    Thank you for your time & patience. I did use static IP but to no avail.

    I think that the gigabit bandwidth is simply not enough as I was able to use 5 gigabit ethernet for uncompressed 1080p/60 fps. I did the same on an android smartphone which has a 10 gigabit usb c connected to a computer with usb 3.1 gen2.

    I was wondering if it’s possible to use type c or usb 3.1 to link 2 computers in spacedesk?

    Hi @jptang2,

    spacedesk does not work with VPN enabled most of the time.
    That’s why we always advise the users to disable it.
    In some cases it works and just needs a workaround.

    Hi @david-p,

    Yes you can simulate an 8k virtual monitor with spacedesk.
    Just enable the videowall mode, then create a video wall by assigning a client to a wall.
    The default dimension of a spacedesk video wall is 4K (3840×2160) but you can modify it and set an 8K resolution.

    Hi @sicey,
    Is it the display scaling on your main monitor or in spacedesk display?
    These are probably the reasons:
    1. Outdated graphics adapter driver. Please make sure to update your main graphics adapter.
    2. The monitor maybe does not support display scaling in a 720p resolution.

    hello, the problem is this: I want to connect a laptop on windows 10 x32 to a pc on windows 11 x64. everything connects, does not crash, but at the same time, on the laptop there is just a black screen in the program window. Both PCs have the latest software and drivers installed.

    Hi, I have an Chromebook in which I use as a 2nd monitor, just recently, I switched to limited wifi data. Spacedesk is a good alternative to a second monitor, and I would like to continue using it. After further research, I’ve found out that Spacedesk does not support USBs with Chromebooks. Is it recommended to use space desk for about 5 hours a day, daily? It would be very helpful to know how much data Spacedesk uses every minute. So my main question is, will it hog the limit, or does it use very little bandwidth?

    Unfortunately, the current ‚hide taskbar icon‘ feature is the only way to temporarily disable spacedesk Service Tray Window as of now.

    How long before the lag/unresponsiveness happens when using the USB connection with Air Manager for MSFS2020?
    Does it also happen with other games/apps? Or only when using MSFS2020?
    Can you please check if there’s a high CPU/Memory/GPU usage on your primary machine via task manager when it happens?

    Thanks for the Reply Lea,

    When you asked me to check if the speedtest was at 4-6 Mbs while loading MFSF without Spacedesk, I’ve found out that it was in fact the reality.

    I just found out that on Lenovo Tower Legion system, there is an option ‚Network Boost‘ that create a restriction to all applications.

    I have disabled the Option and I do have 2 Ipad connected simultaneously during MSFS 2020 session and everything works fine now.

    I apprecate your help and thank you for helping me out.

    spacedesk is still in BETA. No matter if corporate or private use, spacedesk BETA is free until it will expire. Current version will expire December 31, 2023 (future BETA versions might possibly expire on a later future date). After expiry there will be either a new BETA version or clients can be purchased in the App-Stores. Possibly there will still be a free version with basic functionality.

    Small scale corporate licensing is not available. Currently we only offer source code and unlimited corporate licenses for System Integrators (e.g. manufacturers of medical devices, conference room equipment, PCs and hardware).

    If you are a System Integrator or if you have further questions about licensing, please don’t hesitate to post here. If necessary we might also contact you by email.

    Thanks for the reply.

    When my client Ipad is connected to the server everything works well. I do a speedtest on the server and I reach over 400 Mps. The I pad works fine and I am able to run different applications such as a Broweser, Microsoft Words, etc…

    As soon as I start MSFS 2020, my Ipad client srart being very slow. At that point, I receive the message ‚Low Bandwidth‘ on the server and my Ipad get disconnected. At that point, If I do a speedtest, I only reach 4-6 Mbs.

    Nothing else is connected, in the environment (No Android connected).

    Looks like the problem might be a compatibility issue with MSFS or the Invidia card?

    My environment:
    Intel i9 12900k
    32 Gb RAM
    NVIDIA RTX3080

    For clarification, you got 5-6mbs network bandwidth when you start MSFS 2020, correct?
    Can you quickly check without spacedesk viewer connected, and just run MSFS2020 on your machine and check again your network bandwidth.

    Aside from iOS Viewer (from iPad), is there other viewer app connected (e.g. android viewer) when you received the „low network bandwidth“ notification?
    Current spacedesk Driver version should not trigger the „Low Network Bandwidth“ warning message if you only have iOS Viewer app connected. This should only be shown if you have android viewer app connected.

    I am using macbook air with M1 chip, have Parallels Desktop installed because some MS-office app only runs well in Windows. It should be a virtual Windows11 Pro. I wish to extend the monitor with the virtual windows. But after installed the Wins10/11 64-bit version, the DRIVER Console won’t work, saying the app can’t run on my PC.

    Is there a fix ?

    I will try it.

    Unfortunatly, I have tried to connect with Ipad via wireless. It works fine until I start MSFS 2020. At that moment I receive the Message ‚Low Bandwith‘ and then the ipad client get disconnected. I have tried serveral set up in the client but still the same problem. At that moment if I do a speed test with the server, I get 5-6 mbs when normally id have 400 mbs.
    Is there something I have missed somwhere?

    Thanks for the reply.
    Unfortunately, we cannot open the zip file (and it’s not the right diagnostic folder we need for analysis).
    Please follow the steps above on how to get the diagnostic logs via spacedesk Driver Console.
    spacedesk Driver Console app generates a diagnostic folder name like “2023-03-15-XXXXX-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics” (which contains all necessary diagnostic log files), then this is the folder that you should compress (zipped).

    It is possible, just that Windows Display Control Panel/Settings user interface does not support it.
    This applies to spacedesk and all other displays.

    You can mirror screen 2 to all your iPad screens using spacedesk Driver Console with Videowall mode enabled.
    Just follow the workaround steps below:

    Let’s say you have these displays on your setup:
    screen #1 – main display [1920×1080]
    screen #2 – spacedesk iOS viewer [1920×1080]
    screen #3 – spacedesk iOS viewer [1920×1080]
    screen #4 – spacedesk iOS viewer [1920×1080]

    1. Open spacedesk Driver Console and enable Videowall mode
    2. Assign all clients connected to Video Wall.
    — You will see on Connections -> Active (3 connected), 3 iPad clients connected, click one of them, then click the Videowall tab in the right panel
    — In Wall Index box, enter any value e.g. „1“, then it will create a Video Wall1 underneath CONTROL
    — Then right-click the other 2 clients below, then select „Assign to Wall1“
    3. Change dimension of Video Wall1, by clicking it underneath CONTROL, set the Size (Width:Height) to 1920 : 1080

    Hi @pierrec12,
    Currently spacedesk allows up to 16 viewer connection simultaneously (via network) and I guess this also applies to USB cable connection.
    But we are not focused on this feature yet.

    Theoretically, connecting multiple android devices (maybe 2-3) via USB cable should work but it’s not fully tested yet.
    Currently, our main focus is to make it work properly in 1 device and fix all known issues that we still have.

    You can try connecting 2 of your android devices (via USB cable), and it should work though there are still some known issues you might observe.

    Hello;

    I have a Windows 10 desktop on a GB switch which is connected to professional Ubiquiti access points. I run 2 older samsung tablets as additional monitors. A speed test on the tablet is well over 100mbps. The screens on the tablet are not rocket fast, but are totally fine for messenger and discord.

    Recently I’ve randomly started getting this „Network bandwidth is low“ message despite having no evidence of having actual problems and being a fast / stable network equipment.

    I really appreciate this software, but am wondering if there is a fix for this or if I can disable this error? I do highly focused work and it’s better if I don’t have extra things popping up randomly.

    Im trying to get my Laptop as my 2nd Screen, i after i do the 1st connetion, that works, every other fail, also when i move screens on the windows settings menu it starts to fail to and i lose my main screen icons.

    The problems i got with the 2nd conection and on, either black srcreen on the laptop or i conect but can see the mouse or any apps.

    The „X“ button found on upper right corner of windows viewer when in full screen mode is currently intended for Windows (Surface) tablet that don’t have keyboard attached and no way to exit from full screen mode.
    We will improve this feature soon.
    In case you want to disable it, we can only suggest 2 things:
    – only maximize the spacedesk viewer window instead of full screen mode, OR
    – if you are not using the touch feature, maybe you can disable it in viewer’s Functionality settings -> Touch Off (temporarily), if you want to go to full screen mode.

    Exactly same here.
    Server: Win11, 4k Display, 1.0.65
    Viewer, Win10, Lenovo8 small tablet, 1200×800 native resolution. Detected as 1200×800
    Viwer downloaded from app store just now.

    Switching between portrait and ladscape mode didn’t help.
    It seems like horizontal and vertical size has been swapped or something.

    I draw a circle in paint what is an eclipse on tablet.
    My wallpaper is rotated left, and distorted.

    For Touchscreen issue on MSFS 2020:
    We have a previous spacedesk users that verified that MS Flight Simulator does NOT support/recognize touchscreen input (in general not just in spacedesk).
    And according to that user, it can only recognize mouse input from a remote display.

    We can only suggest either of the following:
    1. Use mouse touch which automatically activates on your second viewer connection.
    Current spacedesk’s touchscreen only supports in first spacedesk display, so on your first viewer app just activate touch screen first, then connect a second viewer app where you can move your flight simulator app and try to send the mouse touch input from there.
    2. Select relative touch input in your viewer app settings (the touch input will behave as mouse pad for your primary machine).

    For the Connected – Display Off issue:
    Did you check in the display settings if there’s a detached display?
    If it’s just detached, just attach it by selecting Extend or Duplicate in Multiple displays dropdown menu.

    If no detached display, please send us the diagnostic logs of the issue for further analysis.
    – open the spacedesk Console window app by clicking the spacedesk tray icon on your task bar’s notification area
    – click the Diagnostics on the left side panel
    – if Debug View is not available, please click the download button first
    – switch Diagnostic Collection ON (make sure to click Yes in the User Account Control box to proceed)
    – try to connect your viewer app and reproduce the issue
    – switch Diagnostic Collection OFF
    – click Save All Information button
    PS: Saving all information will take a few seconds, then please send us the whole folder which contains all the diagnostic logs collected.
    Please right-click the folder -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

    I need help. I can’t seem to get my iOS device or my laptop to connect to spacedesk consistently. I keep getting the black screen with „Connected – Display off“ message. I did manage to get it to connect two or three times, but I can’t seem to repeat this. It’s a hit-and-miss, most of the time a miss. And when I did get it to connect, the touchscreen function wouldn’t work in MSFS 2020 (I’ve only used Spacedesk in MSFS).

    I’ve watched YouTube videos and read several articles, and I’ve done all they suggested including:

    – Disabling Virtual Desktop & Virtual Desktop Streamer
    – Turning off IPV6
    – Adding an exception for spacedeskconsole.exe and spacedeskservice.exe in my Bitdefender firewall
    – Disabled my VPN
    – Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Windows 10 driver

    Does anyone have any other suggestion that would make this problem go away once and for all? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I use spacedesk for my streaming setup. When I play games there is a problem with stutters even though the fps is stable. This is apparently a known issue with different displays with no matching refreshrates.
    Would it be possible to set the refreshrate higher? Ultimately the android device only gets images sent does it not?

    I have two 120hz, so would it be possible to set the hz to 120 on the driver as well?
    Also for my needs I only need about 15 fps max on my tablet. Could we please also set a lower capture rate to sent over?

    I ran the old msi V1062 to uninstall the driver. Installing V1064 msi failed. Then went through the workaround steps to totally clear V1062. Installed V1064 using the new msi. With all monitors (both hdmi AND spacedesk) up and running, I worked with system for about 1 hour. At that point I performed a regular uninstall – reinstall process for V1064 as per your instructions. IT WORKED! Did not have to even reboot the computer. So it seems the issue is fixed.

    Is the screenshot showing the extension or mirrored display? Extension
    What is the native screen resolution of your primary monitor? 3840 x 2400

    What is the operating system of your tablet device? Android/iOS/Windows? Windows 10 Home

    I don’t have a problem with using my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, not my iPad, as secondary screens. It’s just this Windows tablet that is a problem.

    Hi, I’m using a Windows 10 tablet as a secondary display. The screen hardware supports up to 1920 x 1200 resolution.
    The display unfortunately looks very distorted (everything looks much flatter than they should be) on that secondary display, even though I’ve tried various settings such as using the native resolution, or changing the resolution manually. You can look at my attached screenshot to see how it looks like.

    Would someone be able to assist? Thanks!

    It appears that the install is totally incomplete but the setup installs seamlessly without problems or warning.
    Since yesterday, I reinstalled totally windows 11 and tried again with same result.

    I hope we will find a fix, spacedesk is so nice !

    Could you please check if you can find the following files:
    C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskService.exe
    C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskServiceTray.exe
    C:\Windows\System32\spacedeskConsole.exe
    Then run services.msc, find spacedeskService and check if the status is Running.

    For further analysis, please send us the following:
    – run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click „Save all information“ and send us the output file
    – spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
    – setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
    Please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file in your next reply.

    I had 2 direct USB clients (both Galaxy Tab SM-T290 tablets running on the latest Android 11 with current updates) and 1 network client (an older Nexus 7 tablet running on Android 5.1.1 that connects over a 2.4Gb network, still very decent response). I have 2 additional external monitor connected through the laptop’s Intel Iris graphics adapter.

    I should have clarified my experience with device manager’s leftovers. I realize that is not an accurate description. On a previous uninstall that I had to force finish and after rebooting, the device manager showed an entry for the spacedesk virtual Bus. I just removed it then and have made an habit of checking any trace of spacedesk remains. In my last uninstall/upgrade, besides the monitors I did not encounter any other refrences to spacedesk.

    Could you make it so that I could keep an old android tablet plugged in to my PC 24/7 and have it unlock when my PC turns on?
    My tablet continues to charge when my PC is off, and connects to spacedesk automatically when my PC boots. However, this does not happen when the tablet screen is off. Any way to fix this?

    yesterday ive installed spacedesk and it worked very good with a PC and a tablet, connected via USB-cable.
    today, i started spacedesk on PC and tablet and again, direct connection, no problems.

    2 minutes later, the connection lost and the IP can not been found anymore.
    and here we are, i did try everything…restart spaceviewer, restart the tablet, type in the ip from the PC etc…
    but no chance so far – the spacedesk viewer on the tablet „can not find a primary machine“.
    and i have no clue, why and how i could fix it.

    maybe you have ideas??

    Thanks for sending the reg file.
    Please follow the steps below:
    – Go to C:\Users\christian.ertl\AppData\Roaming\BetterDiscord\plugins and copy the spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1050_BETA.msi there.

    – Extract the *.reg file inside the regedit-data-modified.zip which I attached, double click it to merge in your registry.
    It’s the same reg file you sent I just added „PackageName“ and set it to „spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1050_BETA.msi“ in
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer
    \Products\325F9F2F024C6954BB7A89B74FE05538\SourceList

    – Then go back to C:\Users\christian.ertl\Downloads\spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate where spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1050_BETA.msi is located and right-click the get_trace.bat and run as Administrator.

    – If the „Remove“ button is available please try to click it.
    Otherwise, proceed with installation, then run again the msi and uninstall it via „Remove“.

    -If it still fails, please send us the updated spacedeskmsi_trace file.

    I see.. looks like System Restore point is broken.

    Next to try:
    – Run „regedit“ on your primary machine
    – go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes
    \Installer\Products\325F9F2F024C6954BB7A89B74FE05538
    – then right-click the „325F9F2F024C6954BB7A89B74FE05538“ registry key, select „Export“
    – Save the exported *.reg file in a folder then zipped it and send it to us.

    Using the last spacedeskmsi_trace.txt you sent, is „spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v1050_BETA.msi“ still in C:\Users\christian.ertl\Downloads\spacedeskMsiTraceGenerate folder?

    Hi @kadiya,

    Could you please check if your current graphics adapter has WDDM version below than 2.0.
    Just run dxdiag.exe, click Display tab and check for WDDM version.

    I’m installed Spacedesk v1.0.57 on Win 11 22h2. Unfortunately can’t duplicate the display.
    If anyone knows how to duplicate the display please help me.

    my graphics tablet: Huion 420

    While I was drawing in krita for drawing, I took a break and turned off the pen and started surfing the internet. However, when I opened the pen, I couldn’t see the pen’s cursor. I noticed that the pen cursor was on the tablet’s screen and I tried to fix it from the display control panel, but it didn’t work and even though the huion’s screens show the computer’s screen as the main, it continued.

    but it was fixed after removing the tablet to the computer and plugging it back in.

    Thank you for the information regarding the older iPad 2’s. If that is the case, I am a little sad because your app home page states iPadOS 9.3 or later which gives the impression that the iPad 2 hardware would be compatible as long as it can run 9.3.5.

    But also, it doesn’t really explain why installing the space desk app on an iPad Pro 12.9 1st gen (iPadOS 16) only installs spacedesk app version 1.0.49 which isn’t listed within the version history on the app’s home page. Shouldn’t this iPad model be able to install the most recent spacedesk app version 1.62 ? This IPad is also not managed and is just a fresh install from the app store.
