did not contain any spacedesk traces.
Please follow the collection steps and send the whole spacedesk Diagnostics folder generated by the spacedesk Driver Console.
The usb method of using space desk works for a maximum for 10 minutes and then just freezes for no apparent reason, even when clean crisp quality at 60fps and no lag, so then i have to resort to Wi-Fi mode which increased lag and input delay but works flawlessly without freezes (only crashes when intensive programs are running on Wi-Fi and usb), i cant find any other alternative to this sort of software and i just want this fixed for me.
Hi @xlab,
Please try the following:
– turn off USB debugging on the Android device
– restart the Android device
– restart the Windows machine
– different USB cable
– directly connect to a USB3.0 or USB2.0 port
If the above suggestions did not work, please send another diagnostics.
The first diagnostics was incomplete and did not have the DebugView.log and spacedesk driver traces. Please follow the steps to get the diagnostics and reproduce the issue by connecting the Android viewer app by USB cable.
Hi @xlab,
When the current version expires, spacedesk will still be able to connect but the image will be in black and white. A free version with extended expiry date will be released before December 31, 2024.
To further analyze the non-working USB cable connection,
please send us the diagnostics.
Open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Follow the collection steps and send us the zipped folder.
In case the folder size exceeds 512KB, upload it in Dropbox/Google Drive/One Drive/etc. and send us a download link.
PS: This issue has been split from the other thread „Spacedesk not installing“
(https://forum.spacedesk.net/forums/topic/spacedesk-not-installing/?view=all).
Hi @xlab,
based on the setupapi.dev.log traces, it seems that it’s not only spacedesk that was having install/uninstall issue.
The marker „<ins>“ appeared in several install/uninstall and did not continue:
– Device Installation Restrictions Policy Check
– Microsoft Bluetooth driver
(BTHENUM\{0000111f-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_VID&0001000f_PID&1200\7&3025e752&0&6C24A62D7BF0_C00000000)
– Realtek WiFi 6 adapter
(PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_B852&SUBSYS_485317AA&REV_00\00E04CFFFE88520100)
Have you tried a clean boot?
PS: Non-working USB topic has been split from this thread.
Hi @blethz,
thank you very much for the feedback.
We are glad that the spacedesk Viewer app is now working on your side.
We will now close this thread.
Hi @ivypolaris,
does it always work with 30 fps?
Please send us the diagnostics to further analyze the problem.
Open spacedesk Driver Console and go to Diagnostics.
Follow the collection steps and send us the zipped folder.
In case the folder size exceeds 512KB, upload it in Dropbox/Google Drive/One Drive/etc. and send us a download link.
Tried using different directory but to no avail. I ran the installer for around 30 min, as I mentioned before, the installer gets stuck on ‚Installing spacedesk Android Control Driver‘ and the only way to stop the installer is to go task manager and end the ’spacedesk Setup Custom Action‘ task as even clicking on cancel in the installer doesnt do anything. Here is the attached trace file requested

Hi @xlab,
could you please try the following?
– open the MSI installer from a different drive
– the default destination folder path is the Program Files, please change it to a different drive
If the suggestions above did not help, generate the MSI trace. Steps:
1. Download the spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate.zip here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vr17lj6n63k52rh/2022_spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate.zip?dl=0
2. Extract the zip file.
3. Copy the spacedesk MSI installer inside the extracted folder then click the get_trace.bat
4. The script will prompt you to enter the MSI file name then press enter.
5. Once the issue is reproduced, please send the spacedeskmsi_trace.txt generated inside the folder.
NOTE:
get_trace.bat executes the Windows msiexec command as documented in Microsoft: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/msiexec
Hi @xlab,
have you tried to reboot the machine?
For further analysis, please send us the following files:
– run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
– spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
– setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
Please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply
or upload to Google Drive/One Drive/Dropbox/etc. and send us the download link.
After installing the new update spacedesk was no longer recognizing usb connection which i always use, so i uninstalled from control panel and tried to reinstall the previous version as i had that installer in downloads folder, however every time i try to download it gets stuck on installing android driver, i tried checking other posts however i was unable to figure anything out as all sorts of files related to spacedesk have been removed, the folder, the drivers, registry entries, etc. Since the installer does not proceed further i always have to end the spacedesk custom task that runs in order to stop the installation as normal cancelling does not work. I have been using spacedesk for a few months now and i faced no such issue until this update. Please help
Hi @andremoreirazoogmail-com,
spacedesk requires a Windows OS primary machine (server).
macOS as spacedesk primary machine is currently not supported. It can only be a secondary machine (client).
For further details, please refer to our System Requirements (https://manual.spacedesk.net/SystemRequirements.html).
Hi @bucc,
please refer to our user manual’s troubleshooting topic „Cannot discover Primary Machine“ https://manual.spacedesk.net/CannotdiscoverPrimaryMachine.html.
I’m having troubles with the Spacedesk Viewer part since it isn’t detectingt the Primary Machine (Server), I already tried rebooting booth computers and it isn’t working yet.
Hi @monty1957,
Please make sure that you install the latest spacedesk Driver version.
You can download it from our website here – https://www.spacedesk.net/#download
