Server PC: Windows 11 Enterprise
⇒Spacedesk Driver:v2.1.23
Client PC: Mac OS Monterey ver 12.7.6In the above environment, I want to use the spacedesk HTML5 VIEWER on the Client PC to view the screen of the Server PC.
However, starting last week, the connection suddenly stopped working, and I am unsure of the cause.
Could you provide some advice?
The network address specified in the HTML5 VIEWER was correct. When I try to connect,
the error message ‚Could not connect. Connection Timeout. Make sure your Server-IP is correct.‘ appears.Attachments:

Can you try saving the HTML5 Viewer on your viewer machine then see if works on your end? For additional details, you may refer to the User Manual under the section Run on any Machine in HTML5 Web browser. Thank you!

francoOktober 4, 2024 um 6:30 am Uhr #28493mamesukeTeilnehmerThank you.
I tried the method from the link, but the issue wasn’t resolved.
The error message has now changed to ‚Could not connect. Could not create WebSocket.‘
The Client PC’s name still doesn’t appear on the Local Area Network.Attachments:

Which browser did you use? Can you try the solution I gave earlier with either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome? Thank you.
Oktober 4, 2024 um 6:59 am Uhr #28496mamesukeTeilnehmerThank you.
Since the Client PC is a Mac, I used Google Chrome to try the solution you suggested earlier, but it didn’t resolve the issue.
The version of Google Chrome is up to date.Oktober 4, 2024 um 8:15 am Uhr #28497francoTeilnehmer@maesuke
just for information:
the IOS Client from the Ipad has in my case no Problem to connect to the Windows Spacedesk Server ( works fine) .From Android with Chrom on Tablet, HTML5 cant connet.Oktober 4, 2024 um 8:49 am Uhr #28498spacedesk RenzAdministratorHi @mamesuke,
Sorry, can I ask you to try again in Google Chrome by doing the following: click on the three dot menu on the top right side of the browser, select “Cast, save, and share“ then click on „Save page as…“
If you still encounter an error, please post it on your next reply. As to the first error you encountered, we are currently looking into it and will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you.
Oktober 4, 2024 um 3:03 pm Uhr #28506mamesukeTeilnehmerAfter trying the method you suggested, I was able to display the Server PC’s screen on the Client PC using the HTML5 Viewer.
Thank you! The issue is resolved.Oktober 4, 2024 um 4:08 pm Uhr #28507francoTeilnehmerServus, what was the Solution you had done ? still here with the same issue ?
thx
francoOktober 7, 2024 um 12:11 am Uhr #28511mamesukeTeilnehmer@franco,
I followed the solution you provided by clicking on the three dot menu on the top right side of the browser, selecting ‚Cast, save, and share,‘ and then clicking on ‚Save page as…‘.
After that, I was able to connect using the HTML5 Viewer.
Since my default browser is Safari, I am currently connected via Safari.Oktober 7, 2024 um 4:26 am Uhr #28515ggrintonTeilnehmerI have the same issue. I can connect from iOS without any problems, but the Mac will not connect. Chrome gives the error „Could not connect. Connection Timeout“ and Safari says „Could not connect. Could not create websocket.“ I tried the „Cast/save/share“ suggestion, but then trying to connect using the created link just gives a timeout on both browsers (without askng what IP address to connect to.). The Websockets test says everything is OK.
All suggestions would be welcome thanks.- Diese Antwort wurde geändert vor 1 Monat, 2 Wochen von ggrinton.
Oktober 7, 2024 um 4:49 am Uhr #28517ggrintonTeilnehmerFollow-up: When I did the „Cast/save/share“ from the green initial page, rather than the red page showing the error message, the connection using the saved link worked correctly. I still had to enter the correct IP address.
I hope this might help someone else.
Oktober 8, 2024 um 1:57 pm Uhr #28535shuoiTeilnehmerI am having the same issue.
When connecting through Amazon Silk, the browser for Echo Show 8, it used to work just fine but for about a week or so it doesn’t connect.
It doesn’t seem like there’s an option in Amazon Silk to save the file and run from it, so the provided workaround doesn’t apply to me.No changes were made in my Windows server settings and the connection works for Android Viewer App, the issue seems to be the HTML viewer itself.
What else can I do?
Oktober 9, 2024 um 1:32 am Uhr #28536spacedesk RenzAdministratorHi @shuoi,
We are currently investigating the issue with the HTML5 viewer and will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you.
