Mouse input is passed to Windows as touch input, which means that right click and other mouse functions don’t quite work properly. Most other remoting desktop software I’ve used behaves in the same way, except for Moonlight game stream which does passthrough the correct mouse input. Any way to get this as a feature request? Thanks!
Mouse input should work fine with spacedesk Viewer for Windows. Which spacedesk Viewer are you talking about? Android? This is not trivial since Android is a touch operating system which doesn not seem to natively supply the mouse events needed for this.
Thank you very much for this input. We had a first look. Indeed it appears as if spacedesk could possibly do this, too. We will work on it next week. If possible, we will release a new version of spacedesk Viewer for Android supporting mouse passthrough.
Hey, following this up, the last time I was ablet to use Spacedesk (current version no longer works for some reason), mouse passthrough is still not working, and the right click still isn’t detected as such. Is this still in the pipe for release?
Yes, it works like if it was a touch screen, you can long press, but that is not a good option with a physical mouse, and it makes it a pain to use a ton of software, like 3d applications that rely on holding the right button for navigation. Also it makes it impossible to use any games, for example. Native right click would be a much better solution, like Moonlight streaming does.
