    It was the menu Settings: I tried to turn the driver OFF, then it crashed.

    Problem apparently solved, but pen still too laggy, even with the lowest quality settings all over.

    I installed spacedesk this morning and it worked perfectly, but when i tried opening it again an error popped up and i couldn’t run the software correctly.

    For clarification, so the problem is that you can only cast the screen, meaning you can only duplicate/mirror your desktop screen on your android viewer app, is that correct? MyAARPMedicare
    And you want to extend the screen?
    If yes, you can easily switch to extension mode via display settings window or display switch (Windows logo + p hotkey -> Extend)

    Follow-up- if you have splashtop WiredX display, there’s an Advance option in their settings window, make sure to uninstall the Virtual display driver there, then you can use spacedesk after that.

    Hi @viviane,

    The BSOD occurred when I tried to change Settings in the driver window (primary machine).

    Is it in the display settings window? Or spacedesk server menu settings?
    Can you specify which settings exactly are you trying to change?

    After installing the driver the Win10 starting Menu stopped working. I had to reboot the computer.

    Is it consistently happening? Or only after installation?
    It seems like a window explorer is crashing or hanging.. To verify, when it happens again please open the task manager then find the Windows Explorer, right-click -> Restart it. Then try again to click/open the Windows start button.

    Yes, looks like an issue on your Surface GO device.
    Please make sure that the system is updated (there’s no pending Windows Update).
    And also make sure that your graphics adapter on Surface is updated too.

    Can you please send the dxdiag info of your Surface GO?
    Just run dxdiag.exe on your Surface GO, click „Save All Information“, then attach the output file (dxdiag.txt) on your next reply.

    Please try the Install/Uninstall troubleshooter program from the Microsoft Fix article *just click the link*.
    Once you are in the Microsoft Fix article, just click the „Download troubleshooter“ button, and it will download the MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab, run it and select „Uninstalling“, if spacedesk is not on the program list, just select “Not Listed” then paste the product code of current spacedesk version below.

    Hi @fred,
    it seems that the viewer is continuously trying to reconnect despite the possible error occurring on your primary machine upon connection attempt.
    Could you please check if the auto-reconnect is enabled on your iOS viewer app, then disable it and try again to connect. Then let us know if it gives any error code/info with connection time.
    Then also check if there’s an error notification on your primary machine upon connection attempt.

    For further analysis, could you also please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click „Save All Information“, then attach the output file (dxdiag.txt) on your next reply.

    By the way, please update to most recent spacedesk Driver v1.0.8 available on our website.

    Hello, I have an iPad 2017 full updated and when I tap on my automatically found PC IP address to connect, it shows this text: „Connected, display off“ or somethings like this. At the same time as I do that, my PC does the unplug sound every „n“ seconds and all the times it does that my resolution change or my monitor shut down. I don’t support Miracast cause I don’t have Wireless module, so I’m obviously trying to connect them with my iPad connected to the USB port.

    I think that I found the conflicting software. The software is called Winlock professional. It is a paid security program. You can find it in the below link.

    It does not hang every single time. It would either do so each time or once every 2-3 times.

    Winlock professional conflicts with Internet Explorer but it does not hang the Explorer.exe.

    Maybe a newer version would not conflict with it but I just have an old version and an upgrade is not free.

    Space desk connects normally when I disable the Winlock. Which is a workaround.

    Please let me know if you need more information.

    Will it always be free or is that just during the Beta testing phase?

    On your web site: „splashtop wired XDisplay needs to be uninstalled (it still installs an incompatible old legacy WDDM Filter Hook driver which cannot coexist with other similar products like spacedesk even though it doesn’t even seem to use this old driver any more).“

    In Slashtop’s program, in the Advanced, section there is an option to install and uninstall their virtual display driver. If the virtual display driver is uninstalled then SpaceDesk works fine. There is no requirement to completely uninstall slashtop.

    Hi @Lea
    I’ve tried to check whether my laptop can connect to other monitor or not
    By pressing the “ windows + p “ button “ and it said it can’t.

    So i checked on device manager and my display driver was microsoft basic,
    so i updated the driver and now it can connect to other monitor.

    I don’t know that would fix the issue or not, to be more sure i would like
    to hear your analysis as well.

    I’m still experiencing this problem and would like to pursue it. I’m running the viewer on a Samsung S7+.
    my Windows machine is using Beta Version 1.0.7
    Android is using v0.9.73

    I’ve rebooted and I’ve explicitly run services.msc and restarted the spacedesk service. Still to no avail.

    I have been using and updating Spacedesk for about 2 years so far.

    I am using it between Windows 8.1 and Android Lollipop.

    It was more stable a while ago at around version 0.9.44 .

    The current issue now is that as soon as I connect the Windows explorer hangs and I need to restart the explorer.exe and sometimes it would keep on hanging until I stop the Spacedesk service and starting it again.

    This issue showed up in the past 2 updates. I am not sure if this issue started after I did a Windows update or just from the latest Spacedesk updates. I do have over 50 programs running in the background as well but even with it, it was always more stable than it has been lately.

    Spacedesk has been at Beta for a several years since it started. I assume that is because it is not easy to get it to be 100% stable. Will it always be free or is that just during the Beta testing phase? (All other similar products are not free).

    Let me know if you need more information. I will most probably be downgrading it back to an older version by the end of this week.

    The Graphics card is Intel.

    Spacedesk an amazing program, just needs to be more stable.

    The second screen connects properly and the mouse input also works, but not the touch, neither the pen. However, the spacedesk Driver window in the primary machine (Win 10) shows „No remote connection“, and nothing happens when I try to change the „Settings“ to, for instance, OFF. I receive a popup message „Dou you really want to disable…“, I choose „Yes“, but nothing changes. The tablet is connected through wi-fi hotspot, and everything is updated (NVIDIA driver 471.41)
    NoPenNoTouch.

    We are currently fixing this issue.
    We will get back to you as soon as we have new version for you to test.

    In the meantime, restarting the spacedeskService instead of reinstalling the spacedesk driver might help.
    Just run services.msc on your primary machine, find spacedeskService then right-click restart it.

    Hello, dear developer;)

    I’m a user from China. I found a problem when using it
    Environment: win10 (main display, spacedesk version 1.0.7), Android (secondary display, spacedesk version 0.9.55)
    There was no problem with NVIDIA driver version 27.21.14.6647, but after I upgraded to version 27.21.14.7141, I could only cast the screen on Android instead of clicking the mouse on the control installation. I don’t know if it doesn’t support the latest version of driver. I can only return NVIDIA driver version 27.21.14.6647 (solved the problem)
    PS: when will the official version come out? expect

    Thanks for sending the requested files.

    The dump analysis shows a crashing Intel Graphics driver (igdkmd64.sys).
    We can’t tell if it was the spacedesk driver that causes it to crash, there’s not much details in the (stack) trace.
    In any case, spacedesk bugs on our Windows 7/8.1 driver will not be fixed any more.
    Further improvements (e.g. bug fixing and feature implementation) on Windows 10 spacedesk driver is our priority at the moment.
    If you like, you can upgrade to Window 10 and the BSOD (blue screen of death) will most likely gone.

    Hi, I was able to use my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite S-Pen yesterday. However, the feature can not be and it prompts up the msg.

    Unsupported feature on server-side
    You cannot use the stylus feature with your current Windows-PC spacedesk Driver.

    Thereafter, I have download and install the latest version of spacedesk v1.0.7. However, the issue remains unresolved. Please help.

    Thanks for the reply. At least I now know that I am not doing something wrong.

    Is this likely to change in future? My expectation would be that the mouse pointer becomes active on whichever screen I touch.

    Anyway I am still very happy with Spacedesk as a multi-screen solution 🙂

    Yes, as you have observed that is the current design of Touch feature in the current spacedesk Beta version.
    The actual touch screen (no more mouse pointer) will be supported on first connected viewer app.
    Then on the next viewer connection it will use the old spacedesk absolute touch (with mouse pointer visible).
