    Hello.
    For unknown reason my space desk panel is disconnecting all the time.
    It can work well for couple of hours and then just collapse. When I run it again the panel goes up and it is in off mode.
    (I am using it with Mawi server to run Monitors anywhere)

    First of all sorry for my bad english, my issue is that when i move a video or a stream window into de viewer screen, it freezes for like 15 seconds an then disconects. I have tried with all sorts of configuration and i have discovered that this doesn´t happen when I turn off the compression feature, but this makes the screen incredibly laggy and unuseable. I hope you can give me a solution because i really like using SpaceDesk.

    when I use wired connection (USB connection), it works fine when I start spacedesk viewer on my tablet before my pc start, but when I turn on the spacedesk after my pc, often it does not work , is there any workaround how to fix this?

    Hi @mastb,

    Thanks for confirmation.
    This is actually a Windows behavior. It could also happen in any secondary display not just spacedesk.
    Please try the suggestions from this article:

    Desktop icons moved from Primary Monitor to Secondary Monitor in Windows 11/10

    If it did not help, you can just simply select all the icons on the secondary display and drag back to your main display.

    Can you please try the most recent spacedesk Driver v1056 and generate an updated diagnostic logs (via spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics -> Save All Information).
    Please make sure that spacedeskDiag.txt will be included in the diagnostic folder.

    Are you clicking the Flight Simulator buttons from your primary monitor using the mouse pointer of your primary machine?

    Next, could you please send us the following:
    1. screenshot of the Windows display settings with spacedesk display connected
    2. diagnostic logs while offset issue is happening
    To generate the logs, please follow the steps below:
    – open the spacedesk Driver Console window by clicking the spacedesk tray icon on your task bar’s notification area
    – click the Diagnostics on the left side panel
    – if Debug View is not available, please click the download button first
    – switch Diagnostic Collection ON (make sure to click Yes in the User Account Control box to proceed)
    – try to connect your viewer app and reproduce the mouse pointer offset issue
    – switch Diagnostic Collection OFF
    – click Save All Information button

    We have tried to reproduce this event and it seems like it only happens when you scroll-hold-release in places where the clickable text is located (e.g., Titles/Song tiles/Album names).
    This is completely normal as spacedesk reads hold gesture in clickable objects as right-click trigger.

    But, is it still the same user account? with only less number of icons?
    Did you notice if the other missing icons were being transferred to your other display (e.g.spacedesk display)?

    For analysis, could you please send us the diagnostic logs of your primary machine.
    Just connect your viewer app (to reproduce the behavior), then open the spacedesk Driver Console in your primary machine, then click Diagnostics -> “Save All Information”.

    Hi @tomf,

    Thanks for sending the screenshot.
    I noticed that there’s a “3D Display mode” option in the display settings and currently OFF in spacedesk display.
    Is this enabled on your other displays (1+2) ?
    If yes, can your try to enable it on spacedesk display (3) too?
    Then check if duplicate option will show up with this settings ON?

    Once you’re comfortable with Spacedesk and the remote control binding, unbinding process it would be nice to disable the need for the “Remote control” popup notifications.

    E.g. “The remote control session has finished” and the “By pressing ‘Take control'” popups.

    At this stage, its just extra button presses 😀

    Sory for replying old post but mine is similar. I am streaming with OBS and even when spacedesk is idle and waiting to use after disconnect I’m getting critical_structure crash. I have latest Nvidia and after uninstalled spacedesk 1.0.56 today there is nothing crash dump.

    Hi Lea,

    I did the steps as requested. But for the SpaceDesk monitor I still only have the Extend and Disconnect choices.
    Attached are the new diagnotstic logs, and two screen shots showing the tablet screen is connected fine and that the Duplicate choice is not available.

    Hi, I’ve got a weird anomaly. When I fire up the Spacedesk Viewer on the laptop, it changes the desktop on my primary machine, like it’s been switched to a different user. Normally, my primary machine desktop has 30 or so icons on it, and when I start the Spacedesk Viewer on my laptop, the primary desktop changes to show only a handful of icons. Any idea why this is happening, and how I could fix this? Thanks, Bill

    Thanks for sending the diagnostic logs.
    Could you please try the following:
    1. On primary machine, open spacedesk Driver Console -> Control -> click Clear Windows Display Settings -> then reboot
    2. On spacedesk Android Viewer app in your Samsung tablet, open Settings:
    – Quality/Performance -> Custom FPS rate -> 60 FPS
    – Resolution -> check “Use custom resolution” -> Choose Custom Resolution -> 1920×1080

    Hi almightychito,
    Thank you very much for sending the requested files.
    It seems that you have a Virtual Desktop (from https://www.vrdesktop.net/) installed in your primary machine.
    This software seems to have incompatibility issue with spacedesk.

    Please try this workaround steps to make it work with spacedesk:
    – open device manager in your primary machine
    – go to Display adapters and right-click Enable device the “Virtual Desktop Monitor”
    – open spacedesk Driver Console then switch the spacedesk Driver OFF -> ON

    If the steps above did not help, the only option is to uninstall the Virtual Desktop app then reboot your primary machine.

    Did you update your GPU driver (Nvidia + Intel)?

    Hi @guenterz,
    Based on your spacedeskDiag info, your Intel Graphics Adapter remains WDDM 1.3 version even after updating to latest version.
    Desktop duplication remains disabled/unsupported in your Windows primary PC.

    It seems that this Intel graphics adapter is already an old graphics driver (last driver version released on 2020) and cannot be updated any further.

    In this case, we cannot do anything about it unless you upgrade your graphics card to a newer model.

    continued: Since the entire zip file exceeds allowed file size, here just the spacedeskDiag.txt which indicates that the intel upgrade didn’t change the WDDM value: it is still at 1.3 🙁

    Hi Lea,
    following your proposal I’ve updated the Intel graphics adapter, but spacedesk still didn’t work as it should (and as it works with another PC and the same tablet). Attached please find the actual diagnostic zip file.
    Another observation, however, may help to identify the source of the problem.
    Pressing Win+P during active connection, indeed shows that the “extension” mode is active (as you assumed in an earlier post). Switching to the “Duplicate” mode, however, results in a black second screen, as if I had selected the first mode “PC screen only”. The other 2 modes (“extension” and “second screen only”) work as expected.
    What might be the reason that the option “Duplicate” doesn’t work? Is any setting of the Windows system wrong?

    Hi @lellomele,

    Unfortunately, you cannot mirror your iPad screen to your Windows PC.
    spacedesk Driver only support PC/Laptop with Windows 8.1/10/11 operating system which means You can only use your iPad as secondary machine.

    Hi all, and thanks for this wonderful piece of software.
    I’m a teacher, so I’m wondering if it could be possible to share or mirror the iPad screen content on the PC with SpaceDesk, so I can not only use Spacedesk device as a secondary video device, but also to mirror the iPad screen on the PC, as I want to project – at school – the contents of some educational iPad apps (as of iPad screen in general) onto the overhead projector connected to the PC.

    Hi, today, i was trying to connect my tablet to spacedesk and it said connected but display off, i tried reinstaling but at the part of installing service it gave me an error, i went to the services app and i found the service, with an error, and i cant do anything with it, can you guys please help me?

    So I found out if I unplug (not just disable in settings) my large monitor the keyboard works as expected.

    Again it works with monitor attached and disabled with other program. But with Spacedesk I have to unplug monitor.

    Hope that helps in sorting issue.

    These old Radeon issues from 2021 probably do not apply any more nowadys in 2023.
    In the future please rather create a new discussion instead.

    When I connect the USB cable, my tablet offers me multiple USB options; I have tried everyone but none worked.

    I am attaching a print-screen of the spacedesk Driver Console and the tablet USB options.

    Do you know how can I make it work?

    I tried all. And read forum reply’s concerning mirror and stretching.
    I’m on as of now latest w10, spacedesk, iOS, and Nvidia drivers. I switched off incompatible software. I did choose both native and non *resolutions in the app. Connected my primary screen through hdmi and dp. No succes. Both resolutions match up 1920×1080. But the iPad screen gets strechted to full screen. When it was working, half a year ago, the iPad screen on that resolution (1920×1080) was not stretched but had these black bars. Then mirrored screen worked. Now I can only extend. Cleared the windows display settings.
    Any help needed.

    This new version now supports native Android USB cable connection.

    What exactly makes you think that Windows would update the spacedesk Driver? We never heard any such idea nor such a thing happening before. What makes this even more questionable is the alledged driver date of 2010. spacedesk did not even exist in 2010 (first spacedesk version was released in 2014).

    Let us start a comprehensive analysis first. spacedesk Driver/Server is running on which Windows version? Windows 10 or Windows 11? Which spacedesk Client Viewer? We assume Android because we read your rant in the Google Play store reviews. This also sounds as if you already figured out by yourself that “Virtual Desktop” is causing exactly such behavior. There is nothing we can do about it. We cannot fix other companies’ products like e.g. “Virtual Desktop”
    BTW: You said that you already saw “all of the troubleshooting procedures viewing the forums”. Did you also see the instruction manual already? It is available on https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/

    I believe Windows keeps updating the driver Space Desk is installing because it’s from 2010. Again, this is just trouble, I wish I never installed this to my PC or Android phone.

    Original poster was right. Swipes don’t follow finger movements expected using Gesture Sign. They cling to edge of the screen when they should follow finger movement. (see photo in original post)

    It works as expected using other similar software like your own. Just bringing it to your attention and thanks for awesome application so far.

    Based on your spacedeskDiag file, you have an old version of Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000 driver.
    Driver date: 10.07.2015
    Driver Model: WDDM 1.3

    Desktop duplication of primary monitor to other displays is not supported/ disabled in Windows display settings of Windows 10 with old version of graphics adapter (with less than WDDM 2.0).
    Please try to download the latest driver version from its official website https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html.

    However, several diagnostic log files are missing.
    Please follow the steps above on how to get the diagnostic logs via spacedesk Driver Console.
    spacedesk Driver Console app generates a diagnostic folder name like “2023-01-18-XXXXX-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics” (which contains all necessary diagnostic log files), then this is the folder that you should compress (zipped).

    Are you using spacedesk as Videowall?
    Could you please try the following and check if you still get the Display Off issue.
    – switch Videowall mode to OFF
    – “Clear Windows Display settings” in spacedesk Driver Console.
    – Set your current Network profile to “Private”.
    Just open the Windows Settings -> Network & Internet -> properties of the current network, then select Private underneath Network Profile.
