This type of calibration is typically performed annually or as specified by state or local regulations. Frequency of Maintenance and Calibration The frequency of maintenance and calibration depends on the usage and condition of the FWD. For FWDs used regularly, monthly relative calibration and annual reference calibration are recommended. For FWDs used less frequently, quarterly relative calibration and bi-annual reference calibration may be sufficient. Documentation Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and calibration activities. This includes dates, technicians involved, equipment used, and any findings or discrepancies noted. These records provide valuable documentation for troubleshooting issues and ensuring the FWD's continued accuracy and reliability.
