    How are you measuring the fps?
    What content are you playing while measuring fps?
    Please give us more information about your Primary Machine running spacedesk Driver.
    To do so, please send us the diagnostic info of your primary machine.

    Just open the spacedesk Driver Console -> Diagnostics, click the “Save All Information” button.
    If message box appear, please click “Yes” and it will restart as Administrator, then click again the “Save All Information” button.

    PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

    Please try to reboot your machine and then check again if the issue is still happening.
    if it is, try to repair your spacedesk Windows Driver using its corresponding MSI Installer.

    Po ostatniej aktualizacji spacedesk zniknąl z mojego komputera gdy chcialam ponownie go zainstalowac wyswietla sie komunikat ze najpierw trzeba usunąc poprzednie wersje. Space desk nie wyswietla sie w ,,Panelu Sterowania,, po wpisaniu spacedesk w wyszukiwaniu pojawiaja sie pliki gdy klikam by odnalesc lokalizacje pliku wyskakuje komunikat ze plik nie istanieje POOOmoocyyy

    I updated instant and the problem has just moved, but is not really fixed. In the taskbar the app still is shown.

    Cause: If you check the „Hide Connection Window“ that won’t be saved. After a restart the option is unchecked again and you will have to click it again. If that option will saved the problem would be fixed forever. Keep on goin guys, it’s nearly fixed.

    We just released a new spacedesk Windows Driver which is now available on our download page (http://www.spacedesk.net) This update includes changes for spacedesk Service Tray Window. It can now be hidden and won’t pop up again upon client connection, just right-click on the spacedesk icon inside the system tray -> then choose „Hide Connection Window“.
    Please Update your spacedesk Windows Driver to BETA RC v1.0.71 and let us know your feedback about this update.

    Are you upgrading from v1.0.44 to v1.0.70?
    Please try to uninstall first the old existing version that is installed on your primary Machine. You can do this via v1.0.44 msi installer (remove) or via the Control panel then try to install the latest spacedesk Windows Driver version.

    Version failed to install on Windows 10:

    First fail happen on update from 1.0.44 version, then the previous version was fully uninstalled. Rebooted several times. Old version (1.0.44) installs without any problem (but the image is b/w because of deprecation). Is there the way to download newer but not the last version on Spacedesktop drivers?

    Thank you very much for the information. Even though your manual registry removal seems to work on your machine, the officially suggested manual removal procedure is different. It is described in spacedesk instruction manual chapters „UNINSTALL ON WINDOWS PRRIMARY MACHINE“ paragraphs „Troubleshooting Uninstall“ ( https://manual.spacedesk.net/TroubleshootingUninstall.html ) and „Manual Uninstall“ ( https://manual.spacedesk.net/ManualUninstallTroubleshootingOn.html ).

    I fixed the same problem on my PC. I went into Regedit and did a search for SPACEDESK. I deleted all entries that it found. Some it couldn’t delete and I left it. I rebooted my PC and I checked the control panel and Spacedesk is no longer there. I then installed a new version of Spacedesk and installed without an issue. Hope this helps.

    The schedule for spacedesk native USB cable support:
    – On Apple iOS: USB cable support is soon to come (expected late 2023)
    – On Android: USB cable support is already available (since early 2023)

    In the meantime on iOS:
    – Use USB-Tethering in the meantime (if the device supports it).
    – Bypassing router can achieve almost similar performance as does USB. Configure Windows PC or Android device as WiFi Access Point (Hotspot) and connect to it before connecting spacedesk. Please check chapter „Performance Tuning“ in the instruction manual.

    Hi,
    I have one usb hub pluged in my pc but the tablet is pluged in the pc directly. I also updated Spacedesk to the new version. While the Installation it said „deinstalling Android SDK“. I forgot that I installed it, but it themes like the problem is still there. Deleting cache and data also didnt made a difference.

    Hello!

    Well, I gotta say I love SpaceDesk, been using it since 2020 with my old iPad 4 as a Second Screen for my University classes. It is great because much people as me can use it to give use to a device that has passed its time to go to discard…

    As for such, talking with a coleague, one problem of our old devices (iPads 4) are not actually the screen, but the old Wifi board standard. He, differently from me, preffered to use Duet Display, that has USB support and therefore, better speeds and connection, but it recently became a SUPER expensive subscription, that represents a lot of value for a old device as ours. To pay 60$ a year, I would prefer to buy a actual portable monitor, right?

    So, as a lots of people enjoy SpaceDesk from using old devices that no longer has support from modern standards, having a USB connection would solve every problem we have with connections. We could increase resolution and refresh rate to give it a more native-ish experience, and I would personally buy it if necessary.

    DuetDisplay became ridiculous, and there is a big oportunity to snap users that are tired of it and seeking for a better overall cost-benefit experience.

    I notice the new version has better latency, my mouse feels a lot less laggy. Is that the case? Could that be related to the high CPU usage?

    Here’s a video of me turning off the spacedesk service. Note how the leftmost core on the third row drop as I turn it off.

    After turning it back on is fine and the CPU usage is super fine.

    hi christian,

    there is no special event triggering the high cpu load. it just occurs by the time while displaying just a static windows desktop. spacedesk viewer quality settings: image quality 100, encoding color depth: high color quality, slow speed (yuv 4.4.4), custom fps rate: 60 fps. the spacedesk server machine is a dual gpu (intel hd graphics 530 + nvidia quadro m4000m). as i am currently back on 1.0.67 i will post screenshot of the high cpu load plus diagnostics data later on.

    The current version of spacedesk Windows 7 viewer doesn’t have an option to hide the „x“ button during full-screen mode. However, would you consider scaling down your display size within the viewer? just as much as the „x“ button is outside of the active screen display. Upon establishing a connection and entering full-screen mode > just scale down using the scroll button of the mouse in your client machine.

    As of now, there’s no alternative method to use spacedesk without disabling Nvidia shadowplay/instant replay. however, you can try exploring other third-party products that offer the same recording feature which might be compatible with spacedesk.

    Which viewer are you using with your Windows tablet? Windows 7/Windows 10?
    The problem you are encountering is a known issue on some touchscreen-capable Windows clients, and we already have a fix for it. We will include the fix in one of the future releases of spacedesk Viewers and will notify you once it is ready for download.

    Hey, I got an old Windows tablet (convertible) and I installed Spacedesk to turn into a monitor for my main PC. My problem is that the touchscreen (both with finger and pen) doesn’t seem to work in Spacedesk, while the touchscreen outside of Spacedesk work as intended.

    To be exact, I placed the tablet’s display on the left of my main monitor and when tapping the tablet’s screen – even if the mouse is on the tablet’s monitor – the cursor goes to the bottom left of the main monitor.

    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Are you plugging your USB Android cable directly to your primary machine’s USB port? Or are you maybe using a USB hub?
    Can you also please try to clear your spacedesk Android Viewer app cache+data in your android tablet settings?

    I’m new to spacedesk and using it on an iPad to control an application runnign on a Windows 11 machine . One thing I’m not seeing is how to press a Windows function key .. Eg F1, F2 … F12 ? They are important to the application i’m trying to run. Cant find anythiing in the docs.. Any help much appreciated !

    Thanks for the derivation, Christian. So I’ve tried dialing down my settings to 0 image quality and low bit color and it still feels like there is a noticeable amount of latency on my 1GbE connection. I don’t want to drop to 30Hz because that will defeat the purpose. I monitor the statistics and it seems I can’t ever get above 20fps. Does Spacedesk cap FPS? Is there anything else I can adjust to make this seem like more of a seamless connection or do I need to go buy some 10GbE adapters or is this just a limitation of the software? Thanks

    Thanks for reporting this issue, we will be investigating this on our side.
    -Could you please check if there’s a recent *.dmp file found in “C:\Windows\minidump” folder and in “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\WDF” folder. Just check the most recent one with timestamp today, zip it and send it to us.
    -Could you also monitor the spacedeskService.exe’s Dedicated and Shared GPU Memory for any leaks before it crashes? or how high does it get before the crash? just go to task manager > details > right click on the column header > ’select columns‘ and check the Dedicated and Shared GPU memory.

    For the meantime, here are some things you can try for your game…
    1. is your VPN active while playing the game? if so, please try to disable it and restart both programs.
    2. try to allocate more system resources for the game by
    – running the game > minimize it and go to task manager
    > go to the details tab and locate the Valorant.exe > right click on that process and select ‚High‘ under the ’set priority option‘
    3. try to recalibrate your in-game settings specifically in the graphics sections..if you are using high settings, try to use medium for all graphic settings.
    4. check again for any pending driver update in Nvidia.

    Hi, I’ve encounter this issue that I think is only native to Valorant. Whenever I play Valorant, using a Windows main device, and a windows second monitor/viewer. After a few minutes of playing the game, my main system would just freeze entirely and I would have to shut down and restart my device. I’m not sure how to get logs as my computer just freezes whenever the bug were to happen. I’ve started another thread about this same issue a while back and closed it because I thought the issue was resolved after updating my drivers, but nope it’s still present :(.

    I believe I’ve been able to capture the issue in the spacedesk logs for diagnostic information.

    Audio Speaker option in spacedesk Windows 7 Viewer app will be disabled if:
    – there’s NO real audio/speaker device active in your Windows secondary machine
    – already active in the first instance of a connected viewer app

    if the above factors are not the cause of the Issue..Could you please try to reset the viewer settings in your secondary machine, just follow the steps below:
    – open the “Registry Editor” by running “regedit”
    – go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\datronicsoft
    – right-click -> Delete the “spacedesk” key underneath

    Then try to run again the spacedesk Windows 7 Viewer app.

    Hi, I hope someone can help.
    I have an external touch screen attached to my Laptop as a second screen and it works fine.
    I have now connected 2 x Ipads to the laptop as well using spacedesk,
    However when I run the spacedesk server and the Ipads, it interferes with my existing touch screen and disables the touch screen ability.
    when I turn spacedesk off it starts to work fine again

    I hope there is a solution for this

    Sorry if this has already been answered but I’ve searched in a lot of places for this and haven’t found anything for it.

    I’m trying to find a solution where I can use my MacBook Pro as a second monitor for my Windows Laptop. Ideally this would be corded since other solutions I’ve found, like with Duet, have only been wireless and their wireless solution is super laggy. I just want to know if this is possible with Spacedesk.

    spacedesk includes various device drivers. Device driver software can only be installed on Windows if holding admin priviles or individually assigned privilege. This is a Windows security feature which cannot be circumvented.

    Multi-touch feature is yet to be supported in iOS. As of now, only the Windows 10 viewer and Android viewer app support multi-touch. We will let you know once this feature becomes available in iOS.
    On the other hand, Could you try to disable the pen input in the spacedesk iOS app settings for your touch problem? just tap the gear icon > input device > click the pen icon and disable it.

    Not sure if Chromebook supports USB tethering.
    If it is, try to setup a direct private network connection between your Windows primary machine and Chromebook via USB cable.

    Unfortunately, using USB tethering with your iPad is not possible as it requires cellular support.
    You can instead try connecting over WiFi Direct.

    Hello, I’m using space desk with my android tablette and my android phone, boh via USB.
    Sometime I just want the table and but still I want the phone to charge on the USB. Unfortunatly every second spacedesk ask me to accept the phone. How can I solve this?
