Showing Taskbar on Spacedesk window = 6.5Mbps network traffic

I’m just curious, what is causing network traffic when the Windows Taskbar is shown on the Spacedesk client monitor, even when there is no other window on same?

If I set Taskbar to „Automatically hide,“ then there is almost no network traffic, but once Taskbar is shown then Spacedesk is constantly streaming ~6.5Mbps.

My setup: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro (i7-4500U, 8GB), Windows 11 Home, wired 1GB ethernet LAN. Apple iPad MC955LL/A, iPadOS v9.3.5(13G36)

Hi @ToddP,

This network behavior is expected and unavoidable, as the driver continues to receive frame updates from the operating system. That’s why the network displays dynamic data when there is a visible taskbar in the client.
