    Hi @mayamark,

    Unfortunately, we cannot open the zip file (and it’s not the right diagnostic folder we need for analysis).
    Please follow the steps above on how to get the diagnostic logs via spacedesk Driver Console.
    spacedesk Driver Console app generates a diagnostic folder name like “2023-06-26-XXXXX-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics” (which contains all necessary diagnostic log files), then this is the folder that you should compress (zipped).

    You can also try to split the contents of the diagnostic logs into 2 folders, zip them and upload the 2 zipped file in case it exceeds the allowed file size.

    What is the current Android version of your tablet device?

    When you plugged the Android USB cable, did you see the “spacedesk Android USB Device” in Device Manager (just run devmgmt.msc) underneath “Universal Serial Bus devices”? Or did it show the default name of your Android Tablet’s USB device?

    Can you please quickly try to switch Android USB Cable to OFF in spacedesk Driver Console > Reboot your PC and restart your Android device. Check if your machine can now recognize your Android device and switch back the Android USB Cable to ON.

    The Spacedesk solutionis wonderful! I wish I knew about it before. After getting frustrated with Microsoft’s Miracast which was both laggy and unstable with a lot of crashes for me (not mentioning the limitation that it only works wirelessly), I’m finally able to utilize my Surface Go 2 as a second monitor over Ethernet for my main Windows 10 PC and it’s a breeze!

    Only problem I found with the App from the Windows Store is that it’s very difficult to figuring out how to activate the Touch/Mouse control: it requires to first tap on the App to show the green bar, and then to tap with 3 fingers very gently, where the spacing of the fingers must be very specific; if you have your fingers a little far or close to one another it doesn’t show up the window for activating input. If I use the Microsoft Pen however the input activating window shows up with a single tap.

    I think that a dedicated button in the green bar to enable/disable input would be a better solution.

    Besides that, I would very much like to be be able to switch the audio to be playing from my secondary display. This works when running the non-app version of the Viewer, however there’s a problem with input control there, which is why I moved to use the App.

    Overall, it’s one of the BEST apps I ever used. Keep up the good work! 🙂

    First, please try to disable the USB debugging in the developer option. There are some cases in some devices that USB debugging prevent spacedesk USB connection from working.

    Please make sure to enable the Android USB cable in spacedesk Driver Console window. Upon plugging the USB cable, spacedesk viewer should run automatically and connect.
    For assistance, please refer to the chapter „CONNECTING A NEW DISPLAY MONITOR OVER THE USB CABLE -> Direct USB Cable Connection (Android only)“ in the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_11689.

    If it still did not work, please open on your Android device’s settings, and find the setting for default USB configuration (or something similar to it) and select the File transfer/sharing mode.
    Maybe you can search for the keyword „USB“ if you don’t know where this setting is located..

    Thank you again for your reply.
    According to your method, my computer still cannot re-recognize the S1 speaker. I still can only recover by rebooting.
    As long as my computer is not connected to S2, even if I disconnect S1, the computer will be able to recognize S1 speakers after reconnecting. I used my phone to install spacedesk for testing, and the same situation occurred. As long as I didn’t use the spacedesk screen, unplugged or disconnected S1 will without causing the problem of not recognizing the speakers.
    By the way, did you reproduce the same bug?

    After testing, I found that everything was fine when I used both the HDMI screen (hereinafter called S1) and the Android tablet installed spacedesk (hereinafter called S2). The operation of bug reproduction is as follows:
    After the S2 is connected to the computer, in multi-monitor setting(Windows Settings→System→screen), set S1 to disconnect, and only use S2 as the screen.     I have downloaded the spacedesk app on my Windows11 and also iPad3 which has iOS 16.2. Both devices are on the same wi-fi network and I inputted the ip address from the desktop all to my ipad app but it cannot discover my desktop.

    After running the iOS app, there is a pop up message that says IMPORTANT INFO – saying ‚This iOS app version can only connect to the spacedesk Windows Driver

    You can download the latest Windows Driver at……….

    What does all this mean?

    It seems like that my iOS meets app requirement already.

    We are glad to hear that it’s working now on your side.
    A possible cause of this issue is maybe the Viewer app hangs then crashes during the last time you used it with Audio Speaker enabled.
    Did you remember it happening the last time?

    To further investigate the cause, could you please check if there are any spacedeskWindowsVIEWER.exe.xxxx.dmp files created in the following directories of your secondary machine:
    – C:\Users\\AppData\Local\CrashDumps
    – C:\WINDOWS\System32\Config\SystemProfile\AppData\Local\CrashDumps

    If you find one or more dumps, please send it as *.zip file.

    Is there any chance that viewer app can’t detect speakers?
    => We are not sure. We haven’t encountered this scenario.

    Could you please try to reset the viewer settings in your secondary machine, just follow the steps below:
    – open the „Registry Editor“ by running „regedit“
    – go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\datronicsoft
    – right-click -> Delete the „spacedesk“ key underneath

    Then try to run again the spacedesk Windows 7 Viewer app.

    Audio Speaker option in spacedesk Windows 7 Viewer app will be disabled if:
    – there’s NO real audio/speaker device active in your Windows secondary machine
    – already active in the first instance of a connected viewer app

    Just got spacedesk and tried to connect to my iPad, connects just fine but says connected – Display Off;deleted DisplayFusion, display managing application.

    Also I have other issue. In Full Screen mode, could you make so other app can show on top and the Viewer would not disappear complete. Or switch to behave like windows without border instead of full screen. The Viewer keeps disconnecting when the app lose focus or not visible in Full screen mode.

    So in my setup earlier, I have 4 physical connected not moveable Monitors to their machines but I would like to use left 2 for Machine 1, and right 2 for Machine 2
    -Machine 2–|-Machine 1
    [Monitor 1]-|-[Monitor 1][Monitor 2][Montor 3]

    But I want setup
    -Machine 1———–|-Machine 2
    [Screen 1][Screen 2] |[Screen 1][Screen 2]
    [Viewer 1]———–|[Viewer 2][Viewer 3]
    So Machine 2 connected to Machine 1 for Viewer 1. And Machine 1 connected to Machine 2 for Viwer 2 and 3
    So there is a crossover. I am not sure if that contribution anything?
    850G85C… is machine 1, …58x is machine 2

    I am trying to recreate the condition, but I do not see that leakage again

    My screen with speakers use hdmi to connect to my computer. Turn on the remote audio with a deskspace connection on the tablet, Everything works normally. When I disconnect, my screen speaker will not be recognized and can only be restored by rebooting the computer. Disconnecting the HDMI, reconnecting and rebooting the screen are useless.

    I have it run continuously on my laptop as extra screen for my desktop. I did have any issues getting image. But I did lock my desktop/laptop during those time and screen turn black. Normal native 1920x1080p resolution. I did have win 7 viewer app from website install but I do not like the image quality on same setting and the so easly keep rotation.

    spacedesk do not consume internet data. It only needs to be connected on your local area network.
    When spacedesk is connected, it is expected to affect your network adapter’s load since there’s an incoming and outgoing packet transmission between spacedesk server and viewer app.

    Current spacedesk iOS Viewer app does not support remote audio yet.
    Remote Audio/Sound feature is only available in spacedesk Android and Windows 7 Viewer apps.

    Do you also experience black screen issues as well? if so,
    Based on the logs, you have Nvidia Shadowplay/In-game Overlay/screen recording currently active in your primary machine.
    Please disable this settings in Nvidia GeForce Experience window.
    Then open spacedesk Driver Console and switch OFF-ON the spacedesk Driver/Server and try again with spacedesk.

    Current spacedesk is in Desktop Duplication/Mirror mode.
    You can easily switch to Desktop Extension mode via Windows Display Settings -> „Extend these displays“ in the dropdown menu.
    Or via Display switch, just press Windows logo + P hotkey, then select „Extend“.

    2 possible reasons:

    1. spacedesk MSI installer is in inaccessible location, please make sure that the spacedesk msi installer is in your local disk e.g. Download folder in C:\ directory.

    2. spacedesk MSI installer is corrupted or probably you downloaded an incomplete file, please check the file size.
    For spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1067_BETA.msi, it should have 4.66MB file size.

    If #2 is the case your side, please download again the spacedesk MSI installer at https://forum.spacedesk.net#download.

    Hi @alrei263,
    Yes, it’s possible.
    First, make sure you have spacedesk Driver on your mini-pc and is set to automatic start at system boot time (option is on spacedesk Driver Console -> Control). And since your client is Android phone you can connect via Android USB cable also make sure that „Android USB cable“ is enabled (spacedesk Driver Console -> Communication Interfaces).

    To setup your spacedesk display as main monitor:
    1. While physical main monitor is still attached, connect with your Android phone via spacedesk Android USB cable connection.
    2. Open display settings window on primary machine:
    — set your spacedesk display as primary/main display
    — if spacedesk display number shows „2“, there’s a dropdown menu where you can select „Show only on 2“ and it will detach the main monitor display (probably display #1) OR switch to „second screen only“ mode via display switch (Windows logo + P hotkey), then you can detach now your physical main monitor.

    Hello!
    I am running Spacedesk on a Samsung A52 5G with Android 13. I installed the spacedesk app and managed to connect successfully to my Windows 11 machine over both WIFI and USB. About 2 weeks ago.

    I went to use the app today and when I click on the app in Android it flashes past the app home screen ( no chance to launch settings or do anything else ) and goes straight to a black screen with a hamburger menu on the LHS that has Disconnect, keyboard and Minimize options. If I minimize and try the app again I go straight back to the black screen.

    The Driver console in Windows does NOT show a connection.

    I have tried forcing the app to close – no change in behaviour

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app – same behaviour.

    Anyone seen this before and know how to fix it please? Right now the app is unusable on my device.

    Hi @george9812,

    Just to be clear: Are you able to see your server name/IP consistently using an ethernet cable from the viewer until now or did the viewer eventually lose the ability to detect the server after some time?

    For further analysis, please send us the diagnostic info of your primary machine.
    Just open the spacedesk Driver Console app -> Diagnostics -> click the “Save All Information” button.

    PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

    There are various reasons for network discovery issues (e.g., Third party firewall, VPN, etc.), please check the Troubleshooting – Network Connection chapter in the user manual. https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_489

    on the other hand, if your secondary device is Android, you can also try connecting via a direct Android USB cable for a much stable and better performance.     You can do this in videowall by manually editing the position and resolution of your two viewer machines.
    We suggest the workaround steps below.

    The initial setup will be something like this:
    -Screen #1 = Main monitor (1920 x 1080) <-assuming this is your main monitor's resolution. -Screen #2 = spacedesk viewer 1 (1920×1080). -Screen #3 = spacedesk viewer 2 (1920×1080). -Wall 1 = default (3840x1080) <- feel free to use your desired resolution. 1. connect your 2 spacedesk viewers to your main monitor. 2. Open spacedesk Driver Console and enable Videowall mode 3. Assign all clients connected to Video Wall. - You will see on Connections -> Active (2 connected), click viewer 1, then click the Videowall tab in the right panel
    – In Wall Index box, enter any value e.g. “1”, then it will create a Video Wall1 underneath CONTROL
    – Then right-click to viewer 1, then select “Assign to Wall 1”
    4. change the height of wall 1 to 1080 to match the height of your viewer 1
    5. click viewer 2 and assign it to wall 1
    6. set its X position to ‚1920‘ to put it beside the viewer1.

    Answer: As long as your GPU is up to date, there should be no issues.

    it looks like the installation did not generate a log file..If there’s no spacedeskSetup.log file generated, then it means the MSI installer hangs before spacedesk driver installation even started.
    In this case, we will request for the msi trace (msiexec.exe) of the spacedesk MSI installer.
    For assistance, please download the spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate.zip here:

    – extract the zip file

    – please send the spacedeskmsi_trace.txt generated inside the folder together with the dxdiag file and setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF

    1. Check your WiFi router settings if it has client isolation enabled.
    This setting prevents direct communication between connected devices/computers.
    2. Do you have VPN (Virtual Private Network) active? If yes, please disable it.
    3. Check on your iOS Viewer Settings -> Privacy -> Local Network, if spacedesk is on the list and enabled?

    qWave (Quality Windows Audio Video Experience) feature must be installed in your Windows 7 machine.
    There are some cases that it’s already installed, but corrupted or maybe your machine is missing some Windows updates.
    Please also check if KB2533623 and/or KB3063858 Windows 7 update are installed on that machine.
    If not, please download this KB updates from Microsoft and try again with spacedesk installation.

    I restarted my PC but not working either. And, regarding the problem of showing captcha, F5 is not working for me. I tired to F12 to force showing the captcha but failed. F12 works for registering and I believe people cannot register now by the normal way. The ‚confirm your password‘ block is not showing so people will always get ‚password doesn’t match‘ error message.

    Hi @DamDam,
    Can you further elaborate on your issue regarding duplicating/projecting Display? 
    1. Is there no option for ‚duplicate‘ in your PC settings at all? or…
    2. do you want to just project your secondary machine to multiple screens?  

    If #1 is the case, can you please check if your primary graphics adapter is updated and has WDDM version 2.0-above?
    You can check the WDDM version by opening dxdiag.exe.
    -Search „dxdiag“ on the search menu, or simply do Windows key + R, then type „dxdiag.“
    -Then click the Display tab.
    Check the „Driver Model“ box underneath the „Drivers“ box.

    I have the same problem with crashes. I tried to delete spacedesk entries in registry but even with administrator access I can’t delete them. I have the latest display drivers from nvidia. I have the nvidia gforce gt710 driver version 30.0.14.7430 2/24/2023. I have 3 screens trying to run 4. my email is [email removed by Admin]

    Yes, correct! spacedes Driver Console cannot YET switch OFF Local Area Network (wireless and cable). In one of the very next spacedesk releases this will be fixed. Then you will be able to switch LAN connections ON/OFF independently of the USB connections. In the meantime you can still clearly recognize if the connection is over USB or LAN. Just look underneath CONNECTIONS branch in Driver Console.

    A USB connection looks like this (contains the term USB):
    SM-G991B \\?\USB#VID_18D1&PID_2D01&MI_00#6&164e7346&bc&0000#{09daef26-7ee9-4bfe-a046-a8a4ea91a2cc}

    A network connection looks like this (contains an IP Address):
    SM-F936B 192.168.10.113:13978

    Thanks also for the hint that spacedesk Driver Console does not remember Window position. We might consider adding this.

    Greetings! The topic has probably already been covered, but I’ll ask anyway. Is it possible to project the screen of a secondary monitor connected to a computer to an Android device? If not, is there a possibility to implement the selection whether we want the projection of the primary or secondary screen of the computer on the Android device? Windows 11 does not offer 2 and 3 screen mirroring so if anyone has any ideas….
