    Same issue here, updated to 1.76 on my 3 iPads.

    The ones on iOS 17 are fine, 12.5.7, the app opens and immediately closes. What’s odd is that it doesn’t actually “close”

    Meaning, if you double tap the home button, the app is still there (like its loaded) but you can’t see it.

    I have a fully-updated version of Windows 11 Professional. Spacedesk is running in wired mode via USB for performance reasons. I have a rendering task running at normal priority which takes up all 20 logical cores of the computer, pinning the CPU at 100% load. Moving the mouse pointer on the Spacedesk screen when this is running with no application underneath (to interfere with pointer movement on mouse-over events with CPU contention), it is a little more laggy if spacedeskservice.exe is running at normal priority than at high priority.

    Granted, this is extreme conditions and the difference is minor. Thanks for explaining that the threads are already running at high priority. When I reported this, I probably had an application running on the second screen that was grabbing at the mouse pointer. Doing so with a blank screen shows the effect is minimal.

    no difference how the app for iPad is downloaded.

    tested both on :

    – downloaded from the same Apple ID that shares both iPhone and iPad (iPhone version working), in this case a sign of a cloud appears for downloading. App doesnt work, crashes on launch.

    – created a fresh Apple ID directly on iPad device running iOS 12.5.7
    fresh download of SpaceDesk app from AppStore. App doesnt work, crashes on launch.

    SpaceDesk client fails to start, after click on SpaceDesk icon screen becomes white for a while (like the app starting) and then SpaceDesk app crashes, without any additional info, nothing happens just back to “main screen”.

    tested on Wi-Fi disabled/enabled, device connected/unconnected to PC

    also, the same problem was on iOS 11 just before I updated the iPad, because I thouht this may depend on iOS version, but it doesnt

    thank you very much for sending the files.
    The files showed error 1726 which meant “The remote procedure call failed.” Please try the following:

    Option #1.
    In Task Manager, Services tab, the service RpcSs (Description: Remote Procedure Call (RPC)) Status should be “Running”. If not, please start it.
    Try to install spacedesk.

    Option #2 (if Option #1 did not work)
    Run a system file checker.
    Open the command prompt as admin and type sfc /scannow.
    When the scan has finished, try to install spacedesk.

    we like the idea. Nice reasoning but things are not that simple.
    spacedeskservice.exe has multiple threads (tasks). The relevant threads (encoding and transmission) are already running on high priority since spacedesk was released on 2014.

    We are really wondering why you could observe such behavior.
    Which Windows operating system are you running?
    Which other applications running that could possibly interfere with spacedesk?
    Any other ideas? For example, was there a Windows update downloading on the background slowing down network traffic? Maybe the download finished coincidently at the same time that the priority was set to high in Task Manager?

    were you able to successfully uninstall the old spacedesk driver version v1050?

    If the issue still persists, please refer to Uninstall On Windows Primary Machine chapter (https://manual.spacedesk.net/UNINSTALLONWINDOWSPRIMARYMACHINE.html) of our user manual.

    Tried installing both v2101 and v2109 on my windows 10 but always crashes with message in attached image.

    Exactly the same problem, only started today. Worked fine yesterday.
    IOS Version 12.5.7
    Wifi Connection to Windowa PC

    When the app on the ipad tried to start just flashes a blank white screen .

    I’m using a Samsung S23 Ultra, and yes, I have the USB Debugging on in the developer options, already tried turning it off and on, but still nothing.

    I can’t update Spacedesk from Win10-64-v1075-BETA to Win10-64-v2109

    I have tried Manual Uninstall from (https://manual.spacedesk.net/ManualUninstallTroubleshootingOn.html) but it doesn’t work
    I want to try Troubleshooting Uninstall from (https://www.spacedesk.net/dt-documentation/uninstall-on-windows-primary-machine/troubleshooting-uninstall/) but the version I use is not available in the list

    I uninstalled and did a manual clean up. Next I reinstalled and all is working again.

    FYI. I use space desk to drive 3 iPads for Microsoft flight simulator 2020. They are connected via usb to the pc. It’s the best solution available! 😁

    Could you please check if your primary graphics adapter is updated and has WDDM version 2.0-above.
    You can check the WDDM version by opening the dxdiag.exe then click Display tab, check the “Driver Model” underneath “Drivers” box.

    Liebes Support Team gibt es eine Möglichkeit, spacedesk auf einem iPad2 ( IOS 10.3.3) zu installieren, z.B. eine ältere Version? Obwohl im Apple AppStore beschrieben ist, dass min. IOS 9.3.5 Voraussetzung ist, bekomme ich die Meldung, dass mein iPad nicht kompatibel ist. Wäre wirklich toll und sehr nachhaltig, wenn ich meine beiden iPads weiter nutzen könnte.

    to clarify, even without USB cable, and Native Android USB option Disabled, it always goes to blackscreen automatically. is that correct?

    if so, in case the “Android USB Cable” is already enabled in spacedesk Driver Console..
    and you want to connect spacedesk via USB cable, please try the following:
    – switch OFF the “Android USB cable” in spacedesk Driver Console
    – plug USB phone cable to your primary machine and open the spacedesk viewer app (viewer settings will be accessible in this case)
    – switch ON the “Android USB cable” in spacedesk Driver Console

    If you want to connect spacedesk via WiFi, you have to switch OFF the “Android USB Cable” in spacedesk Driver Console and/or unplug the USB cable of your android phone.

    if this doesn’t work, could you please try rebooting your device? We have received old feedback from similar cases indicating that rebooting their device fixes the problem.

    I don’t remember the version but it was before the current 2109 version. I also don’t have the previous version installer anymore. But I think there was some problem while uninstalling the previous version.

    Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide some additional details?

    – What is the previous version of the spacedesk driver that you had installed?

    For the meantime,
    1. If you still have the installer for the previous version, please try to uninstall it using that specific installer.
    2. Alternatively, you can attempt to uninstall spacedesk manually by navigating to the Windows Settings -> Apps & Features tab.

    If neither of these solutions resolve the issue, please follow the steps below and provide us with the following files for further analysis:

    1. Run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save All Information,” and save the output file (dxdiag.txt).
    2. Locate the spacedeskSetup.log file in C:\Users\Public.
    3. Find the setupapi.dev.log file in C:\Windows\INF.

    In your next reply, please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, and attach the *.zip file.

    Hi all! First of all, thanks for your hard work making this software work!

    Got around (what looks like) a bug. When trying to connect a second HTML5 viewer to the server, it looks like server keeps alternating between one client and the other and eventually the whole thing crashes (both clients disconnect and the server goes off). Is this a known limitation or is it actually a bug?

    Another thing is that the HTML5 viewer currently only works on Firefox since Chrome/Brave always redirects to the https:// version of the site which doesn’t have a valid certificate.

    We still can’t find any traces of connected devices using USB…

    The last USB Android connection we saw in the diagnostics is from January 5, 2024.
    We need the latest connection WHILE Diagnostics is ON.

    We have released a new spacedesk Driver v2.1.09 on the web. this includes a potential fix for the install issue you encountered.
    To test this, just install the MSI and do not change the default destination folder (Program Files).

    yes, you are right. If USB Android option is switched ON in spacedesk Driver Console, then spacedesk Primary Machine grabs ALL USB connections to Android mobile devices. This is necessary to support multiple spacedesk Android Viewers over USB.

    To run different Android applications over USB (e.g. file transfer etc.) you need to switch OFF the USB Android option in spacedesk Driver Console. You cannot run them simultaneously with spacedesk.

    The only possible workaround is USB Tethering for connecting spacedesk Android Viewer. Then you can use other Android USB connections for different purposes simultaneously. Please check instruction manual for details about USB Tethering.

    Please try to uninstall the spacedesk manually via documentation:
    1. Troubleshooting Uninstall chapter https://manual.spacedesk.net/TroubleshootingUninstall.html

    2. If #1 did not help, then please try Manual Uninstall (Troubleshooting Only) chapter https://manual.spacedesk.net/ManualUninstallTroubleshootingOn.html

    Please reboot your primary machine (after #1 or #2) and try to re-install spacedesk by downloading the most recent spacedesk Driver from the website.

    If you still encounter a PC crash while installing, please send us the following for further analysis:
    – run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save All Information”, save the output file (dxdiag.txt)
    – spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
    – setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
    – most recent dump file (*.dmp) of your BSOD with spacedesk which is located in C:\Windows\minidump folder.

    Can you still remember and tell us the server and Client version that worked for you before you experienced this blackscreen issue?

    For further investigation about this problem, could you please send us the Diagnostic logs of this Issue?
    Just follow the steps below:
    – open spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics
    – if Debug View is not available, please click the download button first
    – switch Diagnostic Collection ON (make sure to click Yes in the User Account Control box to proceed)
    – reproduce the blackscreen issue using USB connection.
    – switch Diagnostic Collection OFF
    – click Save All Information button (if a message box appears, just click No to proceed)
    PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

    Hi,

    I use spacedesk with a Android tablet via USB with a Windows 11 PC.
    On the same PC I have connected 2 Android Mobile phones that are used as cameras with the OBS app.
    Until last week that worked flawlessly.

    But now suddenly while streaming my 2 mobile phone cameras stop working and I get a pop-up message on the mobile screen saying: “USB (spacedesk) Keine installierten Apps für dieses USB-Zubehör.”

    Spacedesk is not installed on this mobile phones and I don’t need it no this phones.

    Spacedesk from my PC seems to get a grip of my mobile phones and shuts off the OBS app.

    I would be very happy if this can be solved. Thanks for your help.

    Just an update with bug #1. based on our iOS developer, this is now an expected behavior. The on-screen menu has to be used to disconnect your iOS viewer from your server.

    We also released a new spacedesk iOS v1.75 in the store. it includes a fix for issue #2. Could you please try it and let us know if it’s working on your side?

    it seems like you have your secondary machine’s display orientation in portrait mode.
    to change this, just go to windows settings > system > display > then select your second monitor in the screen (usually display as number 2) > scroll down to display orientation > select landscape

    I have 2 laptop computers which runs on the Windows 11 22H2 or 23H2.
    First one is Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 1 (1920*1080, no touch), second one is Samsung Galaxy Book Edu 360 (2560*1600, touch and pen, 360 turn)

    My problem occurred when I connected my T14s Gen 1 (server) to Samsung device. As you can see on the png file it can’t be used. But when I connected Samsung device (server) to T14s gen 1 it worked as fine.

    Can you guys please help me with this problem.
    It is driving me bad.

    Short supplement to the previous answer: Maybe you installed version v2.1.5 of spacedesk Driver on your Windows Machine? v2.1.5 had a bug. Possibly it always shows licensing message maximized after every single Viewer connection. If you have v2.1.5 on your Windows Primary Machine, then please update to 2.1.6 Please let us know if this helped.

    In the custom resolution list, it will only show the resolution not bigger than your device’s native screen resolution which is 2000×1200.

    1280×780 seems to have the same aspect ratio as your device’s screen.

    My tablet have a resolution of 2000×1200
    But in spacedesk the markt with * is 1280×780 Stange
    I see as max resolution 1980 ×1200

    BETA versions expired on December 31st 2023.

    Please update to the newest version of spacedesk DRIVER software (v2.1.6) for Windows PC and most recent version of spacedesk VIEWER from the App-Stores (Google Play, Apple and Microsoft) or from the spacedesk website (Windows 8.1 Legacy Viewer).

    I have two Microsoft Studio 2 PCs and want to extend the display from one to the other. They are both 4500×3000 dpi. When I run spacedesk at the native resolution I get a black screen. on the extended display.
    Any ideas on how to make this work?

    When i set my screensize to 1600*1200 it is not full screen on my tablet samsung s6 lite.
    I see black bands on the wright and left why?
    So it’s not full screen

    Yes, I have reinstalled the Spacedesk app for assurance. However only 2 out of 3 of my android devices work on Native USB:

    1. Redmi K20 Pro on custom ROM (works on both LAN & native USB)
    2. Huawei Mate 10 Pro on stock ROM (works on both LAN & native USB)
    3. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 hlte on custom ROM (works only on LAN but not native USB)

    The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 seemed to have connected to the server as the touch was responsive on duplicate screen. However only black screen was shown the client. I have reinstalled Samsung USB driver, readjusted the resolution and used new USB cable. I still couldn’t get any picture to show on client. The connection seemed to only lasts for about 1 min then abruptly dropped off, however the client side doesn’t seem to show it was disconnected. Only 0 connections were shown on the spacedesk driver console.
