After installing spacedesk, Corsair Icue crashes on my machine after a (re)boot of windows 11. Restarting Icue crashes it again. After uninstalling the windows app all is fine again, untill I try a new install and connection.
Running the latest version of windows 11, the latest version of Icue 5, a samsung tab 3 (which does connect both over ethernet and usb when using spacedesk.
I do need Icue for corsair device control
some help would be appreciated

we tried to reproduce your problem with iCUE software installed. But we could not reproduce your observation. Probably because we do not have any Corsair devices. Can you please find out to which specific connected Corsair device this problem is related to (connect/disconnect devices individually)? Or does it happen on your side even without any connected Corsair devices?
Are any of your Corsair devices connected via USB? You could also try to disable “USB Cable Driver Android” option in spacedesk Driver Console. Is the problem still happening without “USB Cable Driver Android” option activated?- This reply was modified 2 months, 4 weeks ago by spacedesk Marcel.
September 16, 2024 at 9:00 am #28205Edward1960ParticipantHi, I’ll try to be more specific. If I install spacedesk on the pc and not yet start it on the android tab all goes well, whether I turn spacedesk on the computer on or off does not matter. Please note the screenshot “starting point”. Please note the settings: usb is off, spacedesk is on and recognizes my dual 10gb network cards. Then I exit icue and restart Icue, all is still ok.
Now I turn on my android tab and start spacedesk on the samsung tab 3. It connects the screen, so spacedesk works. When I now exit Icue and restart (or reboot or start the computer) Icue crashes. No malfunctioning items in device manager. See screenshot “Crash”. With the computer still on, I then turn off spacedesk on the computer, and Icue can be started again and works (see screenshot “works again”). Strangely while turning off Spacedesk, it get a beep in windows which normally indicates it stops a usb device, while I have usb turned off in Spacedesk. If I turn spacedesk on, I get a beep that I think indicates it starts a usb device again (even while usb connection is turned off. To me as an amateur it seems like this usb thing kills Icue…. If you have further questions, please let me know EdwardAttachments:

I connected Spacedesk to my fold 6 phone, which is of course brand new with all the latest android and Samsung versions, and the behaviour of spacedesk is the same, it still crashes Icue when turned on. So it is not the old software on an old android tablet…… Edward

Can iCUE detect non-Corsair devices and still show it in its Dashboard?
If this is the case, could you please try the following?
– Connect spacedesk Viewer app then open Device Manager. Go to View -> Devices by connection (please see attached screenshot).
– Look for spacedesk virtual Bus and expand it.
– Select spacedesk Mouse, right click on it then select “Disable device”.
– Open iCUE.Please let us know if iCUE still crashes after trying the steps above.

September 27, 2024 at 9:17 am #28400spacedesk NicoleKeymasterHi @edward1960,
incompatibility to other software applications is quite challenging to resolve.
We can only suggest to contact Corsair and send the crash report to them.October 9, 2024 at 12:15 pm #28540Edward1960ParticipantHi, an update: With Spacedesk 2.1.23 and Icue 5.19.104 the issue has gone away. Spacedesk can now be used together with Icue.
