January 10, 2023 at 5:10 am #11490spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @aitorus,
Was it USB tethering connection with your USB cable?
Does your tablet supports USB tethering?January 13, 2023 at 8:37 pm #11558johnliemParticipantHello Lea is USB tethring better than WIFi connection?
January 14, 2023 at 9:32 am #11560AitorusParticipantIt was a connection, USB cable (PC) – Type-C (Android Tablet).
Understanding that the requirements, if it covers them.January 14, 2023 at 4:04 pm #11564johnliemParticipantokay thank you.
January 16, 2023 at 2:03 am #11574spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @aitorus,
Native USB cable connection is not yet supported in the current spacedesk BETA version.
For now, you can do USB tethering connection (if your android device supports it).
To setup a USB tethering connection, please refer to the Performance Tuning -> Network Bandwidth -> USB Tethering chapter in the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_509.FYI: Native Android USB cable connection will be available very soon.
Hi @johnliem,
Wired connection tends to have better performance than wireless connection (that goes through the router).
The fastest option is always a direct connection via network cable or USB cable (by USB tethering).
Please refer to the Performance tuning chapter in the user manual https://forum.spacedesk.netuser-manual/#item_505.January 19, 2023 at 6:57 am #11639spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @aitorus and @johnliem,
We just released a new spacedesk Driver v1.0.54.
This new version now supports native Android USB cable connection.
You just have to enable it via spacedesk Driver Console -> Communication Interfaces -> Android USB Cable.
Please try it and let us know if it works on your side.January 19, 2023 at 7:12 am #11641johnliemParticipantNice thanks, I will try this evening and will let you know.

January 27, 2023 at 10:39 am #11810johnliemParticipantwhen I use wired connection (USB connection), it works fine when I start spacedesk viewer on my tablet before my pc start, but when I turn on the spacedesk after my pc, often it does not work , is there any workaround how to fix this?
January 30, 2023 at 9:39 am #11841spacedesk LeaKeymasterHi @johnliem,
Thank you very much for the feedback.
We are currently investigating this issue and trying to reproduce it.
Can you further describe what is happening?
Does it show black screen in the viewer app upon USB connection?
Can you easily reproduce this issue? Will it eventually work after a few times of USB cable plug-unplug?
Could you please send us the steps on how to reproduce it?February 4, 2023 at 7:48 pm #11909johnliemParticipantI did reply to this via my phone but it seems something going wrong, so just will let you know that since I update my windows 11 the issue is gone. I do not have that issue anymore.
