I frequently use the windows screen snip tool for my work and recently started using an iPad as a secondary/tertiary screen. When I use a windows device as a secondary display with spacedesk (via LAN), I can screen snip without any issues. However, when I use my ipad (whether it be as a second or third display), I can only snip within a somewhat random region of the screen. I recorded a video in which I have my dual display (running Windows 11 on both machines) and can snip without any issues. When I turn on my iPad as a third display then you can see the issue I described. Here’s a video showcasing the issue: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XOw_bWyQrMT7xrMUd1Hw17fcDU2WoiWU/view?usp=drive_link
This also happens if I just use my main display + iPad a secondary display (i.e. dual monitor setup). Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thank you very much. It appears that the problem is not related to spacedesk, but is instead a known scaling issue with Windows. We have also experienced this issue once even without spacedesk connected.
We found some links that contain very similar issues which might help.

April 20, 2024 at 1:22 pm #26584dougw03ParticipantThank you Christian – as always your support is outstanding. It was indeed a scaling issue. The challenge I now have is I use an ultra-wide with relatively low pixels per inch along with my iPad which is a very high PPI display. If I keep the Windows scaling on the iPad at 125% then everything is miniscule. Should I try running a custom resolution to workaround this? Any other ideas?

Yes, for now, you may try to use a custom resolution and see if you can find a workaround with the resolution and scaling. -
