What can be considered as commercial use.

Hello everyone,

First I must commend the spacedesk team for creating such an amazing piece of innovation.

But please I wish to know if the extent of my use of the software qualifies as private use or commercial use.

I’m a software engineer, and I wish to use Spacedesk for my PRIVATE/PERSONAL day to day work by using it to split screens for better productivity.

Please does such use demand a purchase of the license or not.

I’ll appreciate any quick response.

Hi @okpainmo,
If the user earns money with the use (e.g. as an employee of a company) then it is business and thus not free. If the user does not earn money with the use (e.g. for playing games) then it qualifies for free use.
since you are using it inside the company and using it to earn, then it means you have to purchase the license.
