connect ios ipad via USB tethering

This blog post https://manual.spacedesk.net/USBTetheringiOSandAndroid.html suggests that usb tethering is possible. However, ipads do not have a mobile network. How do we tether using usb on an ipad without mobile network?

Hi @cascom,
Unfortunately, using USB tethering with your iPad is not possible as it requires cellular support.
You can instead try connecting over WiFi Direct.
